I like how close up and true to real life your filming of this was. I don't think I've ever seen a foundation review that was this real. When I first started getting into makeup, I couldn't understand why I couldn't make my base look the same as in videos. Now I know... x

I usually have trouble finding the correct color because of limited shades offered and usually have to mix but the I was able to find my correct color in the PM (thanks to your other video about undertones). This is a great video! I am always worried about trying new foundations online. This encourages me to go into my Sephora to get color matched to the PM foundation to test it out. I would be super bummed to spend that kind of money and have it not match!

Have you tried the Charlotte Tilbury airbrush flawless foundation? Would love to watch a tutorial and get your feedback. Thought they both look great on you, I liked the Armani foundation better than the Pat McGrath. I can see the differences in the color on your forehead and along the hairline. This was an excellent tutorial and product review. You really know how to speak to women trying to be their best selves.

Which of the two did you find had the most coverage?
On camera it looked like the Pat Magrath foundation had more pigment and so would maybe cover blemishes better whereas the Luminous Silk seemed more opaque but it’s difficult to tell.
Which of the two do you think would cover redness, blemishes etc the best?
Kathy Jones Parry hi Kathy! I feel like they have almost identical levels of coverage to be honest. The difference for me was more how they felt on my skin. The PMG felt more like a serum foundation and the Armani felt like a traditional lightweight liquid. I hope this helps!

I'm a new subscriber and just wanted to say that I'm loving your channel. I have been so frustrated with my makeup lately and spent more money than I care to think about on different stuff trying to have that perfected look. After I watched your foundation and concelear videos, I did my makeup like you suggested and oh my gosh, what a change!!!! It's SO much better!! I'm 34 and dehydrated/oily skin, so what I was using and the way I was using it just aged me more. My question is: I'm used to a very matte foundation. I'm trying to get away from that, but with my oily skin I don't want to get too dewy. What fountain would you suggest that lasts a long time and is demi matte or natural skin finish?

Amber Wuollet hi Amber, great question! I usually apply my foundation with a brush, blend as best as possible, then blend with a beautyblender after to “finish” the look after. I do like to apply with fingers for these videos for an “as intended” finish before showing how I would normally blend it. I hope that makes sense! 😊

As a fellow ginger I really struggle to find a pale enough foundation. Obviously I always buy the palest in whatever brand but then how do I find a even lighter concealer? Should I just use one of the same colour and just lose out on the ‘brightening’ aspect of it? Iv never bought one before because it seems pointless. I searched for a makeup UA-camr for ages who was similar to me and I finally found you 😆🧡
Hi Laura! Have you gotten a chance to watch the undertones video yet? That might be helpful! For concealers, you can always add a drop of white into the mix, Colourpop makes a pure white concealer that can be blended with any shade to make it as light as needed. Thank you! For Estee Lauder, I wear the Dawn shade when I have my faux tan. I LOVE the armani and can't recommend it highly enough. It's one of the few products that I have used and repurchased consistently over the past 10 years. It is a bit pricier, so I don't throw it on for quick errands, but for longer wear it's truly a beautiful foundation.

Hello Molly I am 41 years old and when I was younger I had all the techniques and all but .. life happened. Unfortunately I was in a very abusive marriage. And stayed for a very long time because my little boy who is now 7 is autistic.. I was a stay at home mom who did everything for my son.. I was the stole caretaker and didnt have any help at all. I have no family and had moved to a different state and just never made friends because of how things were in my home. I always smiled and noone ever knew..
It has truly made me a different person and it got so bad that I had to scrape for anything I needed whether it be shampoo or anything he refused to do anything for me but I was expected to clean cook laundry n anything else ir there were major consequences..
Finally I just could not take it and he started to verbally abuse our son and couldn't accept he was autistic and although it wasnt right he did what he did to me emtional physical and mentally abusive.. I would not let him n could not to our son..
I literally left with absolutely nothing but what i could fit packed n take of my sons and tried to come back for my things but he destroyed it all. In the state I live they are very strict on child welfare so I just left and made sure I had some stability n have done all I could because that was his threat he would make sure he was taken.
I struggle and am getting therapy but I left myself go. I also suffer from Lupus n it's hard. I recently was gifted with a 100 dollar ulta gift card.. and I want to get the main base stuff. I have dry to combination skin.. medium brown hair. My skin is slightly sensitive.. I have scars from cystic acne in the past. I try to do skin care but it is so expensive. I do boxycharm to get some but I I have so many products I cannot use but I always come out on top so it's the one thing I do for myself. Although someone in my church gifted mine for 6 months.
Anyways I found you and u have alot of great advice and are older it's hard to watch n listen to the younger gals. My skin sometimes get dryer around my nose and I break out around my mouth n chin. All the full coverage foundations are so matte and it just doesnt seem to work for me maybe I'm wrong. I dont know. But I was just wondering if u could suggest some products for me. I do like full coverage but hate the weight but blending is key I know.. a good concealer. I use the Age rewind dark circles one but i know I really need another for more. I use this one I have even if I'm jaut around the house it helps. I have horrid under eye dark green almost and my eyelids are dark too so I have to put product on them as well. I just got Murad Hydrodynamic eye cream and I am beyond thrilled to have eye cream. There are more times than not that I cant eben afford to buy face soap. I also got PMD FACIAL CLEANSER N IM thrilled especially being older. . I so need some skin care as well but I want to get some foundation and the basics. First. I always believed that if you have a great base u can make the othe makeup look amazing no matter the product. I will send my email.. so that if yoh feel better sending me a response that way. I appreciate any and all advice you have. I love watching your channel and Hve told so so many about u.

Which pat grath foundation is this
So, I bought the Armani Luminous Silk because of your videos using it and I need some feedback from everyone in the comments. I have super dry skin, and makeup seems to just dry up and disappear off of my face after a few hours. The makeup is not dewey at all for me. I use a primer, but I'm thinking my primer isn't good enough. I have tried the Dior face and body primer and I've tried the RX primer that most people like. Can anyone help? Why does my makeup come off so easily? I really wanted to love the Armani Luminous but I'm not sure it's working for me. HELP!
Hi Kristin! It sounds like your skin might be dehydrated. Are you using acids or exfoliating a lot? This can sometimes cause skin to "eat" the makeup, as it's searching for moisture wherever it can find it. If so, I'd stop exfoliating/using acids and let your skin have a chance to build it's natural moisture barrier back up. Switching to an oil as your nighttime moisturizer might help as well! My biggest problem are pores. How can I get rid of them? My foundation looks bad, really bad in those pores/holes
This is super old so you probably won’t see this but try the Tatcha Silk Canvas primer. It really helps. I also wipe over my pores with a glycolic acid toner before applying primer to shrink my pores down. The Ren Glow one or the Pixi Glow Tonic is amazing for that, pores shrink in seconds

Am I the only one that dislikes the Armani foundation? I bought it and tried it this week. $83 Canadian for a full bottle... It did nothing for me and slicked off my skin after 4 hours. I have very dry skin and I used a primer.
