- After not speaking to one another for ten years, Scrooge McDuck is reunited with Donald Duck after he and his three nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie move into McDuck Manor. The presence of the newcomers rekindles Scrooge's spirit of adventure, leading the group to go on many new treasure-hunting expeditions, while the nephews and their new friend, Webby, uncover the truth behind what caused their uncles to become estranged and retire from adventuring. It all happens in Disney XD's reboot of their popular "DuckTales." Join actors David Tennant, Danny Pudi and Ben Schwartz as they discuss voicing characters in the new show.

Danny's energy is like 50% 16 year old and 50% Dad
this is so heccin accurate
I love it
abed would be freaking out about meeting inspector spacetime
Yeah, exactly. I just kept thinking how happy Danny looked to be there....
+
YESS
Haha fax
nerds! :p
Tennant has played as a time-traveling alien, a zombie killing art thief, and now a trillionaire duck.
This guy has done everything.
also purple man
Vincent Latora Don't forget a grumpy detective with a heart issue(Broadchurch)
And Casanova
And a wizard
Basically he's a fucking legend!!!
Ben doesn’t get nearly enough laughs or applauses, he doesn’t get enough love in general but he’s so funny.
The Doctor, Abed and Jean-Ralphio
You mean Cherry Dude
That’s a ridiculous name. In reality he is played by a man with a very oooordinary name. Oh his name?
hehe i was thinking the exact same lol
I thought it was Jope or Charles Crushtoost
Doctor and Abed in the morning...
Right now I'm pretty confident I could recognize David Tennant's voice anywhere
And now that I've seen the whole video: love that he's going with the times "a girl in a box that travels through time" I would probably have said alien though...
this!
we were watching Ferdinand in class one day and I just immediately recognized his voice andjjfjfkkfkj
Ok, I've loved David ever since he was on Doctor Who, but OH MY GOD these three together are so freaking hilarious! They need their own comedy show, STAT!
I specifically searched for this comment so that I wouldn't have to write it.
They do
It’s called duck tales
Ben Schwartz has the power to infect others with severe comedy improvisation skills
I mean, I came here for Danny Pudi, was ecstatic to see David Tennant, but haven't heard of Ben Shwartz before. He made me non-stop laughing!
And now he's Sonic
Check out middleditch and shwartz on netflix. It's long form improv and they're two very funny people
He got ran over by a LEXUS
I have never heard of any of them until ducktales!
@@user-hy1rk5ux6z
Not even the ever precious and pure-minded Doctor, demon, evil wizard, purple dude, and Detective Inspector, David Tennant?!
HOW DID I NOT KNOW THAT DAVID TENNANT AND DANNY PUDI WORKED TOGETHER???? I HAVE STOPPED WORKING
Yeah how was this the first time I knew they were in this reboot I've known about for so long what
I love how this slowly became Ben Schwartz stand-up
Ben pointing the mic at Danny's feet while he was Polish dancing and Danny fangirling over David 😂
I cannot believe Danny did not acknowledge that he is in the MCU when they were discussing it.
Catch 22 Productions he's in winter solider for like a second
He's technically in the DCU as well.
Galactic123 no. That's not apart of the DCU. There is no tv show in the DCU
So is David, he’s Purple Man in Jessica Jones.
them crossing their legs one after the other was really satisfying for some reason lol
In general that was one of the funniest interviews I've seen. Never before have I seen the interviewees assault (in the nicest way) the interviewer before.
Oh God! ^///-///^
That had me rolling.
"She's a girl in a box that travels through time" I love you David ❤️
Daww Danny! David is his Doctor too! 🙏
Such a great cast!
OH, when did he say this?
The question where he says that is at 23:00
We got the Doctor Who Fandom, the Community Fandom, and the Parks and Rec Fandom. Wow.
And don't forget the DuckTales Fandom
"you're my doctor and you're my scrooge."
reminds me of abed. cool cool cool.
this is probably the best disney promo press they can came up with to sell the heck out of a disney product
schwartz is straight up hilarious as allways
9:24 _"Is it the same as Pole Dancing?"_ Oh God, when you're so used to watching Ducktales and all of a sudden I hear Scrooge saying that line XD
The terrible thing is that pole dancing was the first thing I heard when he said Polish dancing...
