I'm sure you've thought this through. The 2 biggest criticisms an older sports car buyer would face, are: It's a classic midlife crisis move. And (applicable to all ages) it is an expensive move that is ill advised financially.
I know you've experienced financial stress in the past. And you are a thinker when it comes to midlife. I'm sure you'll have a well thought out response.

Happy for you John - many miles and even more smiles ahead. As I picked up a criminal speeding ticket this week, video was more than a bit ironic for me. I test drove a black C8 in April. Hella bang for buck - no doubt. Sadly, my sports car driving days may be behind me. I will be living vicariously through your videos for now. Motor on my friend.

I say YES in the matte black! My buddy had that exact Corvette. He put a matte black wrap on it and it took it to level 10. Looked sick! He just got a gray Z06 and sold the matte black 3LT to his boss. Our company car is a 2LT Malibu. They get me a new one every two years. Company buys my car, pays insurance, and gas. Can't complain about that. At some point I'll buy a Corvette of my own.

Congrats on getting the C8 Corvette. It is definitely a head turner of a car. I like the styling used for the engine bay. I'm not against wrapping it, but i would prefer to either put some orange stripes on the car or maybe ceramic coat the car and ppf to protect that sweet black paint.

What a great choice for a car, Chevrolet did a fantastic job on this design of the C8. I like the black on black setup you have, and I didn't know there was a high wing option but I like it a lot.

I think I’d leave it black. The car looks great. Regarding corvettes, never been a fan. Even as a kid. Always been into 911s even from the early 70’s. That said, this version is REALLY good. A lot of bang for your money and the car is very competitive on the track. Congrats and best wishes.

Awesome pick. I don't like targa tops. When they're off and your doing some hard driving you can feel the car twist. That being said I love the car.

Well let's see...Corvettes....I have purchased only 6 of them. C3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and then a C6Z06 with only 6k miles. Between it and my M5. Two absolute Rockets! The great part about Vettes is that mine just haven't ever had maintenance issues. 3lt, NICE!!

As for the car, the R8 is also my dream car as well, you could not made a better choice With the new C8 body style Corvette , as for the color, I like seeing the lines and I think that orange color that you love would be a perfect color for a wrap🙏🏽

We drive Dodge scat packs and some of the guys in the group have C8 Vettes. So nice. I’d go white stripes on the black. A full wrap is a maintenance nightmare believe me. Congratulations and enjoy.

I love the new 'Vette. It is as you say the best Bang for your buck supercar (ever offered). That is a super example. You have to personalize it as you will, but since you asked: Clear Bra only. That thing is sick as is now sits.
I have driven a supercharged '99 NSX as my toy car for 15 years, and have a RR Sport SVR as my company car & daily driver, and the only reason I have not sold the NSX and bought a 'Vette is for the very reason that they are able to be sold far below what I think they are worth; ubiquity. I'm a showoff, and I like to have people recognize "my" car.
But if I were to have to buy a daily driver replacement, I can't think of a finer car than you just bought. Congrats.

Good luck in your surgery. It will be all right! About the car, congrats! You are correct, the best bang for the buck, and you can always swap it at some point in the future, so use it and enjoy it! I liked your thinking on modding with carbon in the interior, that would be super. Annnnnd, wrap it in orange, with the black accents as you pointed out in your video for the white matte version.
