I wonder: why to try to improve an already perfect thing? If the handle of one of the best and most expensive knives doesn't fit your hand for the job you want to do should'nt simpler to look for a different knife?
yeah, thing was the leather handle was too small for my hand, so I wanted to make a new one that fits me, this one needs some sanding down still, but it fits nice now.
My guess, given that that looks like a well used knife is that he wanted a handle change on his existing knife, and not to just buy a new one. But hey, it’s just a guess.
@@silveriuscavalh2141 yo did a good job regardless bro. hey you could always go back and do stacked birchbark or both. there are a lot of kool combinations

Nice job. I find the handles on the Northern Lights series too slim and slipery.
You made that look easy. Nice job. Personally, I would sand it down a little bit more, cause Idun looks pregnant.
Yeah, you're right, I think I need to sand it down a little bit more. The original leather handle was too small, this one is a bit too beefy.
My thoughts exactly. I thought it looked a little like a pregnant trout
Out here rehandling an NL5 dressed like Marty McFly. Boss maneuvers 👍
in my opinion the leather handl is looks better

*10,000 time better! Horrible belly handle!*
Why didn't you do that with a much cheaper F1?

Hi. Thanks for your video. Can I know what kind of tool you used to unscrew the handle? Do you have any online reference? Thank you.
Hi, thanks for the comment, I made the tool myself from a piece of iron so it would fit nicely.
Dat is echt prachtig geworden! Duidelijke uitleg 👍🏼
If you were going to take the handle off you should have just bought the F1 PRO. ...
Yea.. I bought F1 pro in elmax so i can make a stacked leather handle ...
@@silveriuscavalh2141 well it would be cheaper than the NL5 ... just saying.
@@Bill-mw7sh precisely, that was my plan, nl5 is way too overpriced with average steel
