Hi Auri! I need to tell you something. I had pretty hard times in my life and I also had strong depression and anxiety. I found out your cleaning videos, I have watched a lot of them and I decided - if I'm able to clean my house and myself, its not that horrible situation! And now is my place nice and clean, I have bought new clothes and I'm trying to live like a happy human :) Thanks a lot for you!
I'm so proud of you ❤️
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💜 that’s great to hear that your beating it one hour at a time, keep going, your can do it! If it throws you off for a few days, no problem, just get back to it when you can 💜🇬🇧🇺🇦
So glad to hear - been there, and it is no joke!
So happy for you!!! ❤️
This is so cool to read
I have always admired the way other European countries reward recycling to encourage it. If only all the world thought the the same, so much could be done to renew plastics and cans.
Exactly what I was thinking 😑

@@catha9030 Verdade, deveria ser muito mais frequente a reciclagem mas o povo aqui não faz muito isso não
Yes in Germany We are super proud of this system, because we share our bottles with homeless or poor people the big cities even have can holders so nobody has to go through trash cans anymore. I hope more countries will do it.
G'day, Tina Sponheimer! What a good and charitable idea to share bottles with the homeless or poor. And no "dumpster diving", probably. More countries should do it; I agree.
Guten Tag, Tina Sponheimer! Was für eine gute und wohltätige Idee, leere Flaschen mit den heimlos oder armen zu teilen. Und wahrscheinlich kein Müllcontainertauchen. Mehre Landen sollen das auch tun; ich stimme zu.
Hey Auri! Just a heads up. I think there was a rendering issue on this video. From 17:20 - 21:00 it's just black, soundless video (though 17:20 seems to be the conclusion of the vid). Then at 21:00 it starts up again but seems to be unfinished edits and takes of the video until the whole thing finally cuts off. Just letting you know!
Beautiful caring work as always. 💕
YES! It happened with me too.... :(
Yeah i hope she realized this issue
Yeah I want to see the after picture but it happened.
From the space in the tiny apartment it looks like the shelves should go in the entrance area by the doors and the bed should be moved to the living area by the kitchen. That way, the bed can become a daybed/couch in the living area and the shelves will allow for easier access to the bathroom and front door. Fantastic work as always Aurikatariina!
That's exactly what I was thinking .... that bed is in the wrong spot!
It usually comes from not liking waking up to your kitchen. I had an apartment with main areas this small and I had to walk through my closet to access my bathroom. 😅
Agreed!
I think Auri leaves that to the tenant. She doesn't mess around with how the spaces are set up, not knowing the purpose that person has for where things are. She's very conscientious about that, and rightly so.
Yes, in Denmark we do get a refund when we take cans and bottles back to the store - and when you're done feeding them into the machine, you can even select to donate the money to charity (or get them yourself). I think it's a great way to encourage recycling, so the materials don't go to waste 👍
That's so COOL! I wish America had that system!
in sweden too!
In Germany we get also money for the bottles 0,15 cents Euro for 1 Bottle
@@IDOVGLEE we do. I'm in California and get money back for recycling plastic, glass or cans.
Lithuania too!
Thank you so much. I wanted to share my experience with your channel in hopes it may make you feel good.
I used to watch your videos when I was deep in depression. I would watch you clean these houses and would only fuel the negativity such as "I wish I was good enough to clean like that" or "at least mine isn't that dirty right now". I struggle with severe PTSD and it's made it quite hard for me to get rid of things. It's called resource guarding. I'm transitioning in life to being an adult and one day things just clicked for me and I finally realized "I don't want to live in this much mess anymore" I remembered watching your videos and thought I'd look for some tips to start. Instead I got your company combined with my new motivation and it's helped me get through this. It's taking me far longer than you of course but every time I feel like giving up I look over at the video and see you're still cleaning, so I do too. Thank you for cleaning up my life too even if you never came here in real life.

