I am also a Deshpande I am 83 born , I was born few days before Vasant Rao ji passed away. I am not related to Vasantrao ji or his family in any way still I can relate the song and these lyrics with events in my life.
Marathi people don't have proper Urdu talaffuz in general but Rahul's talaffuz is outstanding. Saw Rahul and got to listen to him in phoenix market City events few days ago . I expect him to play major part at national level however he is confined to marathi industry.
He is a Legend 🙏🏻
And one day marathi classical will be globally recognised mainly because of Despande Gharana

I just did not understand why Durga Jasraj was featured in this movie! She did not sing!!!! Was she cast in this role because she is the co producer? Was it out of respect for the great Sangeet Marthand Padmavibhushan Pandit Jasraj? I will never know.
