Great video, love the perspective. I did not realise from your earlier videos that this truck has another moving part which opens and closes as seen at 1:53 and 2:23 . I guess this helps give a wider opening for rubbish to pass through into the body of the truck for larger objects and when the truck starts to fill up? Flattened cardboard boxes: the one thing that can beat the auger compactor design. ( 2:00 ). How much more destroyed or processed does the rubbish get using an auger compactor vs a flat plate compactor design? I would think it would really chew the rubbish up when the truck is close to full. Keep up the great work! 🙂
Yeah the door definitely helps with larger items and decreases the wear & tear on the auger over time. When the trash comes out it’s all shredded up then compacted. That’s how it can pack more tonnage.
Unfortunately not... I'm the only one operating and dumping at the landfill. I'm working on getting a video at our shop so you can see what the trash looks like.