I like what Aurikatatriina does, and I love her mission. When I watch her videos, and listen to her kind, nonjudgemental words (what a kind voice she has), I am always reminded that my Depression, Anxiety and PTSD do not make me "bad" or "broken" ... that's a healthy thing for me. Very few people know much about me, or if they do, understand the intention it takes to live, with the grace I need to give myself. I like to clean, though used to clean to the point of someone with OCD ... a book out of place on the table was impossible to look at. I've learned and am easier on myself, overall.
If my sink is dirty and I have a lot of dishes, I clean my sink first AND last :D. I clean it before washing dishes so that I’m not cleaning dishes on a dirty surface, and after washing dishes to encourage me to keep it clean by not letting dishes pile up. That’s just what works for me 😊
Same! 🙂
Same
I wanted to say the same but didn’t know how to put it :))
i cant get over the fact that she deals with the smells and still goes on like a champ and cleans for this long in every vid. you’re amazing aurikatariina ❤❤
IKR! 🤩🤩 I believe she said a little while back that she has a bad sense of smell and gets really excited when she can smell the client's homes.
@@hmms5256 omg I was going to say I bet she struggles to smell! Most people could not handle this, so she’s using something people would think sucks and turning it into something good for her and others.
Its probably like a farmer around cow crap, you get used to it.
And she don’t even wear a mask or eye protection! She’s a champion!!
To me it makes a lot of sense to scrub the sink first, before washing dishes. Those old stains in the sink are unsanitary, so the dishes might still be contaminated after washing in this mess. Love your positive vibes, Aurikatariina, and learned a lot of tricks = strategies from you that makes cleaning so much quicker and fun!
I have OCD. Watching your videos, makes me feel so happy when you’re done! ❤️👍🏻
My brother had too but he got over it
My daughter has been stuffing from depression for 10 years I wish you was in marietta ga USA, I've been looking for a service like I yours , we're even willing to pay but haven't had any luck. I love your videos and keep blessing others with your love for cleaning. 💘😻💜
I live in the state of Michigan in the US. Not all states have programs where you can recycle cans and bottles; it depends on which state you live in. And in the states where you do get money for recycling bottles and cans, it is not always the same amount of money. For example, in Michigan, you get 10 cents per bottle or can when you recycle them. In other states, it is 5 cents per bottle or can. There may be other amounts in other states as well. I really enjoy your videos. They encourage me to clean better, try new cleaning products and methods, and make me happy. Thank you for being so giving to others and helping people for free.

@@kittycat-fo3gi Hi Neighbor!! :)
Totally agree re: cleaning the sink before the dishes. Back when I didn't have a dishwasher I'd do my dishes by filling the sink with hot water w/dish soap and then give all my dirty crokery&cutlery a nice hot 'bath', so if the sink is dirty, the dishes are going to swim in the filth, which kinda gives me more work.
Hi Swiinka I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. If you don’t mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless you….🌹🌹🌹🌹
G'day, Auri! It's not silly to clean the sink before washing the dishes. That way, you're getting clean water onto the dishes, not dirty or unsanitary water onto dishes that are used for cooking and eating. Great idea!
My apartment is the same size as the one in the video, even my bathroom is much smaller. I think I'm lucky to be a minimalist. I even have a lot of empty space in my closet and in the kitchen.
Thank you for helping all those who need it.
in Turkey, we get money for our transportatiton card from recycling bottles. or we simply get a bottle of water lol. i think recycling is awesome. every city of every country should place these recycling kiosk things (idk what they are called) and i think recycling these people's trashes and buying them new things is brilliant. literal example of trash to treasure.
The credit in the transportation card sounds like a great idea! Because public transport can be more ecological than driving cars! Way to go Turkey :)

