Martin is pretty isolationist when it comes to his fans and thoughts on his work. He said so himself that he never goes on the blogs or anything. So its not very likely that George will take advice from anyone other than himself (and his editors/close friends). So, if Preston actually gets most of his theory's right on this channel, than he's a boss.
Naratuga T Yeah, to be exact, Martin did state that after he released the first book, he went online when the internet truly started to bloom and looked up some blogs on fans discussing his book. And for the majority, peoples' theories were wrong (Which in my opinion is the R+L=J theory, since it is the most popular). But there were still a select few who got it right, which is what really troubled Martin, wondering if he should change up his story a bit. He decided not to, and that is why he stays as far away as he can now from thorums and shit. So that no one sways his original plans.
Theory- Taena Merryweather is Littlefinger's agent in Kings Landing. He's very up to date with what Cersai is thinking, and her modus operandi (create tension between the Lannisters and Tyrell's) fits perfectly. Furthermore, according to the wiki House Merryweather has money troubles, as Aerys and Robert had confiscated much of their traditional land. Thoughts?

Regarding Littlefinger and Ned. Ned was pretty much a pawn for Littlefinger. I too think his deal was legit, at least for that moment. LF was going to use Ned as long as Ned proved useful. However as soon as Ned started talking about crowning Stannis, his usefulness ended, and Littlefinger disposed of him (which probably always was a part if the plan down the line due to Cat).
I think in the end, Ned's acceptance or refusal ends in the same place: the bribing of the gold cloaks and the transfer of Harrenhal. All things being equal, Littlefinger would allow Ned to live.
Preston Jacobs Also, LF wasn't the one who got Harrenhal, Tyrion gave it to him in CoK. Originally it went to Slynt (I am 90% sure, but definitely someone Tyrion sent to the wall for betraying Ned/consolidating power)

Your mention of feasts, tourneys, private enterprise, bribes, and gold cloaks brought this to the front of my mind as I was just re-reading AFfC, courtesy of good ol' Rennifer Longwaters and Jaime: Six prisoners, Jaime thought sourly, while we pay wages for twenty turnkeys, six undergaolers, a chief gaoler, a gaoler, and a King's Justice. Rennifer also mentions that certain of the dungeon reports go to the master of coin (in addition to the chief gaoler, King's Justice, and master of whisperers). Sounds like another large expense, not to mention another way to assert control over the Red Keep and another pie in which both Petyr and Varys have their fingers. Great video, can't wait for the next one.
Preston Jacobs I don't understand why people always underestimate Littlefinger. I bet most people didn't even understand when LF told Sansa some people thought they were players in the game of thrones, yet they were actually pawns, he was directly talking about Sansa without her knowing.
I agree. Folks must remember -- all of the Stark children have been learning lessons, and Sansa is no different. Sansa learned the most important lessons from Cersei herself: "A most powerful weapon a woman has is between her legs."

You were always good at presenting your case and making most out of the details, yet now you switched sides from presenting things as facts and disregarding flaws to a much more balanced view which takes everything into consideration without any unneccesary arrogance. Thanks. In the beginning, I was trying to be a little edgier and funnier and that can come off as douchie. I suppose in some ways it worked as those videos had a much higher viewerships. I was also looking at more big-picture issues. But in the end, what I love is the analysis and so do the core viewers. So, that's where the change is.
I think that Littlefinger's main drive is his wish to use, confuse and dominate everyone around him. I don't think he has a very long run master plan like Varys or the Martells, rather he thrives confusing everyone around him. And I don't think he is flawless in the execution of his plans; killing Lysa wasn't much of a calculated move, but about disposing of one of his chess pieces that went rogue.
MightyMagyarz exactly :) when considering his background it makes so much sense that he is always looking to be the one pulling the strings behind the shadows, switching sides when he sees fit and disposing of anyone he deems worthless. He has very strong weapons such as economy and deception and he uses them in order to be the one that plays everyone.
His pattern with Eddard and then the Tyrells was convincing on this point. He seems to broker deals with one side, and then turn around and do it for the other side. Nonetheless, all this shows is that he's doveish when it comes to outright war. This might suggest that he has plans that involve monetary policy that need a coherent government for at least a while longer.

