100% - I got rid of a 9R and replaced with the Ripper and have not looked back. It's not the solution for everyone, but I've certainly found it to be more than capable of handling the majority of stuff I want to get on, but also have that playful element too.
@@MatthewBrookKayaking OK interesting, kinda 95% in playboats these days, probably just rent if I go to any creeky locations, Ripper seems ideal Cheers mate, much appreciated
Amazing, I'll be giving the popout a try this year for sure.....thanks
Fabulous. Glad to hear it. Thanks for the encouragement!
Great video and loved those pop outs. Reminded me of 1987! Take care.
Haha! That was entirely the aim, I think! Thank you. Likewise!
Popouts are underrated. Also a great way to initiate a cartwheel in a halfslice
Very true. The simple moves are often the most satisfying!
Great video! Can you practice this with a short freestyle kayak without falling on your face or going for a front loop?
Thanks Aarni. Yes, you definitely can, but it takes the right kind of hole. You want to look for a less vertical hole that isn't too powerful.
How have you been finding the Ripper? I'm getting rid of my creeker as I never use it, wondering if a Ripper is the solution to keep me rive running?

@@williambrazil3760 no worries. Any boat is a playboat with the right attitude!
Is that woodmill
It is indeed. A classic concrete ditch!
My local spot I will see you down the some time 👍
@@markmoon9024 sadly not, as I'm no longer living in Southampton. But hopefully I'll see you on the river sometime!
