Oh my gosh, Baylee. It looks so much better. I like that her ears don't stick out as much and even her eyes look softer. Much improved.
I didn’t notice the issue with the last camera’s audio but this one sounds even clearer than the last, it sounds even better!
I love your pink hair, but when you have it up in a bun and all the brown are showing, with tiny hints of pink is a beautiful combo! 😊

The biggest difference that immediately pops out to me between the drawing and the sculpture is the "bangs" area. The sculpture has absolutely no hair on the forehead, whereas on the drawing they do come onto the face a little like "curtains" near the hairline. I have a feeling adding that extra bit of hair would make a huge difference in the sculpture looking more similar since it affects how big the forehead looks, how the eyes appear to be positioned, facial expression, etc. Hope that helps!
You're right, that needs fixing! Initially I was trying to push her hair back because with her big eyes, the forehead felt too small. But now with the smaller eyes, there is more room.
Baby hairs would be so cute in the sculpture. Like the swirled styled ones
isopropyl alcohol helps with smoothing and removal of fingerprints on the clay

Baylee your art work shows the hair draped more on the forehead, the sculpture the hair is swept back farther on the sides making the forehead appearing longer from the hair part to the upper bridge of the nose. Having eye brows will add to the facial character of the the sculpture.
Yeah, I should tweak the hair. Her forehead looked too short with the big eyes, so I pushed the hair back. But now with her smaller eyes, I can bring it forward. For brows I was planning on just painting them on.
The sculpture is looking great so far! The changes you made definitely look more like your drawing style translated to 3D. I also really liked the timelapse music👌

I work at DQ and I’m actually surprised you like the Oreo Mocha Fudge, no one at my location likes it LOL. But good news! Even though it’s a blizzard of the month, we carry the ingredients for that blizzard all year round so even if it’s off the menu you should still be able to order it!

DQ represent!! Lol! I worked at a DQ forever, it might be different a bit at different locations, but you should be able to order your blizzard year round. Maybe not on a delivery app but for sure in person. “I would like an Oreo blizzard, add chocolate chunks and coffee.” Should be all you need to say besides the size lol

I make small dolls and I always use "people" lashes from the pound shop (dollar store equivalent). I just find the shortest ones i can and just use the inner corner part where the lashes are shortest.

@BayleeJae My parents owned a Ceramic and porcelain doll shop when I was younger and they always used the fake eyelashes made for human on the Porcelain dolls so they should work fine on the clay piece you are making. I do like the ears better the way you have fixed them.

The only thing that would bug me is when you zoomed in, you could hear it. Other than that, it sounds and looks really good!!

Yes, it seems like the Cos Clay is causing the lines to smudge off. I'm not sure if the other clays will have the same effect.
I think that's fairly typical. I have a generic cutting mat on my desk and it has worn spots where I lean on it.
Might be a reaction with the clay causing that to happen!

huh... I think my last-minute decision of making a calendar for my mum with 12 paintings/drawings done by me is my most ambitious project this year xD just doesn't compare to filling 1000 advent calendars xD

Baylee, there was a noise I think when you zoomed up on Kiki and Midna...........
That's the sound of gears turning for the zoom. With my previous camera (M50), I had to twist the lens manually, so it was quieter. My vlogging camera before that, the G7X, had a similar noise when zooming since it was mechanical like this new camera. It also means I can't do a dramatic quick zoom, which is the one thing I'll miss, haha.

I get that blizzard all the time. They use their coffee syrup. Its soooo yummy! You can basically make ANYTHING with their blizzards. Some firefighters as a joke on a noobie, got them to chop up a burger into his.... yup... initiation to the crew.
Catherine's studio always makes me feel like my studio is a dumpster too. 🤣 I feel like we are at a disadvantage though because we have our studio spaces in our house. There's only so much you can do in rooms in your house. 🤣 My studio already takes up three rooms in our house and functionality always comes before how pretty it looks unfortunately lol.

Sculpture:I feel like you can actually still thin/narrow the nosebridge of her a little more. Then it'd fit the style more (which you are now even more going for) and it would make it a little more delicate. Looks a little out of place now

I actually like it- I think it works since the character is dark skinned, and their noses typically look like that!

Doll artists usually use regular lashes that come in little clumps that you place one by one and trim them down to size

If you're looking to match the sculpture to your drawing a little bit more I would suggest maybe taking a little more of the bulk down off the lips. The smile in your drawing is a little more subtle and delicate. I think blending the bottom lip and corner of the mouth a little more into the face may help. I would also agree with a few others who mentioned the hair on the forehead. Overall I think the sculpt looks great now, but these are just suggestions should you want it to look more like your sketch!

@@BayleeJae she is! As an a Asian American I love themes/subjects of her works but her process is also really interesting. Just seeing her working is inspiring for me. Obviously, her style is much different but the colors, gems, and overall portrait look for this piece reminded me a lot of her work!

Aaah! omg I wanted to try the mocha blizzard so bad, but you're right about it being dinner AND dessert because even a small is probably over 800 cals and that's two meals for me cuz i'm so short, why are all the good things so mean XD

@@jaredphillips9285 True. I know Baylee wasn't 100% happy with the sculpture last time, so I do feel that people were trying to help her, which is why I didn't take it on too much. Totally agree with you though.
I was a little disheartened at first since I was _mostly_ proud of it, but honestly it was for the best since I'm much happier with it now. Others help you see what you can't. Plus looking at it with fresh eyes the next day helped me see more flaws too. Most comments were nice about it, even the ones in my thumbnail. I cropped them, so they are shown without context.
@@BayleeJae Yes! This is something on working on with myself, not taking things as an insult, but as people really trying to help me because they have seen what I can do. And of course, it's not true clickbait, but I needed the *TEA*
i think it would be best if you sculpt the hair in bigger chunks than to try to give it a lot of "hair strands" or "hair texture", theres a lot sculping channels on youtube, whu dont you watch a couple of people who do more cartoony stuff for inspo? lovely4you makes really cute paper clay sculptures and i think her style of sculping hair would look cute on yours? (not saying to copy of course, just to reference haha)

the neck seems a little flat/pushed back imo, maybe add more clay on top so it doesn't look bobble headish from the bottom view ? otherwise, love what you've done with it, it resembles the artwork so well ! :)
You should do six items each to start with. Then someone packages them and the other boxes them for shipping. That way it becomes repetitive and you guys might be able to crank them out.

Its a mechanical zoom instead of a physical zoom. Fairly normal for this type of camera, unfortunately the noise is from the gears of the zoom. Oh well.