First thing that came to my mind after watching this, what if Littlefinger is loyal to his lineage? And what if his Braavos roots have connections with the Iron Bank as well? That would make sense why he allowed King's Landing to accrue a vast amount of debt over time, and he's using Stannis as a means to fuck things up over that side. I bet he didn't expect Stannis to go North, but Tycho Nestoris followed Stannis up there anyway. It was likely from this decision that he believed the North is worth retaking knowing he has Sansa by his side. The Iron Bank of Baelish coalition would be a powerful entity. War of the Littlepenny Kings, I would say.
Honestly, I think the Crown's actual debt is half the size, but not on paper. With Littlefinger pulling the old investing failure, he can skim and skim and skim. Their is paperwork to back the money up, so it falls on the crown. But who did the paperwork? Littlefinger. Investing in non-existent businesses is even more money. Now borrow heavily from the two biggest lenders around, the Iron Bank and the Lannisters, on behalf of the crown, skim 50% spend the rest in shoddy, unproductive ways. Now you've weakened the Lannisters and forced them into a position of having to constantly prop up the Crown with money, armies, lavish weddings, etc. and you have a deception of strength they have to constantly show as well, which cost money too. This is one reason for the alignment with the Tyrells. Plus it is also an automatic buffer between them and Dorne. With the IB collecting monies all over, all the other houses will be begging for loans to prop them up, and after Stannis has worn down his mercenaries and volunteer forces against the Boltons, he can swoop in and save the day, with the house Stark already in his grasp. With the Lannisters already having Edmure Tully, the Riverlands in ruin and he being named Lord Paramour of the Trident and Harrenhal, he in name can collect some of the more desperate houses with a little gold, as he has done in the Vale. At this point, he can have an invasion by the IB's peoples up that river, having a war take place in which he can twist and turn and then to stop the war, an agreement is reached if they will name Littlefinger King and the Lannisters dismiss the Crowns debt. He can pay them a couple million back of their own money, which he stole and he is now King, who can use is abysmally small penis to shaft which ever wench he fancies. I don't think he was counting on White Walkers and Dragons though, and let us not forget their is an Assassin to be on the loose shortly.

The Andals came to Westeros through the Vale, specifically at the fingers. I wonder if we'll see another one of those corrisponding events with the same components just jumbled around. We already have a few similarities.
I'm making a prediction for the following videos: Littlefinger has Tyrek Lannister. Littlefinger blamed Tyrion for Bran's assassination attempt (though Tyrion figures out who actually did it), he orchestrated the Purple Wedding so Tyrion would take the blame though he lists multiples of motives besides that and yet Sansa still doesn't completely believe him (and Tyrion comes close to discovering he did it through Penny), and Tyrion blames Cersei for losing his nose to Mandon Moore but she never gives the reader a reason to think she did it despite her being a PoV character later on (and Mandon Moore is a Valeman, brought to King's Landing by Jon Arryn though he didn't particularly care for him, which means he was really brought by Lysa, which means he was really brought by Littlefinger -- it's no surprise that after Mandon Moore dies, he is replaced in the Kingsguard with Osmund Kettleblack, a Littlefinger spy, and Littlefinger himself now has Lothor Brune always at his side, a quiet knight from a minor house...like Mandon Moore). Tyrek disappears the Tyrion chapter immediately following the decision to send Littlefinger to treat with the Tyrells. Everyone suspects Varys, but Varys's schemes are all about mute peasant children and foreigners, the only heir he cares about is a Targaryen one. Littlefinger is the Lord Paramount of the Riverlands, he has Sansa Stark, Sweetrobin and Harold Hardyng, he's predicted the arrival of the "three queens," he's friends of the Tyrells, and he wants Tyrion dead for some reason...he must have a piece in every kingdom, and in the Westerlands, it's Tyrek.

It'd be particularly interesting if littlefinger was just a very clever opportunist. It would explain why no one could predict what he'd do - not even varys. It would also explain why his only allegiances are to his childhood love, and her daughter. I find it highly unlikely as he seems to be like varys - a master juggler - but unlike varys - solely out for personal gain.

I very much enjoyed this video. What I think I love the most about Littlefinger is that, even when someone like yourself manages to cleverly predict and reveal dozens of hidden moves that have yet to be played... we still are none the wiser as to what he actually is doing it all for! I would not like to play chess (or should that be cyvasse?) against him. The more pieces I took, the more convinced I would become that he was going to win! Not only that, you'd start to wonder why he invited you to play in the first place, and whether it was really winning the game that he wanted from you!