Well, its pole *ish*
7:43 Technically Danny Pudi is IN the MCU. He is a crew member on the Helicarrier.
Enycma Pie *triskellion
How is Ben not Scottish? That accent was so convincing
Hes a master at his craft
Ok, now I'm going to need a movie with these three in it. They are so hilarious together!
That what I was thinking
Abed Nadir (Danny Pudi) laughing that hard when Sonic (Ben Schwartz) mentions the MCU... Man! The Empire that Community directors(Joe & Anthony Russo) helped create, and in which Danny Pudi himself made a cameo... Soooo meta!
WHAT A DUCKING TIME TO BE ALIVE!
#andamovie
God, Tennant is so perfect for Scrooge! I wish I could get to meet him at a convention, though. Unfortunately, he's not coming to Wizard World Nashville, as far as I know.
Got to meet him at Awesome Con in D.C. in June. He was incredibly nice to everyone and personally to my son who has Aspergers. :-)
Serena Hudson he's a great actor and voice actor
Serena Hudson that is an honor for David Tennit plays Scrooge Mcduck Rest in peace to Alan Young
Michael A Burns
I wonder what would Alan Young thought of the show coming back.?
Serena Hudson yea unfortunately he is not coming to wizard world/con Montgomery. I was so excited when my dad told me he was at it but checked and its so far away from here. Guess we are both out of luck.
Every interview with the Ducktales cast are so chaotic and hilarious, I'm just glad the interviewer went along with it
The girl who went "AND 5 6 7 8!" and almost started Chorus Line's theme is my favourite ever.
imagine singing the ducktales theme but instead of:
"ducktales, woo!"
it's:
"doctor, who!"
If I remember correctly, the Axis of Awesome did a Doctor Who / DuckTales theme mashup/ parody.
I’m surprised no one asks David about if there’s any similarity to playing Scrooge to The Doctor. Of being an iconic part of a revival of a classic television show and carrying the legacy of two generations of fans. They talk about the legacy of Scrooge and DuckTales and not how that compares to the legacy of the Doctor from the 60s and the 80s
ben pointing the mic at danny's feet just killed me
27:41
I like how David just criss-crossed his his legs while sitting in the chair like a little kid. It's adorkable.😁😍
@twheels
Ikr!😌 That's one of the reasons he is one of my celebrity crushes! 😍😊🤓
I came here for David Tennand and I did NOT expect to see polish dancing here omg hahahahahaaha greetings from Poland lol that looks legit I mean it's not like a professional routine but the thing with kicking and jumping is pretty hard to do and requires some practice, I ceertainly cannot do it lol wow
Did he just say his dance instructor was Pan Ryszard lol omg I can't I'm living for this haha
I am a huge fan of David Tennant but also Danny Prudi! I highly recommend the show Community
Doctor Who, Sonic the Hedgehog and Abed from Community walk into a bar
Ducktales
Ben Schwartz is far more than just Sonic....
I think you mean Jean-Ralphio
He's also Randy Cunningham and Leonardo (Rise of the TMNT)
Bricktendo I don’t think the person never watched the show
It should have been they walk into a bar called ducktales
“You’re my doctor and you’re my scrooge” 😂🥺🥺 So sweet
I love that David Tennant always mentions Allison Janey, he was a huge West Wing fanboy
What a great interview. These guys are a riot together.
29:11 DAVID, lmao I died "let's have more piz-za!" a true scrooge mcduck line
"If you like the movie Momento...." *David dies of laughter*
I wasn't sure if I felt like watching a 30 minute interview, but the accent bit in the middle is so worth it.
I--------- Danny pudi, David Tennant, and Ben schwartz??? I never thought I needed it but here we are
Polish dancing was not something I expected when jumping into this but god I loved every bit of it
It’s hard to imagine these guys don’t hang out on site together and they record separately as they have such great chemistry together.
THIS CAN BE EASILY THE BEST INTERVIEW EVER HELD
tennants freaking converse. I love it so much.
Looking back on this interview, David has his red hair. That’s his Crowley hair. He was preparing for Good Omens at the time.
