Second, I love the way you teach English, the way you explain the grammar rules and everything.....you remind me a lot of the teachers I had in England, when I went there to improve the English language... I lived in Oxford for several months, and that has been the best experience I've ever had in my life.....this quiz was too easy for me, a piece of cake, but I like watching your videos anyway, cause there's always someting to learn, right ?? I'm Italian, but my English level is pretty good because I had the chance and the fortune to study in Oxford with English teachers, and because I have lots of relatives who live in the States.... New Jersey, Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina....
PS my accent used to be more British in the past, now it's more American because of my cousins' bad influence 😅😅

Joe i have some dought on " convenienza / convinient " in italian conveninza is not always used in an economic/monetary way. It can refer " to saving time " and also " comfort " some times. Just an observation

Anche a me piace ascoltarti, nutro tuttavia dei dubbi sull’utilità di esercitarci rettificando frasi malamente tradotte in inglese: temo che esse possano a lungo andare risultarci familiari, favorendone così l’uso invece di limitarlo 🤔

Allora, nella traduzione mi ha fregato conveniente e non ricordarsi che bisogna usare la forma ing per azioni che sono prolungate nel nel tempo. Meglio col cercare gli errori ma grazie per le spiegazioni . Molto utili e chiare.😂
Nell'ultima frase da tradurre posso usare "fatiguing" anziché "tiring"? Grazie sei grande!
This was easy and fun. Just an observation: if you say in Italian "Vado a Londra PER trovare un amico" it means that, maybe, I don't know where he is, in London, and I have to FIND him or that I go there to find someone to be friends with. If I go there to visit/see a friend, then, I go there "A trovare un amico" or "per far visita a un amico". LOL

Che disastro le traduzioni dall'italiano all'inglese !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! La prima e la quarta le ho ciccate del tutto. Nelle altre ho fatto errorini, ma sinceramente pensavo meglio !!! La caccia agli errori nella seconda parte è invece andata molto meglio, perchè mi hanno colpito cose che stonavano in un qualche modo. Grazie
Joe però per noi dire è più conveniente, non è scontato significhi più conveniente “economicamente” può essere intenso anche come più comodo, meno stancante rispetto che so, all’ auto, più conveniente rispetto aereo perché ti porta dritto in centro città. Può voler dire varie cose. Più confortevole. O anche più conveniente economicamente, nel caso di stia parlando di spesa di viaggio:)

Nella mia grammatica del liceo, nella duration form la scelta tra il present perfect e il present perfect continuos non è opzionale: il primo si usa solo per i verbi di stato, ovvero che non esprimono un'azione, come avere, essere, sapere, conoscere, amare; il secondo è obbligatorio per gli altri. Ma sono passati 50 anni!

Tutti i test che ho fatto online mi hanno dato C1 come risultato ma io sono consapevole che non corrisponde affatto alla realtà! Io mi sento B1, dato che ho davvero molte difficoltà nella comunicazione. Vediamo con questo tuo test quale sarà il risultato :)
Avevo fatto un test che mi aveva dato B1. Queste le ho sbagliate tutte, è stata una strage😅
Capisco cosa intendi, anche io allo scritto sono sempre andata meglio che all'orale. Ci può stare che il risultato online sia diverso da quello che senti di avere nel complesso, ma è solo questione di pratica dello speaking. Se riesci a fare conversazione con qualcuno madrelingua o comunque avanzato, riuscirai ad avere un livello migliore anche all'orale e pareggiare il risultato. Io avevo sempre un ottimo punteggio allo scritto ma perdevo decisamente molto tempo all'orale per articolare le risposte da dare, ma alla fine ho cercato con chi fare pratica e sono riuscita ad ottenere un C1 grade B, finalmente con pochissima differenza di punteggio tra orale e scritto.

Bravo Joe, come sempre. Ho un paio di cose da chiedere: la frase 4 del primo esercizio l’ho tradotta con “it’s cheaper to go by train”, è un errore? Nella frase 5 sempre del primo esercizio ho utilizzato “demanding” invece di tiring: posso lasciarlo? Grazie!
Demanding si usa per stanchezza mentale qui si parla di stanchezza fisica to tire 😊😊😊