Littlefinger doesn't frustrate me as he seems to do other fans because I know what it's like to work with people with great intuition and can also play the game by ear. I know the audience prefers Varys because he's basically the guy with the PowerPoint presentation that shows you every detail of what he's been planning for decades but the truth is: men like Petyr Baelish will always have the advantage over people like Varys. Over the course of the story, I've only seen Varys thwart Petyr's plans once and it was a total accident of fate. Right now, the only wrench Varys has been able to place on Littlefinger is Tyrion's survival. As long as Tyrion lives, whatever plan involving Sansa Stark will simply crumble. What I'm looking forward to is the moment when Sansa realizes she can involve Tyrion in her schemes. That's simply going to be epic.
Also: I think the whole plan with Ned was to a) get him into Kings Landing and b) getting him arrested and c) killed off. It was Janos Slynt (bought by Littlefinger) who reacted to Jeoffreys outragious order (beheading a High Lord on the steps of the Sept of Baelor!) at once, as if he knew. Also remember what Littlefinger said about having to splash with the water so Jeoffrey so the king could see that he could drink it about angering Tyrion (manipulating Jeoffrey again). The whole "But they have the weak hearts of women" speech of Jeoffrey seemed to me as if he was lured into ordering Ned to be killed (him having all this "hard manliness like my father" thing going on). I don't think Littlefinger wanted to sponsor the Starks. And he played Ned- he told him, not to trust him and knew the honorable Lord Stark would to some extend because of "Family, Duty, Honor" and he knew that Ned would never set Renly on the throne (as long as Stannis lives) or accept a cuckoos egg Cersei put into Roberts (his best friends!) nest on the throne. I think Littlefinger was just stalling Ned so he could get killed (he did come up with the brothel that Jon and Stannis used to visit at a very inconvienent time for Ned- he was just about to leave for good after quitting the job as the hand- if he had done that, he would have been safe.
Could SweetRobin be Littlefinger's? Although I think he has falsely convinced everyone reading that he loves(d) Catlyn, that just seems to obscure his motives as every action he has taken has been hostile to her interests. The interest in this story is taht so many of the clues are sprinkled throughout the story. Maddening!

I think that rather than supporting one of the Westeros houses, he's supporting one overseas. Most likely a prominent family in Braavos (if not the Sealord himself). The debt gives Braavos a valid excuse for war and perhaps taking a part of Westeros for themselves. Littlefinger would undoubtebly be rewarded for his contributions. Probably with goverenance over a certain region. Plus don't forget that Braavos 'elects' their sealord and he is currently ill. He might be working his way up to that position instead, his Bravoosi roots give a chance at it.
I think there is definitely something going on with Braavosi politics that we haven't been privy to. But I also think Littlefinger is very invested in Westerosi history.

It's actually interesting to see what Littlefinger is planning, because I feel like he does have some sort of goal in the end, or else his actions are just random, but other times i think he's just opportunistic and playing everyone along the way.
Nice discussion video. I might not always agree but really appreciate the style in this modern age and everyone is free to speculate. This video has got me thinking that while I had the impression Littlefinger cared little for his Braavosi background given the way he eschewed his family's traditional emblem, The idea his agenda involves turning much of Westeros into a glorified Braavosi/Iron Bank Economic Vassal through making them financially indebted to the IB makes some sense if Littlefinger is a pro Burgeoise revolutionary of sorts. Eg he is highly capable but is looked down upon by the traditional high aristocracy and the road to respectability for the capable merchant class is blocked. Eg look at the Spicers having to marry into the poor but prestigious Westerlings as an example. Sure Littlefinger got Harrenhall but look at the disdain for Janos Slynt "the Butchers son!" and how no one kicked up a fuss when Tyrion got rid of him to the Wall, even the Tyrells have some legitimacy issues given they weren't the Royal House of the Reach when Aegon landed I'm beginning to suspect Seems to me that his (Littlefinger) character relates to the feudal/Burgeoise conflict , +spoiler+ similar to how the Cersei/High Sparrow represents the conflicts between the Kingdom nobiltiy and the religious or Ecclesiastical Class. This makes a lot of sense, Braavos is effectively a Burgeoise rebel city
I think that's definitely part of it. Littlefinger is a self-made man and surrounds himself with self-made men and is from a city of former slaves. Yet, he isn't respected because he is low born. I wonder how this has affected his psyche.
Just a small question: where is Littlefinger keeping all his wards? Does he have them all in one place, or are they spread out across the 7 kingdoms? The wards are mentioned, but Sweetrobin and Sansa seem to be the only ones we ever see. At least that I'm aware of anyway.