When I was a kid in the 1970's, all the soda bottles were made of glass, and we could return them to the store and get money for them, as long as they weren't broken. The glass bottles were sanitized and re-used by the beverage companies. Now (in the USA) everything is in plastic and in most cases you don't get any money for returning them. I actually have to pay extra for my city's recycling service, so I am paying to recycle. 🙄
Glass soda bottles still exists in third world (India) but we are seeing it decline as well.
I think it is awful that the citizens here are the ones blamed for pollution, when it is the companies mass producing all our products using plastics. I recycle all of my plastic bottles, cardboard, and aluminum cans. I do think you can get a certain amount of money per pound on aluminum cans, but you must drive to a special location to drop them off, otherwise recycling is picked up every 2 weeks and we pay for the trash and recycling removal ourselves. I think the manufactures should stop constantly producing plastics and quit blaming the citizens here for the pollution.
Я родилась в СССР в 1976 году и у нас также была возможность сдать стеклянную тару за деньги. 😎 Всё это к сожалению в прошлом.
i live in germany and we do recycle.. most of our bottles have a deposit on it. so we pay up to 25 cent more when purchasing a bottle and we get it back when returning. Bot some glass bottles dont have a deposit. In this case every small village has huge containers only for Glas bottles. We even sort them by the color. green glas goes into the container for green glas, brown glas into the brown glas container and so on..
We also do sort out our trash. We have a trashbin for everything thats made out of plastic, eg. foil, yogurt cups. A trashbin only for paper/cardbox and a trashbin for all the other stuff. Some cities have a trashbin for everything organic, leftover food, grass clippings and more..
My city charges me a 130 euro per year for waste collection.
yes, we do take recycling serious :)
I remember being a little kid and more than happy to volunteer to take the glass soda bottles back - I got to keep the change :)
Thank you so much I get mental depression from time to time and your videos help motivate me to move forward and clean. Thank you for sharing.
I am Australian, we have money rewards for bottles. But we also get a fortnight pick up Bin, for paper and other plastic. Plus one for just green garden waste. My general waste bin is only 1/2 the size of the other bins, this encourages you to recycle better. Love the work you do

You could of easily walked on that bed…..
BUT you DIDNT!! You didnt care what was on that bed or how dirty; instead, you still respected their home! I love this so much about you!!!!
Could HAVE---100% improper grammar to say 'could of'! "Could've" is short for 'could have.'
@16:49 I would move the clothes rack towards the door and move the bed closer to the microwave area. Just so she can have more room towards the front door, so she doesn’t have to climb over her bed as often. She can sit on one side and the head or the foot of the bed. Front of the bed when she first comes in and if she is eating or something she can use the foot of the bed to do that.
For the microwave, I put some Lemon juice in a bowl of water and then run the microwave until the water boils. That loosens the food that has splattered on the inside. After that I'll typically boil the water again and repeat the wipe down, then take a microfiber cloth with some dish soap and give it a good cleaning, followed by a clear water rinse. It works well and doesn't take too long (and my wife is happy).
Your wife is lucky!
I'm so glad I saved this to watch today. We have thunderstorms and all I want to do is read. Aurikatarina will motivate me to get moving. 😊
I absolutely love the bathroom functionality... big drain in the floor and everything can be washed ,cleaned and spray down the drain...love this idea!!! You are really sweet to help so many...
I wish our bathrooms were designed the same way. How much easier to scrub and rinse!

Good luck! I cleant my kitchen today :)
So how’s it going? The problem I have is where to put everything! I end up having stuff neatly piled in corners and I hate it!!
@@bonsaibaby8257 Boxes. Seriosly they make a difference so much! Even inside the cupboards, shelves etc. You may also try to look for some second hand furniture. Maybe you will find something that you like and neat piles on shelves, or in drawers are pretty functional.

I live in Colombia and we don't have that kind of stuff. But... in Medellín, the only city with a "subway" system in the country, you can take the bottles to a machine in some stations and recharge the subway card.
I think is a really clever idea and I hope more transportation systems here starts to do the same.
That’s great
Another great cleaning, as usual... I also like washing the sink before the dishes, but for a slightly different reason... I hate when the drain clogs with any leftovers so I make sure it's all clear before starting the dishes themselves...

I absolutely adore you & your videos, even though my house is usually a depression mess... The times I actually am motivated to clean, you're the inspiration every time. I thank you for helping so many people and that you're spreading awareness for such quiet mental health problems that cause these messes in the first place. Thank you so much.
It would be great to have a housecleaner, but if you can't get one, doing even one thing like making your bed gives you a tremendous serotonin boost, and can lead to giving you more energy for further cleaning the rest of your space. This boost has helped me crawl out of some very dark places.
In my province in Canada you can get money for pop cans and bottles, as well as any bottles that you purchased at the Liquor Store: Baileys, whiskey, wine, etc. There's even little baskets by the trash barrels where you can leave your cans so they can be picked up by people who need some change. Love your motivational videos!
We have free household recycling here in Scotland. Also with the sink, I always clean it first before doing dishes. Clean sink, clean dishes!
I clean my sink both before and after doing dishes---kind of redundant, but I like a CLEAN sink!
I've been watching Aurikatariina for a week and I've already stocked my home with all the tools she uses. She inspired me to deep clean my home! Yayy!
I like the washer in the bathroom. Very practical. Money and time saver.
I would love to see a CLOSE UP tutorial of using scraper tool to show us how to not scratch the surface?!?! It always scratches and ruins every surface I've tried it on 😭
In a previous video she says to scrap diagonally not perpendicular to the surface
Look at how she holds it. When using a scraper it's not about pushing as hard as you can. It's about keeping it diagonal to the surface and lightly rubbing it. It's similar to how you'd use your fingernail to scratch through something. As long as the scraper isn't harder than the surface you're using it on it won't scratch it.
Anyone else catch themselves using Auri's cleaning techniques? They work! It's a great start to the day, when she drops a new video!

