What I liked is that when she used to force to summon nature, she wasn't picking or choosing what rose to the surface. You're dealing with nature and you deal with the consequences of nature. You're not controlling it - you're dealing with nature and it's consequences. That felt like something new.
She did say to reach out to everything.
Everyone whining about Asajj being dead are ignorantly overlooking the fact that the end of Dark Disciple does leave the ending open ended, as the pool turns green while Quinlan and Obi walk away. Which implies Dathomir magic is taking place. There's also the non-canon comic, Obsession, where Ventress died and was reborn. That was explained that she entered a Force-Healing trance after apparently dying. Has Theory read that? A lot of non-canon stuff seems to be showing up recently, so it's likely they explain that she was in a Force-Healing trance after being hit by Dooku's lightening and the healing waters of Dathomir resurrected her.
The book implies that ventress survives! Either ppl didn't actually read the book or misremember it, because quin lon puts her in a nIghtsister Magic lake and it says that the water starts glowing and reacting to her body..to be fair it doesn't blatantly say that the lake revives her but it subtly but obviously implies that the lake is doing "something mystical" to her body..so it left her fate open ended.. her "death" was written in a way that made it seem as if the lake would either heal her at best, or corrupted her with some witchy fuckery at worst..either way it was written as a way to give ventress a means to return if a future writer wanted to use her..its soo annoying when ppl say "she DIED WHY ARE THEY RETCONNING!?" Cuz if they actually read the book rather then hearing someone speak on it secondhand , they would KNOW that ventress coming back was set up at the end of the book. Its no wonder studios think their audience is stupid and need to hit us over the head with painful exposition ALL THE TIME! its because alot of the audience seems to need to be hit over the head and subtleties just fly over most ppls heads! Just because the book didnt blatanty say "ventress ROSE from the lake and levitated above the water like a god and bellowed I HAVE RISEN!!!!". Just as much as it DIDNT say "ventress died and was burned in a funeral pyre and quin lon cried as her useless ashes flew away into the wind never to be seen again!" Give me a fuckin break. DO WE ACTUALLY NEED TO HIT PPL OVER THEIR HEADS LIKE THEY ARE 6 YEARS OLD?!? obviously we do!

The point about studios thinking viewers is spot on. Time after time after time, Ventress literally says a high M count doesn’t make you a Jedi. We had Ahsoka which had Huyang say Sabine basically has no connection to the force. These scientific perspectives that the Jedi order had pre-order 66 during the prequels is ultimately why they fail. Omega doesn’t need a high m count to be force sensitive. It’s training, as Asajj said.
The voice actress for ventress said everything will be explained in other things down the road, meaning it wasn’t retconned.

In a fictional world you can always explain things. It's possible the dothraki magic used on Ventress simply gave her multiple lives. Like Catwoman in Batman. So she DID die, but it just used up a life. And it's essentially a form of reincarnation.
She is a night sister…they have powers that we dont fully understand so it’s entirely possible for her to be alive.
For years when people asked me about Ventress, I would say that she's the Drow Elf of Star Wars...looks like one and acts like one, IYKYK. Ventress is one of the few characters in the Star Wars Universe who has been trained in the ways of a Jedi as well as in the ways of the Sith...but she also was trained in the ways of the Sisters of Dathomir...making her Very Unique. While she never reached Jedi Master status nor Sith Lord status as Revan did, her combined training as well as her Sisters of Dathomir training, should put her head and shoulders above most Force Users...Most, not All. Remember, Obi-Wan was said to have had a low M-Count and didn't have a high connection to The Force as a Youngling, but through training his connection grew enormously. Ventress could likely be similar due to all her different methods of connecting to and with The Force.
OMG THIS EPISODE WAS AMAZING!!!!!! It was So Great to see Ventress again!!! She's such a Great Character and Definitely one of The Best Female Force Users! I know people are mad about about Her Being Alive, But when She Said "I still have a few lives left" It Made Me Believe that it was Nightsister Magick that Saved Her, So I think that's a Great way of staying True to The Book, And Bringing Back Such an Awesome Character that Everyone Loves! And it was So Cool to see Her Train Omega! I LOVE THIS SHOW SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!! I'M SOOOOOO EXCITED FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON!!!!!!

I didn’t see this as a retcon at all. They allowed the novel to be canon while it makes sense that she was resurrected. Obi-Wan and Quinlan laid her on dathomir in the waters and it began to glow green. Nightsisters whole thing is resurrection via magic so I wasn’t even surprised. Super glad they brought her back!

I know I'm gonna get called a mindless buffoon because I'm criticizing Disney, but this episode was just meh to me. Ventress was cool, but like why? We got a "somehow Ventress returned" moment just so she could say Omega is kind of force sensitive even though we've known that since the 3rd episode? Idk, if this was a side story in an episode it would have been great, but because it took a whole episode to tell us something we already know it was kind of boring. And yes you could argue, "world building! And character development!" But nothing new happened? Except Crosshair finding a buddy (Ventress) lol but that's about it

You have new female characters like Reva, Rey or some from new series The Acolyte but idgaf about them. Ventress beat them all as a female character who is really interesting and good written with cool story. That's the strong female character I want to watch

This is such a garbage show. It was good and then quickly went down the wrong path. They tried to capture some of the magic of clone wars but still could not. The "Disney-fication" was its downfall.
What if Tech was there though? Would Ventress have been able to beat all 4 of them? The bad batch is a lot more effective as a team when all of them are together.
