Chris Rock seems like such a down to earth, friendly soul. It’s such a shame he got caught up in the whole Smith debacle. I hope his career continues to soar.

The wisdom! I enjoy Chris Rock's comedy but right now hearing his thoughts is just what I needed! From bullying, to honing your craft he really has a very healthy perspective. If he wrote about his M.O for living life I would read it

Will Smith really disgraced the entire black race by slapping him at the Oscars. A goat shouldn't be slapping another goat. And its 1000X worse, when its a black goat, slapping another black goat. That slap undermined the entire reason Will Smith was there. We weren't watching the Oscars, and rooting for Will because we loved the movie King Richard so much. Those were much better roles. We were watching the Oscars, rooting for Will, to celebrate 30 years of an extraordinary career unlike one we've ever seen. From a family-friendly rapper, to winning the first rap grammy, to becoming a sitcom star, to becoming a massive movie star. And being great at all of it. That's what we were celebrating. It wasn't about King Richard. Because honestly, he should've won for The Pursuit of Happyness, or Ali instead. But it wasn't his time yet. This was finally his time to get his flowers. And he flushed it all down the toilet.
And it would be one thing if he had slapped James Corden or Donald Trump, Jr., or just someone who truly deserves to get slapped. Then everyone would've loved it. But you slap Chris Rock? Everything Will accomplished to be able to stand on that Oscars stage, Chris Rock also did. Because not only is Chris the greatest stand-up in the world, he's also hosted the Oscars twice. He's earned his right to stand on that Oscars stage, and tell jokes.
The reason why it disgraced the entire black race, was because it didn't really affect either of them. Will Smith is still rich and famous, and Chris Rock got a $40 million deal from netflix to make a comedy special about it. But we as a black culture look to people like Will Smith, and Chris Rock as black excellence. What we should strive to become. And it doesn't have to be rapping, acting, or comedy. But just in general. We don't have many role models, like white people do.