By the way, when you're doing all these quotes on the screen, can you have at the bottom who says it instead of/as well as whose chapter it is? It often confuses me and I'm sure I'm not the only one when it's say an Arya chapter talking about taking the throne or something.

Regarding Littlefinger and Ned. Ned was pretty much a pawn for Littlefinger. I too think his deal was legit, at least for that moment. LF was going to use Ned as long as Ned proved useful. However as soon as Ned started talking about crowning Stannis, his usefulness ended, and Littlefinger disposed of him (which probably always was a part if the plan down the line due to Cat).
I think in the end, Ned's acceptance or refusal ends in the same place: the bribing of the gold cloaks and the transfer of Harrenhal. All things being equal, Littlefinger would allow Ned to live.
Preston Jacobs Also, LF wasn't the one who got Harrenhal, Tyrion gave it to him in CoK. Originally it went to Slynt (I am 90% sure, but definitely someone Tyrion sent to the wall for betraying Ned/consolidating power)

Six prisoners, Jaime thought sourly, while we pay wages for twenty turnkeys, six undergaolers, a chief gaoler, a gaoler, and a King's Justice.
Rennifer also mentions that certain of the dungeon reports go to the master of coin (in addition to the chief gaoler, King's Justice, and master of whisperers). Sounds like another large expense, not to mention another way to assert control over the Red Keep and another pie in which both Petyr and Varys have their fingers.

I agree. Folks must remember -- all of the Stark children have been learning lessons, and Sansa is no different. Sansa learned the most important lessons from Cersei herself: "A most powerful weapon a woman has is between her legs."

Thanks. In the beginning, I was trying to be a little edgier and funnier and that can come off as douchie. I suppose in some ways it worked as those videos had a much higher viewerships. I was also looking at more big-picture issues. But in the end, what I love is the analysis and so do the core viewers. So, that's where the change is.

I think that Littlefinger's main drive is his wish to use, confuse and dominate everyone around him. I don't think he has a very long run master plan like Varys or the Martells, rather he thrives confusing everyone around him. And I don't think he is flawless in the execution of his plans; killing Lysa wasn't much of a calculated move, but about disposing of one of his chess pieces that went rogue.

MightyMagyarz exactly :) when considering his background it makes so much sense that he is always looking to be the one pulling the strings behind the shadows, switching sides when he sees fit and disposing of anyone he deems worthless. He has very strong weapons such as economy and deception and he uses them in order to be the one that plays everyone.
His pattern with Eddard and then the Tyrells was convincing on this point. He seems to broker deals with one side, and then turn around and do it for the other side.
Nonetheless, all this shows is that he's doveish when it comes to outright war. This might suggest that he has plans that involve monetary policy that need a coherent government for at least a while longer.

First thing that came to my mind after watching this, what if Littlefinger is loyal to his lineage? And what if his Braavos roots have connections with the Iron Bank as well? That would make sense why he allowed King's Landing to accrue a vast amount of debt over time, and he's using Stannis as a means to fuck things up over that side. I bet he didn't expect Stannis to go North, but Tycho Nestoris followed Stannis up there anyway. It was likely from this decision that he believed the North is worth retaking knowing he has Sansa by his side. The Iron Bank of Baelish coalition would be a powerful entity. War of the Littlepenny Kings, I would say.

