Great effort! 👏
Thank you 😃
@@BartonSnooker I did my own video but decided two zeros wasn't going to get many views 🤷♂
Yeah, even though his pockets are marginally bigger, this was a supreme effort.
@@castleanthrax1833 cheers!
@@castleanthrax1833 Stop looking at his trousers
I've been waiting for your attempt and definitely wasn't disappointed, for that to be your first was amazing.
I was over the moon with my 73 but that took me much longer to get. Thanks for all the great content this year and I look forward to more of the same next year 😊
you should get featured
100% agree
No he shouldn't
Great break! It's interesting that with the cue control that you have, you could conceivably plan the whole table and solve all of the tough reds before you even started.
I love that Hendry has come to YT, he is such a legend and has so much access to players, I really think he is changing the face of snooker for the better and good on you for coming to the party :)
It's criminal that ur not on the Snooker circuit, it really is. Great effort, brilliant commentary as well by being vocal about where ur striking on the white ball.
Not a bad rest player either 👌
Very impressed.
As if Stephen Hendry has commented and approved of the attempt though!!
No matter what score you did. You are still an excellent teacher👍
Merry Christmas Steve, I'm new to the channel and new to playing snooker, highest break is only 22 but found your content is already helping my game. Props for doing Hendry's challenge - great attempt!
OK here goes…
FIRST ATTEMPT - 0 (room for improvement)
SECOND ATTEMPT - 1 (improvement, albeit slight)
Well done Steve you made that look easy👏👏👏have a great christmas and a healthy and prosperous new year to you and all the family M🎱
Cheers Barry. Same to you! Hope you have a lovely Christmas and a fantastic New Year 🙂
I m happy you also took part in tough table challenge.
Great break…… didn’t think you were going to miss and talking through the shots was different class…
Well done….. I would like Stephen to invite some of you guys onto his channel and play a couple of frame…. YOU would be one..👍
only a gentleman would remember the audience that this pockets are wider than professional table !!!
Nice humility in mentioning your pocket size compared to pro table. Very nice break mate.
You’re correct. The pockets are easier here, but the balls don’t knock themselves in. Good effort
Thanks Steve, have a wonderful Christmas and New Year mate
Well Done Steve! My heart was racing watching you, anticipating you would better Stephen's record. Thank You so much for your wonderful and beneficial videos.
Wishing you a Happy Christmas and a more prosperous New Year 2023 to come 😍👍
Great effort Steve. Looking forward to our session in February. Best wishes for 2023 and have a Happy Christmas 🎄
Last two red : “so i left this two horrible red” 😂
Nice one Steve for admitting you're playing on wider pockets.🥳 Well done.
Great Break and great content as usual! Merry Christmas to my favourite online snooker coach. And looking forward to your two frames against Hendry in 2023 as this is definitely happening 😁
80s not bad. Need to give this a go myself 😁. Merry Christmas, Steve. All the best for 2023, and hopefully, I will see you again soon.
Absolutely beautifully said in the end there.
Also, beautiful break there. Cheers.
Happy Christmas Steve, thank you for all of your wonderful content.
Not easy by any chalk so a Big Well Done and Thankyou. Happy Christmas Steve and Thank you for your Videos and Support throughout 🙂
You're like the Bob Ross of snooker, talking through shots like they are nothing when they are very difficult 😂.
Haha! Cheers 😀👌
Wish you were closer mate! I've been playing snooker many years. I used to make 40-50-60, the odd 70 & 80 quite regularly when I was younger. My highest is 96 missing an easy pink to make my first ever century!
🙃😲😔
Anyway, after having kids and a 15yr break away from the game I have joined my local league again and am enjoying the game more than ever. I used to make those breaks on pure potting ability and I had a little bit of cueball control, what I've never been great at is shot choice and how to break build the correct way. I am back potting pretty well when I'm cueing nicely but still struggle with shot choice....as I said I wish you were closer because I honestly believe that once taught shot choice and a few lessons on cue ball control (side shots mainly) that ide be back knocking in regular 50's 60's and on.
My goal is to knock in my first century and get my name on the century plack where I play. If I only ever do one tonne I would be okay with that!😉
Almost all of the people I see travel to see me so that I can show them the correct ways to break build.
People for Brazil, Germany, Israel, Spain, Italy etc.
I'd love to help. With the extra knowledge you'd be making breaks way more consistently 👍
Great effort ,pleasure to watch you, as ever
Thank you teacher I need the next clip you made a dot red or black on the white for how to shot action
Very admirable attempt Steve. Have a great Christmas!
I seem to remember you made a video on safety shots, quite some time ago. I can't find that one now, but maybe you can expand a little on shot selections, safety-wise? When I watch the pros on TV I apparently have a different view, because I often find myself surprised by what ball they chose, when they have a few to choose from.
