Haha, I played Louis in my 5th grade production of Bugsy Malone. Even though I wasn’t around to see the film when it was released, this whole score still has a special place in my heart
Just recently watched the "Bugsy Malone -Where are they now?" Documentary on UA-cam, the bit where you, Knuckles, Snake eyes and Angelo recreate "Bad Guys" is absolutely brilliant!
@@rajnirvan3336yeah, If this gets a remake I will be angry. Mostly since half the time remakes are terrible. For example. The new mean girls! Like what the hell?
Few films are so perfect! Leave it to be perfect. I really didn't like the aesthetic of Spielberg's West Side, with REAL violence in between songs? The 1961 film is so fantastically unreal, I love it.
Wow, I first saw this on tv when I was a little kid in the early 80's. One of my favorite childhood movie memories. Why the hell isn't this out on DVD in the US???
Little fact for you guys and girls... The boy crying the cases at 1:24 was suppose to be doing the dance routine as well, however couldn't dance to save his life... so the director gave him that job.
Played this song before every little league hockey game. We all sang it. Had our own dance. Nobody never stepped on our crest. Tapped our sticks. Kicked ass on the ice. Won trophies. I miss the days with the boys.
I first watched this when my primary school teacher put this up when I was in year 6. We had a school performance based on this movie. I'm now 20 and still always come back to this. Brings back childhood memories. This is one of my favourite movies. The Nostalgia is unreal :)

Argh. I loved this so much as a kid. There was a school literally next door to my school and they got to perform musicals all the time. It was a struggle to get my school to do anything. Ever. I so wanted a transfer when they did this musical. Sigh.
That guy who played Louis is Jeff Stevenson. He has his own channel on this platform and also by trade is a comedian and presented a gameshow in early 90s called Jumble. He also appeared occasionally on Punchlines or Celebrity Squares
I love this scene. The short one is adorable. Especially at 1:53. (giggle!!) Love that move with their knees at 2:00. They look cute. (laugh my ass off!!) at 1:48 to 1:58.
What makes all of this even funnier is that you're talking about how adorable this is, when this is pretty much immediately before they're all gunned down in cold blood. XD
I dont know why? But i woke up this morning right now, and got this song on my head. Great song, great movie. Thanks for upload, even its some time ago. Since u uploaded.

I wonder how many people get the relevance of the carpet? It refers back to a scene from Godfather II where young Vito Corleone & Clemenza (Robert De Niro & Bruno Kirby) steal a carpet out of a rich townhouse that they break into).
+holzapfelstein are you sure? cos i watched a documentary about bugsy malone where they interviewed the cast as adults and the actor who carries the carpet said it was because he couldn't do the dance properly.
+Drusby Yes, I saw that too. But then you have to ask why give the kid who can't dance a carpet to carry? I mean, why a carpet of all things as opposed to say just a suitcase, or a violin case or a broom? Why on earth would a mobster be carrying a carpet? The answer is obviously because someone must have remembered the scene from Godfather II where the young mobsters are walking through town with a carpet that they just stole from a house.
God I watch that move over 50 times with my kid now watching it with my grand children loved it than loved moor now thank you to all made such great movie..

I heard they make you carry it because you could dance is that true?
Even with its recent BluRay release, "Bugsy Malone" remains criminally underrated.
Made hollyweird peados feel self concious
For my year 6 leaving performance, they managed to convince the most naughty boys in my year group to perform this.
i have to do this for my year 6 performance too! how did yours go

If you don't dance along and sing "woirst" you're doing this classic an injustice.
If you were a kid in 1976, then this will bring back memories for you.
I was that kid. Saw the film in a London cinema
unfortunately I wasn't born then
There’s a bugsy Malone school play coming up soon in my school so I can’t wait to see this scene.