Honestly, I think the Crown's actual debt is half the size, but not on paper. With Littlefinger pulling the old investing failure, he can skim and skim and skim. Their is paperwork to back the money up, so it falls on the crown. But who did the paperwork? Littlefinger. Investing in non-existent businesses is even more money. Now borrow heavily from the two biggest lenders around, the Iron Bank and the Lannisters, on behalf of the crown, skim 50% spend the rest in shoddy, unproductive ways. Now you've weakened the Lannisters and forced them into a position of having to constantly prop up the Crown with money, armies, lavish weddings, etc. and you have a deception of strength they have to constantly show as well, which cost money too. This is one reason for the alignment with the Tyrells. Plus it is also an automatic buffer between them and Dorne. With the IB collecting monies all over, all the other houses will be begging for loans to prop them up, and after Stannis has worn down his mercenaries and volunteer forces against the Boltons, he can swoop in and save the day, with the house Stark already in his grasp. With the Lannisters already having Edmure Tully, the Riverlands in ruin and he being named Lord Paramour of the Trident and Harrenhal, he in name can collect some of the more desperate houses with a little gold, as he has done in the Vale. At this point, he can have an invasion by the IB's peoples up that river, having a war take place in which he can twist and turn and then to stop the war, an agreement is reached if they will name Littlefinger King and the Lannisters dismiss the Crowns debt. He can pay them a couple million back of their own money, which he stole and he is now King, who can use is abysmally small penis to shaft which ever wench he fancies. I don't think he was counting on White Walkers and Dragons though, and let us not forget their is an Assassin to be on the loose shortly.
The big question is whether the Sealord, the Bank and (shutter) the House of Black and White are all on the same team.
I hope you will address that at some point. BTW, I listen to your stuff for my night time rest. Except my wife wants to talk about what you're saying! No sleep.

Hey, part two came out eventually. Easy for me to say six years later.
The Andals came to Westeros through the Vale, specifically at the fingers. I wonder if we'll see another one of those corrisponding events with the same components just jumbled around. We already have a few similarities.
I'm making a prediction for the following videos: Littlefinger has Tyrek Lannister. Littlefinger blamed Tyrion for Bran's assassination attempt (though Tyrion figures out who actually did it), he orchestrated the Purple Wedding so Tyrion would take the blame though he lists multiples of motives besides that and yet Sansa still doesn't completely believe him (and Tyrion comes close to discovering he did it through Penny), and Tyrion blames Cersei for losing his nose to Mandon Moore but she never gives the reader a reason to think she did it despite her being a PoV character later on (and Mandon Moore is a Valeman, brought to King's Landing by Jon Arryn though he didn't particularly care for him, which means he was really brought by Lysa, which means he was really brought by Littlefinger -- it's no surprise that after Mandon Moore dies, he is replaced in the Kingsguard with Osmund Kettleblack, a Littlefinger spy, and Littlefinger himself now has Lothor Brune always at his side, a quiet knight from a minor house...like Mandon Moore).
Tyrek disappears the Tyrion chapter immediately following the decision to send Littlefinger to treat with the Tyrells. Everyone suspects Varys, but Varys's schemes are all about mute peasant children and foreigners, the only heir he cares about is a Targaryen one. Littlefinger is the Lord Paramount of the Riverlands, he has Sansa Stark, Sweetrobin and Harold Hardyng, he's predicted the arrival of the "three queens," he's friends of the Tyrells, and he wants Tyrion dead for some reason...he must have a piece in every kingdom, and in the Westerlands, it's Tyrek.
That's something to ponder on.

It'd be particularly interesting if littlefinger was just a very clever opportunist. It would explain why no one could predict what he'd do - not even varys. It would also explain why his only allegiances are to his childhood love, and her daughter. I find it highly unlikely as he seems to be like varys - a master juggler - but unlike varys - solely out for personal gain.

I very much enjoyed this video. What I think I love the most about Littlefinger is that, even when someone like yourself manages to cleverly predict and reveal dozens of hidden moves that have yet to be played... we still are none the wiser as to what he actually is doing it all for! I would not like to play chess (or should that be cyvasse?) against him. The more pieces I took, the more convinced I would become that he was going to win! Not only that, you'd start to wonder why he invited you to play in the first place, and whether it was really winning the game that he wanted from you!

