The Duke was the previus Arisen, when you confront the Dragon he give you two choices, one, fight whit him, the second, to give up the one you cherris the most, te Duke renunce his life love and he gain his dukedom, once you kill the dragon all the stolen hearts from the previus Arisen that make the pact with him returned, that is why the Duke aged so fast, that is his true age.
Hey uno, from what i remember, the duke was previously an arisen. He is pretty much what you would be if you chose not to fight the dragon. And when you killed the dragon, his heart and age returned back to him.
Also just noticed, another comment already explained it better than I did, sorry.
9:50 my DD knowledge is a bit rusty but iirc Grigori kidnaps whoever it is you are closest to.
I did almost no quests with people. I did a good amount of side stuff but none of the escort quests. I did do 2 for the Princess girl
Ok so tldr, the dragon takes many hearts, and all arisen that are still living are ones that don't take the dragons fight and instead walk away for a life as the dragon suggests.
Now that you killed the dragon, all their humanity has come back to every arisen that has chosen not to fight the dragon, and age caught up to the Duke who did not choose to fight the dragon like you did. He got angry like a little baby man cuz you took his immortality.
There is a secret love mechanic and the dragon kidnaps the one closest to you. Also are you doing the dlc bitter black isle?
On my own time maybe but Dragon's Dogma 2 is literally coming out in a few days and I doubt I'll finish it
The dragon dood will kidnap whoever you were closest to. The whole love thing is decided on how often you spoke to them, did their quests, gifted, or even shopped from if I recall correctly. Quests giving a huge boost.
Maaaan, I literally saw her twice lol.
@Uno_Hunter but you did every quest involving her. That greatly increases your affinity with her.
@@Uno_Hunter better than what i always get. Masterwork dude. EVERY TIME
@@nukenade4623 My first run I got a random fisherman from the first village and just went " Who teh fuck is this guy!?" XD
@@Sonicring123Dubs for real, it gives you the most random people sometimes
the final battle is just the halfway point of the game, I hope you continue some more :D
Gonna be tough to finish the game if that's the case. Dragon's Dogma 2 literally comes out in a few days lol
@@Uno_Hunter I think you can manage to complete just before DD2, but not the DLC.
I highly recommend going through as many of the everfall chambers as you can. The Chamber of Lament is Particularly special(recommend doing it in offline mode tho).
I tried it and ran out of it lol
@@Uno_Hunter ahh. The Ur-dragon's gimmick is that he has multiple hearts: every foot and leg(i think), face, throat, tail, chest, back, pelvis, shoulders, and wing tips.
It's kinda like the World/Iceborne siege fights, where you fight it over multiple attempts. Though I initially recommended it to you for the holy daggers, It's probably better to give your pawn the Holy boon/Holy affinity spell.
Like and subscribe for such funny gameplay and the Star Fox 64 James references ahahaha, amazing 😂.
"Abandon what you hold most dear"
"My daggers?" Lmao 😂
Outside of Mercedes "who left" I didn't really care or any of them lol. I guess the lady at my village?
I just finish the game the other day- and yeahh it's been amazing journey!!
it's same, i thought we done with just kill Grigori but nope- the real stuff actually after that hahaha/
I'm looking forward for you to continue ~
still the best old english western fantasy action game, even over dark souls. sucks that all the current best western fantasy is actually from the east lol
The king was never possessed he had ptsd from killing his love an taking the dragon's deal so he was crazy kinda
Grigori: "Offer up that which you hold most dear"
Uno Hunter: "MY DAGGERS!?"
11:28 when Grigory say to offer what you hold most dear and he said MY DAGGERS??? Man I can't relate more lmao, that was me with my enchanted weapons as Mystic Knight 😂
2:05 you remember, i see.
5:44-5:49 meet the Gorechimaera: a stronger variant of the Chimaera that can *heal itself,* and cast a spell that can *instantly kill you.*
forget the snake head, go for the goat, and you'll have an easier time.
6:14 oh yeah, the goat head's bleating can put you to sleep.
6:59-7:19 yep. as i said, it can *heal itself.*
8:29 ok, so some monster roars damage you. good to know :)
8:36 i didn't know the snake head could regenerate!
there was supposed to be dialouge on the bridge section.
22:37 it came out in 2012; a year after Skyrim.
22:49-22:53 don't be. playing it now means more hype for DD2 - and we're not far away from its release (i'll wait until my birthday, in May).
29:09 correct. even the roar animation is from Kushala Daora and Teostra. and the flying animation is Fatalis' pre-Iceborne flying animation.
you're playing a Capcom game, mate. it makes more sense than you realize.
33:33-33:44 yes. the Dragon even eluded to that before the battle.
the Duke's an Arisen like you; and like you, he was forced to choose: save the thing he held dearly, or offer it up so the Dragon can leave the land in peace.
needless to say, he chose the latter - and *might* explain why he tried to kill the princess.
the Dragonforged was an Arisen, too - and chose the same thing as the Duke. he lived for so long, that were he human, he'd be naught but dust.
if the Dragon dies, any surviving Arisen would gain their heart back, not just the one who slew it. hence why the Dragonforged turned to dust, and the Duke grew old.
I knew the dragonforged was an arisen, but I didn't know one dragon let alone the same dragon could have multiple hearts.
@@Uno_Hunter can't wait for you to meet the *other* one.
@jacktheomnithere2127 It isn't stated that the Dragonforge did the same as the Duke. As a matter of fact, many ppl in the community believe he simply lost the fight but survived. Breaking his weapon in the process and having his arms burned.
@@crono6874 didn't think it was possible.
There is a really good moment in ng+. I remember playing it ages ago but had to turn off online mode on ng+ because the game saves so slow.
19:16 that was such a monster hunter animation, I can't unsee the kushala daora
Time for bitterblack isle ;)
I really would have liked a demo for this game. I’m actually on the fence. On one hand, could be a game that brings me back to my ps5. Or I could water 70 bc it doesn’t quite fit me.
just buy it, the game often went on sale for $5, it's practically a chump change
@@mbekmbek7214 my bad I was in the UA-cam zone, I meant 2. I was fresh from a UA-cam video on 2 🤦🏽♂️
The thing with this game is, they often hid information behind random NPCs, like early on you can get foreshadowing on the salvation guy and the hydra from people of Cassardis. If you just go from one quest marker to another, the story become almost complete nonsense.
Grigori's dialog in the final fight is just a whole other level. Just nonstop "come at me bro" along with reminding you over and over this is a primordial and symbolic struggle that's been happening for eons.
He did not expect the game to go this hard after beating Grigori XD
I'm so lost. What is even happening? XD
Loved your reaction to seeing Selene at the dragon fight. I had the same reaction seeing the innkeeper from Gran Soren. Didn't want to make out with him either.
The Innkeeper? That can happen? Lmao
The dragon kinda explains what happens
Love the starfox bit, so funny!
Girgori "offer up what is most dear."
Uno: "My daggers?"
Just saying, they were pretty expensive and look cool
