Urbex | Exploring the "Slave" Caves in Park City, Kentucky

Not much is known about the so called "Slave Caves" in Park City, Kentucky. They are located just inside the perimeter of Mammoth Cave National Park. Perhaps they were a destination of safety and shelfter for fleeing slaves on the Underground Railroad. Maybe they were discovered by a local enslaved person. If anyone knows more about the history of the caves, please leave a comment.
One of the caves, the larger one, is blocked off and cant be entered. I was a bit disappointed to see this, but I imagine the cave is extensive, and potentially dangerous. The smaller cave has stairs carved into the rock, leading down into a very small chamber. There is an tiny opening in the back that could possible lead to more cave.
