I remember a few years back when snooker players were all complaining and moaning about being tired, overplayed, etc. And Murphy absolutely slated the lot of them. He said something along the lines of "they are pathetic, practice playing snooker for few hours a day, flying round the world first class, stopping in 5 star hotels and being waited on hand foot! Tired! How dare they, when the majority of people work 40-50 hour plus weeks! They don't know the meaning of tired, its insulting to fans!" Ever since he's been my favourite. 👍

Here goes my first every youtube comment! I was a 100 breaker in my misspent youth and although rarely play now (largely due to the lack of clubs near me) this channel has given me the urge to pick up my cue more often. Unless I've missed it though I struggle with the concept of a potting point. I would appreciate some more detail on that. It's difficult for me to focus on a point on the target ball as it's spherical and shiny especially as you move around the table. Even then, if you have a quarter ball pot the line of the cue itself will miss the target ball, with the contact point of the cue ball being on a point of the cue ball that's behind the ball and offset as you are seeing the 2D version of the cue ball go away from you (I appreciate I might not have articulated that very clearly). For me potting has always been about the angle of the pot and therefore how much of the object ball you need to slice away to achieve that, a ghost ball approach I suppose.