Littlefinger doesn't frustrate me as he seems to do other fans because I know what it's like to work with people with great intuition and can also play the game by ear. I know the audience prefers Varys because he's basically the guy with the PowerPoint presentation that shows you every detail of what he's been planning for decades but the truth is: men like Petyr Baelish will always have the advantage over people like Varys. Over the course of the story, I've only seen Varys thwart Petyr's plans once and it was a total accident of fate. Right now, the only wrench Varys has been able to place on Littlefinger is Tyrion's survival. As long as Tyrion lives, whatever plan involving Sansa Stark will simply crumble. What I'm looking forward to is the moment when Sansa realizes she can involve Tyrion in her schemes. That's simply going to be epic.
Also: I think the whole plan with Ned was to a) get him into Kings Landing and b) getting him arrested and c) killed off. It was Janos Slynt (bought by Littlefinger) who reacted to Jeoffreys outragious order (beheading a High Lord on the steps of the Sept of Baelor!) at once, as if he knew. Also remember what Littlefinger said about having to splash with the water so Jeoffrey so the king could see that he could drink it about angering Tyrion (manipulating Jeoffrey again). The whole "But they have the weak hearts of women" speech of Jeoffrey seemed to me as if he was lured into ordering Ned to be killed (him having all this "hard manliness like my father" thing going on). I don't think Littlefinger wanted to sponsor the Starks. And he played Ned- he told him, not to trust him and knew the honorable Lord Stark would to some extend because of "Family, Duty, Honor" and he knew that Ned would never set Renly on the throne (as long as Stannis lives) or accept a cuckoos egg Cersei put into Roberts (his best friends!) nest on the throne. I think Littlefinger was just stalling Ned so he could get killed (he did come up with the brothel that Jon and Stannis used to visit at a very inconvienent time for Ned- he was just about to leave for good after quitting the job as the hand- if he had done that, he would have been safe.
Could SweetRobin be Littlefinger's? Although I think he has falsely convinced everyone reading that he loves(d) Catlyn, that just seems to obscure his motives as every action he has taken has been hostile to her interests.
The interest in this story is taht so many of the clues are sprinkled throughout the story. Maddening!

I think that rather than supporting one of the Westeros houses, he's supporting one overseas. Most likely a prominent family in Braavos (if not the Sealord himself). The debt gives Braavos a valid excuse for war and perhaps taking a part of Westeros for themselves. Littlefinger would undoubtebly be rewarded for his contributions. Probably with goverenance over a certain region. Plus don't forget that Braavos 'elects' their sealord and he is currently ill. He might be working his way up to that position instead, his Bravoosi roots give a chance at it.
I think there is definitely something going on with Braavosi politics that we haven't been privy to. But I also think Littlefinger is very invested in Westerosi history.

What assurance do we have that sweet Bobby is Jon Arryn's get? The man was past his baby making age. For all we know The boy might be Littlefinger's.
The Arryns might be skinchangers. Robin having the ability is more likely that way, since the Lysa has skinchanger ancestry.

It's actually interesting to see what Littlefinger is planning, because I feel like he does have some sort of goal in the end, or else his actions are just random, but other times i think he's just opportunistic and playing everyone along the way.
Nice discussion video. I might not always agree but really appreciate the style in this modern age and everyone is free to speculate. This video has got me thinking that while I had the impression Littlefinger cared little for his Braavosi background given the way he eschewed his family's traditional emblem,
The idea his agenda involves turning much of Westeros into a glorified Braavosi/Iron Bank Economic Vassal through making them financially indebted to the IB makes some sense if Littlefinger is a pro Burgeoise revolutionary of sorts. Eg he is highly capable but is looked down upon by the traditional high aristocracy and the road to respectability for the capable merchant class is blocked. Eg look at the Spicers having to marry into the poor but prestigious Westerlings as an example. Sure Littlefinger got Harrenhall but look at the disdain for Janos Slynt "the Butchers son!" and how no one kicked up a fuss when Tyrion got rid of him to the Wall, even the Tyrells have some legitimacy issues given they weren't the Royal House of the Reach when Aegon landed
I'm beginning to suspect Seems to me that his (Littlefinger) character relates to the feudal/Burgeoise conflict , +spoiler+ similar to how the Cersei/High Sparrow represents the conflicts between the Kingdom nobiltiy and the religious or Ecclesiastical Class. This makes a lot of sense, Braavos is effectively a Burgeoise rebel city
I think that's definitely part of it. Littlefinger is a self-made man and surrounds himself with self-made men and is from a city of former slaves. Yet, he isn't respected because he is low born. I wonder how this has affected his psyche.

Just a small question: where is Littlefinger keeping all his wards? Does he have them all in one place, or are they spread out across the 7 kingdoms? The wards are mentioned, but Sweetrobin and Sansa seem to be the only ones we ever see. At least that I'm aware of anyway.
