I I was so inspired that I tried these on my daughter the same day that I watched this video. It took me less than a day (she is 3 yrs old and very patient as long as we watch a few movies lol) and we both loved them. She even whipped her hair like you lol. I kept them in for a month and maintained them the way you demonstrated. Now I have to find someone to do mine because my husband loves them too! Hers will be back in after an upcoming mommy/daughter natural hair show 😊 LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
Hi chantilskinner!! That is so awesome!! Yes, it takes a while to do your own but I may be putting mine back in this weekend. I don't know. I wish I knew someone who could do it the way I want them done but they would probably get frustrated with my particulars. lol
I love my twists too!!! I cant wait til my hair is as long as yours its BEAUTIFUL!!! twist also make for a great twist out for a few days when you take them down love em
Have you heard of Urban Bush Babes? One of the young ladies on that channel does the same two twists technique on her hair. Her name is Cipriana. She has about 150 small twists throughout. You both have very similar textures. Both of you have lovely hair.
Hi Baruch1girl!! Yesssss, I love Cipriana! That is where I got the loose two strand twist hairstyle from. I tried the two strand twists and the individual twists looked good but it made my hair flat because it is very thin and I do not like the overall look. I saw her videos on loose two strand twists and finally tried it and I live them!! I might end up putting them in today but I'm pregnant and tired. lol We'll see! Thank you!
How often do you co-wash during the month you have the twists in? Do you re-twist when you co-wash or only after you wash? I think I noticed that you start your twists with a three strand braid and then twist to the end, am I right? PLEASE continue to make more videos, they're so helpful for us 4C girls. THANK YOU :)
Hi DACC2010! I usually co-wash the twists once a month. I re-twists right after I co-wash. I do start with three strand braids so the roots are tight - otherwise it will detangle at the root much faster than I want. Thanks so much!!
I LOVE YOUr hair and thank you for sharing. Congratulations also on your baby. I saw where you do not do many videos, but may I make a request for better lighting please?
Hi annette onyango daido! I basically use Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair and Jojoba Oil. I wear them for about a month, wash them and re-twist or take them down as that.
Denise W I sure do! My hair sucked up the water and dries out so fast by the time I sit down and get to each piece it's practically dry again. lol So, I'm working with just enough moisture. Thank you!
Zerolynn Murray I did a thorough finger detangling each time I did the twists. However, I did find that my hair liked to "lock" or join together. So I did get loss! I will do a video when I get the chance.
Hi Harlem Hotie. They are loose strand twists because they are barely twisted. it actually looks like loose hair or locs depending on how long you have been wearing them.
Oh, okay…small braids cause more manipulation when taking them out…I like variety so much that I prefer larger braids just for night prep, or just hanging around the house. Twists are easier to remove for me. Retaining length is difficult when your hair is at that mid-length…say 4 - 6 inches long.
nadastressed Yes, I sooo wanted to wear small braids because it elongated the length of my hair while protecting it but I did not want to deal with the take down and tangles so I have to give that up. lol Plus, like regular twists, I didn't have any volume and they laid flat and lifeless on my head so I don't currently do those either. I really love loose two strand tests because it keeps my hair detangled and easy to manage, give it movement, and mimics my loose hair nicely!
Bronzeey1 OK, its a Goody Banana Clip. It is definitely hard to keep it together! I use a banana clip because a ponytail holder will not hold my hair right. I really wish they would make stronger banana clips because here lately even my banana clip pops when I am trying to use it.
Thanks I will look for some. I've brought so many hair clips and barretts and they just not strong enough either to hold natural hair and or they pull your hair out.
+laddidi rarebreed I finger detangled my hair and very loosely twisted two strands around each other. Basically, holding the strands from the ends and lightly twisting. It takes two seconds and looks like loose hair. If it looks like a twist, it's probably too tight.
Your hair is beautiful, but it's really hard to see it (too dark). Maybe try making videos in a more well lit room or maybe add more brighter lighting to the room.. Just a suggestion, not trying to offend. :)
Hi MahaganeeKotton! I know - I didn't plan to make multiple videos but I got so many requests to show certain ways I do styles so I went ahead and recorded it. I'm not really about that vlogging life! lol
Hi MsCuriousgirl123! I know, lol I'm not really a vlogger. I didn't anticipate making so many videos. The ones I made after my first one was in response to a request.

