This VW Oil Pump Suck's

To Help New subscribers I have to start this video with a brief backstory. The last time I had this engine in my car the oil light would not go off at start up. (eventually it did)
This Covid lockdown has forced me to tackle some overdue VW maint on my engines. I'm sharing what I learn and explaining my solutions. I'm sharing contributions from viewer comments that I think are helpful. Thanks to everyone in the VW community. I wonder how many engine builders are going to be trying to remember how there oil pump fit in there last engine build. Mind you that this engine was built over 20+ years ago. It ran awesome. The insides look great because after that oil pump incident I took it out of service to check it out. It too has been waiting patiently in the back of my garage. When you have problems ignoring them is not going make them go away. It's a lot of work to go inside but it's worth it. IMHO The problem was staring me in the face as I took it apart but I didn't notice it until the next day...... I hope you enjoy and learn just as a learn new things all the time. It's the attention to details that make the difference.....