Good job. I enjoyed that!
You are rewarded with a thumbs up.
Cheers.
my dad did 47 on the 5th attempt, i did 16 on the 8th attempt, Happy New Years Steve
Awesome! Happy New Year 😃
Great attempt there Steve, you made it look easy. Nice to see you have a go on one of my fav snooker channels.
I was hoping for a christmas video and it happend, even about my request to do Hendry's tough table challenge.
Thanks and happy holidays Steve.
Cheers Franky! Merry Christmas ☃️🙂
Brilliant. Ive just started on a full size table and still unsuccessful in taking all colours off spots. Furthest i have got is missing pink. Improving steadily though. I recon id be happy with a 9 break on that set up. Lol. Thanks for sharing really enjoyed watching and listening to you as you went along 👍
Cheers, thanks. Well done on your journey so far. It's a great game and clearing the colours feels amazing when you first achieve it. Keep going and you'll do it very soon 👍😀
@@BartonSnooker thank you. I will.
Happy Christmas!
Great effort!
So close to Stephen's score! Great job, thanks for all the videos, have a great Christmas!
Merry Christmas and very nice attempt!
What a sterling effort that was. Totally solid potting and positional play, unlucky to not sink that blue.
Excellent effort there! Lots of clean pots and spot on positionally.
I would have a crack at this but almost 2 years without a cue in my hand is just too long.
Can see a lot of players going for doubles on the cushion reds.
Thanks a lot. You need to get back to playing. You're a great player 🙂
Hi, absolutely love the channel, I would just like to ask: were you ever on the tour? You certainly seem to have the necessary capabilities.
Well done Sir ! Loved every single pot and the thought process involved ❤
Great effort great composure
Stellar effort.... Well done and very impressive ❤️👍
Nice break, you made it look easier than it was. I think I would of struggled to get even one of those reds tight to the cushion.
Steve, thank you for letting us know about what's new. Do not look at negative comments because they are people who have no life and are jealous of the success of others. You mentioned that your Table is not as tight as the professionals, but that's how jealous people are. 🤷🏻♂️ Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas. Thanks so much for the support 😃👍
What a great break! I'm more than happy when I occasionally manage over 70 on a very basic line-up. Gonna attempt this but I'll be over the moon with 20+ from that situation!
Unlike Break From Life, you really put the reds close to the cushion, so it’s really difficult just like Stephen. That’s impressive! I’ve seen quite a few now where the reds are NOT tight to the cushion at all
Bravo sir! Very respectable effort! I guess it's harder when Stephen Hendry is talking to you.
Very good break👍👍👍♥️♥️
Excellent video
Very good break, i gonna try this one myself, but gonna need a few attempts to make a 50+, well done ;-)
do you have a video on how to hold the cue with your right hand and the technique of opening and closing the hand when hitting the cue ball?
Wow great sir...
Had that blue gone in it was the highest break for this challenge...
Stephen has it at 82 ...
Superb as always Mr Barton, think I’ll give this a go when I get back to playing in the new year. Got a feeling my PB will be a solid 1 for a while 😂😂
Very impressive
Nice one Steve: I watched some of the Hendry people having a go and your score is way up there. Thanks for your vids and for our 4hr session just over a year ago now. Happy Christmas.
It’s honestly a bit confusing seeing legit professionals get 30, 40 etc and yet all of the UA-cam guys I’ve seen so far have all got 70 and up. Not sure if the pros were simply not trying, or maybe their tables really do make that much difference, or… idk. Bit weird though!
@@toziassmitt youtubers do more takes no matter what they say.
@@toziassmitt the pros also had Hendry interviewing them during the break, probably enough of a distraction
@@DavidStuboy wrong, they didn’t. Go watch the tough table videos, he doesn’t interview them or ask questions at all. He does that during the earlier bit, where they talk and play some snooker. During the tough table challenge there’s no questions
try it on a bce westbury and you got tears in your eyes.
King Hendry we learn a lot from you. Love you legend ♥️
Great attempt!! Stephen Hendry I think has the highest score, but he didn't have anyone talking to him! Ronnie was in the zone when he tried it, but Stephen broke his concentration.
Well done mate!
Cheers!
Nice one! But yes the pockets in this video are much closer to the Seniors match tables
Great to watch, very impressed, wish you could give Ronnie another frame you are much better than you showed him last time
break of 80 is a good effort, that was not easy when the reds off the cushions, Have a good Christmas,
You done better than Mark Williams and Judd Trump did with two attempts with one attempt !!
Had that blue dropped you'd have been in the lead by 4 points above Stephen Hendry so I'd say you have done an amazing job of it tbh !!!
I'd struggle to make 16 with 2 attempts !!
