Ok. :-) I have had some thoughts about building a M-U-T Rotopress. But then I would probably use a servonaut motor for the drum, reduced by a chain drive. Really interesting to watch how your work progresses. Would be nice if you could make more videos so I can see how well it handles different kinds of "waste" =)

Thanks for the info! I am looking forward to your upcoming videos. My own Project is virtually finished, will upload videos soon.

The KuKa' s drum is 2cm bigger in diameter, cause of the conical shape. The hole where the trash goes into is also bigger. I have to say that the Faun works better. This video is the first testrun, and the drum was not even properly connected to the chassis, the next video will show better results.

I guess the power on the helical vanes is about 5 kgs, the motor is ahacked 25 kgs servo, not as strong as the KuKa 215G which has a worm driven reducer

Nice! 25Kg you say, so how much force on the periphery of the drum?

So, which type of truck do you think works best? The rotopress shape of the drum, or the kuka with it's conical shape?? In this video it seems to have a Little trouble "pulling" the waste in.
