I had never liked cooking. I ran into your videos. i started watching then I said I wanted to try to cook. Thanks to you guys I'm now starting college at a culinary arts community college. Thanks you guys for the inspiration.
So proud to say I know you guys. I am a (71) year old-old man who just loves to cook. It makes my heart glad to see how you can handel yourselves in such tight spaces, most so called ====could not even open a can.

I took the other route completely. I went to culinary school back in 1997 and realised internet and computers were amazing and ended up building a career in media production.
The love that took me out of culinary school because it felt to forced, seems to be the same love that made you drop your stuff and get into cooking and making it yours and I think it's absolutely amazing.
For me, cooking could never be a career because it would be like making a career out of sex. Something intimate, genuine and personal turned into a business, but somehow you guys managed to keep it intimate, genuine and personal and still turn it into a business and I applaud you for it.
Thanks for the honesty and the massive pile of incredibly innovative and interesting recipes. Keep it flowing.
I really like you guys. I'm a poor person on a fixed income (Social Security Disability) live in an SRO. SRO stands for Single Room Occupancy Hotel. That means I have a room. The bathroom is down the hall. In my room I have a sink, an electric hotplate, a toaster oven (I can bake bread), and a couple of mini-crockpots. I can cook all sorts of things with that. Later this year I will have an apartment size refrigerator. I have just a little cube now. After beer, not much room for food. That's my biggest limitation. I can't cook ahead much, and I don't have a crisper drawer. Still, lots of your stuff I can do, and the attitude, to just take whatever is there and make something with it, really resonates with me. It's like improvising or making art. It's fun. So thanks. I'm not likely to be throwing money at you any time soon, but I share your videos on google+.
it's not just college students, me and my husband work long hours, and having tasty and quick meals is awesome. I just wish I found this channel sooner LOL. This past 2 weeks , making the basmalti rice. Made the dill-peanut 'zip sauce', i even added to burgers. Having left-over is no longer boring. Keep up the great work!!! xoxo
You have a genuine presence on screen, and intuitive ingenuity with food. Your low cost, everyman approach strikes an accord with viewers. I've learned a lot just from the way you approach food, and your creative cobbling of ingredients. Rock on guys, your the real deal, and you've got a new subscriber.

OK, gotta say you all are the Best! Creative and sensible, sincere yet hilarious, talented while humble. These attributes are found together in few! Divorced now and finances are not what they once were. I will be cooking with my high shool age son with great enjoyment now. Thank you for this channel and the fabulous videos!

I love you guys. I'm 22 from Long Island and I just transferred to another college after 2 years of commuting from my parents house. I'm living off campus for the first time. I'm a Food Service Restaurant Management Major and you guys are awesome. You've helped me so much I can't even explain. It's awesome to know you can utilize stuff laying around the kitchen. Keep on fucking shit up with delicious goodness.

"If you don't like it cook, it yourself" is so funny because my grandma use to say the same thing to me ( Hey, she got older and didn't see so good and would forget when she put things in the pan or oven and "'Did I salt that?" and you get the picture. My answer was same as yours. OK I will. I'm her age now and have been cooking since my early teens and only wish I had guys like you, back then, to guide me as I taught myself to cook. To the Newbies, these guys are right. It really is fun and liberating!!

Ah brothers, gotta love ‘em. I started cooking as soon as my grandmother could get me sitting on the cabinet to “help”. In the military I cooked food for fellow sailors when none of us could get leave over the holidays. Blew everyone away when “Killer Mike” did ham or turkey or a mean roast. What can I say? I was good with a knife in the field and in my kitchen!

I love watching these guys not only for the food, but I love their personalities. They are extremely entertaining and endearing. Their connection and friendship is amazing!
You guys have a similar story as mine! My both parents were working, and left my sister and i at home since we were 8 and 9. My mother only left us a plate of meat for lunch every single day. We found it boring, so we bought different ingredients to add to the meat, and experiment with different cooking methods. Still remember that we bought a squash, but our knife sucks. We could not cut it open no matter how hard we tried. We always made a mess in the kitchen, but it's really fun.

Love what u guys do. I agree w/ love behind cooking. So true! I'm the oldest among four sisters and I'm the only one who cooks. Yikes! So I'm the lucky one...Lol. now I have a little family of my own. We don't make much and constantly tight w/ money. So 90% of the time everything is homecooked. And being creative and innovative from strained moments always bring out the best. So pretty much I know where u r coming from and u guys are a delight. I appreciate, love and have become a fan!

awesome guys..I cook in a similar way you do..in fact my friends do the same and we all cook together.. we don't measure out spices or what amount we do but we do drink and eat well and enjoy each others company around fantastic foods..keep it up love the shows up guys do.