Nah... I paused it at 25:06 specifically so I could get a closer look and REALLY examine the color of his hair. Good Omens came out like... Google says 2019 but I think it was late 2018 actually. I could be wrong... This interview was before the first episode DuckTales 2017 was out August 12th. David Tennant was actually finishing up Broadchurch before doing DuckTales. His hair is still brown. Hadn't dyed it that firey ginger yet... Heh. Ginger.😏
P.s.- Sorry. I'm very OCD and a bit of a stickler when it comes to a certain detail. Plus, I'm a fangirl that apparently(I just noticed how obsessive I am) pays attention to hair color...
Stanford Pines Good Omens came out May 2019, and I remember because I watched it as soon as it came out! They filmed the series in 2017 and it ended in early 2018. David coloured his hair prior to filming, as he had already been cast in the role. This interview was maybe a month (give or take a few days) before they began shooting, because they officially started in September 2017. Broadchurch finished filming its final series around mid-2016, so he would have had time to colour his hair for Good Omens. DuckTales also announced its cast in late 2016, but the voice production would’ve taken less time than filming a full TV series like Broadchurch.
Don’t worry about it, I’m extremely OCD myself!
@@myrin265 from what I read (and what are Gaiman and Mackinnon posting in these months) Good Omens was filmed between september 2017 and march 2018....so that's it. This interview should be just before he went full ginger
@twheels
Wanna know something weird? I'm actually recently watching Broadchurch(2013) for the first time and while I've heard of Gracepoint(2014), I've never actually watched it. I just looked up both shows and pulled up images of both Alec Hardy(Broadchurch) and Emmett Carver(Gracepoint) and I looked closely between both pictures. It may just be my sleepy brain but his hair does actually look a little red in the Gracepoint pic compared to the Broadchurch one, where it seems his hair is more brown. That would mean that his hair got a little more red between the time he started doing Broadchurch to the time he started doing Gracepoint... 🤔 °trails off and starts mumbling like Midoriya often does°
Schwartz is such a comedic genius
Ben Schwartz is killing it, live him so much
14:42 Oh goodness, the Leeroy Jenkins reference. I saw the interview (or was it a presentation?) where somebody first mentioned that to him and Ben Schwartz said he'd steal that method of describing his character. from then on. Glad to see he wasn't joking.
Leeroy Jenkins is also mentioned as a trope on the TV tropes page for the show
I had no idea David Tennant was in this. If I get the chance, I'll watch the hell out of this.
This interview has strong Ducktales energy, even. Having watched the entirety of the show that's out so far, that part where they crowded the interviewer could have straight-up happened in an episode of Ducktales and it would be completely believable.
Those 3 have great chemistry
Dudes.... dudes.... my three most recent hyperfixations are Sonic, Community, and Doctor Who....... there’s no way I can watch this show without losing my mind
That's such an amazing coincidence! I want an update on this lol
This is the most chaotic interview ever and it gave me so much serotonin
This is actually the funniest interview I've ever seen
I am going to be sorely disappointed if Scrooge doesn't say "timey-wimey" at least ONCE during the series!
That would be so cool!
It's 2020. So as you know, he unfortunately doesn't...
@@nerdymusicianfangirl7024 shows still going grunkle stan
@@kevinnelson6070 THAT IS GRUNKLE FORD YOU MILKED PINECONE
I can only imagine the copyright problems with that lol
Hadn't heard of Danny or Ben before this interview, but boy are all 3 of these guys characters! Enjoyable interview through and through.
Watch the ABC News interview with the three of them. Absolutely hilarious. Especially when she gets them to sing the theme song at end -- after they admit they don't remember the lyrics...........
Christian Hendrickson Ben Schwartz was in some Jake and Amir episodes. That's all I remember.
check out danny on community! his character is amazing
Three actors from three of my favourite shows
Tennant is right, it means a lot. I loved duck tales as a kid. Now I hear that three of my favorite comedians/actors, Danny Pudi from Community, Tennant from Jessica Jones and Brilliant Movies, Ben Shwarts from Park and Rec and many more are voicing my childhood characters is amazing.
I'm glad Jessica Jones didn't destroy my perception of Tennant (don't get me wrong, he was great as Kilgrave) he's perfect as Scrooge. Actually the whole cast is. And it's nice how the brothers each have their own style/personality
i totally understand what you mean, i mean killgrave is possibly still the most outright "evil" of the MCU villains, but Tennent is such a likeable dude that you forget all that
I feel like all i do is stalk tennant wherever he goes from harry potter and onward, i did the same thing with mark pelligrino, I'm not sure what i'm getting into but i know a great actor will guide me through it
Hey look, I am a stable 60 year young happily married mom of three and haven't felt this way about an actor since....well....never. I have never found someone so talented and yet so very nice to all his fans. Never a nasty word or a moment where he cannot take some time to talk to them. And always with a smile.
