Nobody in USAF or Air National Guard wants F-15EX. F-15EX is a non-starter, politically-mandated, budget-sucker that has little relevance in the future. USAF never asked for F-15EX, but was told by SECDEF Shanahan and Boeing shill Adam Smith HASC Chairman they were getting it. Governors and Congressmen are fighting to keep their ANG bases from getting F-15EX. They all want F-35As.

I worked with the F 15 and its engines and intantaneous turn rates and even its speed from public access sources is, well "conservative", but not as conservative as listed for the F 22. The F 16 benifits from the the same engines, and usaully has the EEP versions, moreso than the F 15. However, the Raptor has a wider range of kinematic, avionic, and even its all aspect stealth is considerably better than puplic access sources to a larger degree than the F 18/16 or 15 true capabilities are. It's true nose pointing capabilty is classified, but its way better than the 34+ deg in DCS, hint hint. Forget the two circle F 16 versus F 22, the Viper would stand no chance. Its stealth is better than the data points DCS is using. Even from WVR, radar guided stuff is still challenged. The synergistic all aspect stealth, supercruize, super manueverability, battle field air to air networking make a higher synergy than for 4th or the 4.5 gen fighters. Even its publically listed supercruize speed is "conservative" . Mach 1.5 even several sources listing 1.8 is well, its true at lower altidudes. I'll leave it at that. Bottom line is the Raptor is purposely underated moreso than any other fighter. As a former Air Force officer, I also worked with the SR 71, I will just blatantly say its true service ceiling is way north of 100 k feet, without saying what it is. Depends on Latidude as well. Its top speed is still classified, but its alot more than the 3.5 or 3.58 that even the SR pilots have "alluded to". It has another operating range as a near pure ramjet not talked about well above what any afterburning turbo jet can do, including its own J 58s. If they really only had flown mach 3.5 and a measily 85 -86 k feet, some would have been shot down. None were, but they were fired on, alot.

imagine you're a pilot and just got assigned to an f35 and you're just called to defend the base. your first actual mission and you get taken care of as soon as you take off.

So about 20 years ago, somewhere over the Nevada desert, test pilots did this exact thing pitting F-15s and F-16s against F-22s. The squadron rotated pilots so that everybody got to fly each plane a few times. The F-22s never got shot down because the F-16s and F-15s could never find them. The only complaints on the F-22 side were mechanical issues (the F-22 was still relatively new) and that there simply weren't enough missiles as the other pilots could jam, flare, or chaff out of locks from time to time.
I'm not surprised by the (DCS, at least) capability of the F-22, but I was a little shocked there wasn't even a blip over the "red guy" airfield when you opened the weapons bay. It wouldn't have been long enough for a lock, but not even a chirp....
Keep in mind that even in the open position the bay doors have sawtoothing, RAM, and a whole bunch of other design features to minimise RCS as much as possible, and from a frontal/side-on aspect it's quite conceivable that the messy bay innards are simply obscured by the stealthy body of the aircraft