And that's being ambitious 😂😂😂
Cracking effort. I will try it at my club, i may get 10 at best lol
😂 The pockets on your table are massive compared to current WST Star tables which Stephen and other pro’s attempted this on.
You did see the end of the video, right?
@@BartonSnooker Yeah, I made that comment during the video, but well done 👍🏻
Very good attempt at a very tough setup !
Please help in a situation Sir. I get snookered behind the Black Ball and also the cue ball is touching the Black Ball. I need to play the Red Ball but I missed it. Now the foul is of 4 points or 7 ???
Really proud of you Steve you actually did better than trump and Williams. Very tough table for sure. I’m surprised Ronnie hasn’t tried it yet. We all know he likes these type of situations but I guess unless it’s in a match he doesn’t get much excitement out of it.
Seeing the title tough table, I thought you meant those rough felt surface of club table.
2 behind stephen hendry,good effort.
Great effort Steve.. Very impressive.. Be lucky if I got 30..
hi, Steve! any tips on keeping my stance consistent on all shots? because for certain angled pots, or on certain parts of the table I felt really awkward, while some others were fine, any ideas? thank you
How is your table compared to the Chinese tables they were playing on?
Great scoring on difficult table. Any table...
My snooker ambition was always to make a 50 break, but I have a terrible cue action and I think I might be a bit too old to change it. I've made a few 40 plus breaks but my highest ever is 46, and unfortunately that looks like being it for me. Still love playing though, and I've recently started playing again having not played for about ten years.
You can definitely make a 50! Follow the tips, don't try too hard, and let it naturally happen.
@@BartonSnooker Thanks Steve, I'll keep trying, been back at it for about 6 months, made a 39 the other day and then missed a sitter. So annoying.
very impressive, i wouldn't get a break of 16
Make it look so easy
It's nice having the camera angles but I think I would prefer an uncut wide angle shot for something like this. So easy to fake. Perhaps even split screen the other angles in with the wide continuously running in the background.
I'm happy to upload the uncut version if you'd like to see it 👍
Also, see this video here:
ua-cam.com/video/RVQ9hkB6UDg/v-deo.html
I play to a very high level and don't need to fake any footage 👍
Can't wait
I have been playing for months now, I still keep on missing to pot. Can’t get the angles correctly. I also keep on missing the straight pot. Please help me to correct all the mistake. I can’t afford good cue stick. My cue stick cost is $20. What is the issue sir??
Impressive
Good stuff mate 👍
Great attempt 👏
Class
Fantastic
No really. What attempt number was this? Just like Stephen’s effort, we’ll never really know 🤷🏻♂️
Nice break Steve ,ok your pockets may be bigger than a pro cut pocket ,but the pro’s have to play on Star tables most of the time which are the lousiest cheap quality tables made .A lot of people that watch snooker think Star are good because their used on tv ,it’s not the case ,Star put the best offer in for their tables to be used ,but they are terrible ,cheap wood and soft slate . Your table is much better .Merry Christmas .
Thanks a lot Mike. Merry Christmas 😃
Really impressive. You made that 80 look so easy😮👍👍
Thanks Iain 👍
Nice attempt that 👏🏻
Fabulous!!!
The plant you made in this video, is there any chance you could do a video on that subject? thank you if possible
Here you go:
ua-cam.com/video/uEFyrt5GnOU/v-deo.html
@BartonSnooker brilliant. Thank you very much merry Christmas 🎄
great to see every one on you tube getting high scores on this on their first try and yet the professionals struggle. Not at all suspicious, hey at least it wasnt 6-7 camera angle changes between every shot where you could have replaced a missed shot.
I can upload just the overhead camera if you want. That shows the raw footage of the break.
Just like guitar players, or piano players, there are really good players in the world that don't do it professionally.
I also point out my table is easier to score on, as my pockets are a bit bigger.
No tricks on this channel. Just help and advice with genuine videos 👍
@@BartonSnooker i like being cynical, dont ruin it for me.
@@shambleslongplay3566 hehe
Good stuff shooter. Canada.❤🥰😎
Very good 👍
What matters is doing it in front of Stephen.
What did Breakfromlife get? Wasn't it 82? I'd have been tempted to sink the brown there to get the highest score
I think he did, yeah. Good break that.
I was just trying to clear the table. That's what Hendry would tell me to do anyway 😆
@@BartonSnooker Yes fair play John, you potted some brave shots there. I think you should come back for a second attempt
Look at his table set up. His reds were way further from the cushion than they should’ve been. I like break from life, but that really was not a great set up compared to Hendry or this one. Go back and look, his reds are a good 6 inches from cushion, and it makes a big difference on how well he has to play positionally
Why arent you in circuit?
As always sir ❤
Well done 🎉🎉🙏🙏