Hi Franisha Hines! Yes, I'm thinking about putting them back in this weekend. Not sure though!
Yaaayyyyyy!!!! I've been waiting for this video. My lil one and I are both 4c and I'm always seeking low manipulation styles for her.
Hi chantilskinner! My daughter is also 4C!!

Staycee Pearl Thank so much!
Love all your hair vids. Keep it up! I'm also a 4c lady, this helps.
Hi M Anderson! Thanks so much!
Loved the hair Whipping at the beginning 😆
Thank you AfroHairAddictions AHA!!
thanks for this vid. This has been my go to protective style for the last few months. This month I added a little marley hair for my updo:)
Hi 123leahm! I love this style so much. I wish I could put them in and take them out faster, but other than that it's great!
THANKS FOR SHARING
Clementine Woods Thank you for Watching!!
how do you keep them from unraveling? It is so pretty!
When you twist it to the end it won't unravel. I do the very very ends a little tighter.

angelisa t. Yes, I know my lighting isn't great. I'll try a lighter room next time. Thanks so much!!
no thank you :)
Nice vid. Ur so pretty
Thanks so much Dirkster Princess!!
I love this! Can you list the products please and how long do you wear your twists before taking them down?
Hi annette onyango daido! I basically use Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair and Jojoba Oil. I wear them for about a month, wash them and re-twist or take them down as that.
your twists are lovely. Is it possible to list the products you used?
Hi sugareye! Thank you. I use Cantu Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil.
How do you wash your hair when its loose, or do you always wash in twisted sections one at a time?
Hi Hannah L. I definitely wash my loose hair in section!! If i don't it will be a tangled mess, lol so yes- always in sections!
Hi Alexis BD, do you retwist while your hair is still wet? Thank you for sharing your methods. You and your hair are gorgeous!!
Denise W I sure do! My hair sucked up the water and dries out so fast by the time I sit down and get to each piece it's practically dry again. lol So, I'm working with just enough moisture. Thank you!
How do you prevent your twist from locking? After a week of twist my hair starts to tangle onto itself. Thanks.
Zerolynn Murray I did a thorough finger detangling each time I did the twists. However, I did find that my hair liked to "lock" or join together. So I did get loss! I will do a video when I get the chance.
Your hair is gorgeous; about how many twists do you put into your hair every time?
Hi- I have no idea how many twists there are I just part my hair into small sections and make those sections smaller. lol
Thanks so much for this video... However I have what may seem like a silly question, but why do you call it "loose" two strand twist?
Hi Harlem Hotie. They are loose strand twists because they are barely twisted. it actually looks like loose hair or locs depending on how long you have been wearing them.
Ahhhhh okay lol thanks so much for the response :-)
SO pretty. I can't wait until my hair is as long as yours. How long did it take you to get to that length?
+dee yannie Thanks so much!! It was 4 years.
how often do you wash in loose two strand twists? your bun looks so pretty!
Hi saldiamond! I was about once a month. Thank you!
Nice. So, did you 2-strand twist when your 4C hair was short?
Hi nadastressed! Yes, when my hair was shorter I did twists but I mostly did braid outs.
Oh, okay…small braids cause more manipulation when taking them out…I like variety so much that I prefer larger braids just for night prep, or just hanging around the house. Twists are easier to remove for me.
Retaining length is difficult when your hair is at that mid-length…say 4 - 6 inches long.

Can you show me and name the barrett thats holding your hair together. Its hard to find barretts to natural hair? Thanks.
How do you loosen it?
+laddidi rarebreed I finger detangled my hair and very loosely twisted two strands around each other. Basically, holding the strands from the ends and lightly twisting. It takes two seconds and looks like loose hair. If it looks like a twist, it's probably too tight.
what you use for your regime capillary ?
Hi Carolle Milord! Are you asking what products I use? I mostly use shea butter and oils.
Your hair is beautiful, but it's really hard to see it (too dark). Maybe try making videos in a more well lit room or maybe add more brighter lighting to the room.. Just a suggestion, not trying to offend. :)

Lovely hair! That must take quite long to do because of the length. I make videos aswell feel free to check out my channel
Thanks Love Lafeya, it does. Will do!
Bad lighting