This interview is everything. These guys are hilarious together
This was fabulous! Yes, David is my doctor and now my Scrooge! AWESOME!!!!
honestly, i think its somewhat impossible to like any of the modern Doctors more than Tennent. Eccleston was a solid start, Matt Smith marks when the series got too popular, Capaldi was novel but i found his episodes uninteresting, and Jodie Whittakers Doctor i just havent seen so i have no opinion. the three i always hear about are Eccleston, Tennent, and Smith and anyone who likes smith more than the other two are just wrong
LOVE David Tennant so much! I can't wait to watch DuckTales especially because he's playing Scrooge! :)
I keep thinking that when they introduce Ben he says something along the lines of, "My name... Is, uuhm.. my very real name is Cherry... Dude..."
Ducktor Woo :)
I love all of them. This is my ultimate comfort interview 🥺
Lower? More like "SCOTTISH SCOTTISH MORE SCOTTISH!!" But ofc David asks for a South African because he knows his is terrible
I CAME AS SOON AS I HEARD
overwhelmed kiwi all the way from london, damn
I'm not here for you
ooooooooh
ANGELICA
I hope you cleaned up after yourself... Geez.
Best interview ever
29:20 "Lets have more Pizza"
I have found my ringtone
Now I finally know why Dewey says "Yeah, yeah, yeah" a lot. It's like Star with "Totally, totally, totally"
best interview i've seen in ages
danny's polish dancing makes this
6:05 Scrooge is somewhere over 150 years old in canon as far as I know, so yeah just a bit older
Clicked for David Tennant.... but I don't think I needed to know that the Milkman from Jake and Amir is playing Dewey. I can't un-make that connection now.
i always think of him as the one who makes stupid bets with Amir
" This show has meant *alot* To people in the past!"
And it means so much to us now its so sad its ending
We had a duck named Launchpad once...and he couldn't fly to save his life
I was so afraid that I would not be able to unhear Jean-Ralphio, Abed or the Doctor... but man they made all those rolls their own.
I never expected these three people to ever be in the same room
My mom bought the Ducktales dvds, same with Darkwing Duck, Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, and Tale Spin when I was very little and I watched them all the time. I love this new series, and thank the lord the cast are so charming and fantastic
Not in a million years did I expect Danny to say “Mazurka”. What an amazing interview, loved every second of it!
The lost city of Atlantis.
Well, if you’re a fan of Good Omens you may be screaming right now.
Ilaria Russo indeed i am
Why so?
The Doctor is Forever. Watching this because David Tennant kicks butt as the Tenth Doctor!
ben's accents bit explains a lot about the stanley struggle in law school magic
that little cutie used his polish dance in an episode of community.
It’s so fun to see David keep up with these comedy and improv geniuses
6:05 Just slightly.
Me: *thinks scrooge is 150 years old*
152, to be precise.
(I wonder if they realize David pronounces the word "process" pretty much in the way they are mocking it.)
I am pretty sure that's why they are doing it...
I feel like Abed would be nerding out over meeting the Doctor
Love the Leroy Jenkins reference 😂
At 16:38, the host asks the questions about well known actors playing parts on DuckTales and I feel the need to elaborate. I think an interesting thing to address would be the original was produced in the late 80s when the internet/computer was in its infancy. In the present day of the Information Age, we can look up who is playing what part in less than a second where as in the 80s, it would require looking at the credits and publications on the show. Actors have become much more well-known because of this fact as we are now able to know more about them. So it’s no surprise that today, we can recognize these names as their names are online on databases (such as Wikipedia or IMDB) or videos/editorials on the show (such as this one).
this is truly the comedic trio no one knew they needed
that moment at the end... it's like *they* are the triplets, actually :D
27:35 finest moment
"Hold me closer, Polish dancer..."
Tennant's accent for this remake is 👌
28:50 David's laugh at Ben's joke omg hahahah
There are gifs of him laughing that same way. He's a living gif, tbh.
22:51 for the sweetest replay moment.
I just remembered Abeds Dr who dreamatorium! Lol