I just used dish soap to remove a bunch of old stuck on food that my children had dropped on the shag rug. Just a little soap, some light scrubbing, and wiping it away with a wet cloth and it's like new. I'm definitely going to be using more of her techniques going forward.
@@nubs9895 That's great! I've been using dish soap to clean more surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom, and her folding the cloth, so you use the whole thing, and the way she wipes back and forth, really works well.
Yes- in Oregon, US when you purchase a bottles/cans you pay a deposit on top of the regular price about $0.10/ each and then you can return them yourself or participate in a drop off program and get that deposit money back! Pretty great! I have my bottle drop off connected to a savings account for my daughter 👍🏻
Not in texas
Michigan does that, too.
Not in NH either. We do recycle, though, and I think most folks do a good job following through.

I live in an area abundant with limestone. I constantly battle limescale buildup in my shower or on sinks, etc. A UA-cam video demonstrated using equal parts blue (only blue) liquid Dawn dish soap, white vinegar and doubling warm water amounts to mix together…use mixture on shower walls and tubs and let it sit for about 5 min or so and then scrub. It is amazing. I have used this for all types of shower/tub materials and glass shower walls. You’ll love it.
That sounds like you'd be using up a ton of soap and vinegar.. also why the blue dawn? You could easily get other products that stick to the area.. like scrubbing bubbles where it sticks to the area and works. Come back like 10 minutes later and just wipe no real need to scrub. The main issue you'd have with the soap and vinegar is letting it sit on a vertical surface won't really work out since it just runs off.

In Canada we recycle many things.... batteries (from car batteries to hearing aid batteries), pens, printer cartridges, left over paints, electronics, paper, cardboard, cans - plastic - tetra packs (like soup cans - straws/plastic bags/etc - milk cartons). I live at Denmark and yes, the cans and bottles that have a "pant" mark can be returned to the shops (in a machine) so we can get the value back. In South Africa, we also have recycling points at some of the shops.
And most of the trash is free to recycle here.
I love your cleaning videos and the compassion you show the person you help. Its not a thing you Can learn but something you have inside. Thank you for being you❤ we dov recycle bottles and cans in Denmark 🇩🇰
Compassion most certainly can be taught and learned!! I know at least 3 people who had to learn it, never having experienced it at home, and now, as adults, they're some of the most compassionate people EVER!
Hi,Auri, I live in South India and I think dirt is something we're accustomed to in most parts of our beautiful country, as many might have heard or known. There's no dearth of dust, and we just can't avoid it in a tropical country. But what is amazing is how the sun helps do away with germs and where there's sun, there's not much room for depression. Mostly, I meant. And people here, are always getting rid of waste, for money! There are buyers for waste paper, bottles, old pans, appliances, clothes, scrap material, oh! so many things. While many donate their stuff, some sell them for a few rupees.
Hi my favourite cleaning super hero!
In Australia in some states we get money for glass/cans/plastic bottle returns too. Plus, every second week, our local council wiill pick up our very large recycling bins everyhouse is issued with for paper, cans and plastic. Bins in shopping centres are separated etc. Recycling is big here. 😊
Here in the states, it depends what state you live in to be able to return bottles. My state doesn't let us return them, which is a shame because they end up strewn all over the ground
Whaaaat?!? Unbelievable 😳
That's unbelievable! What state is that? That's so irresponsible. Your state government needs to hear from you and a group of friends, then get that group growing. That just sounds so backward.
@@maryc4396 I live in Ohio. I moved here from Micigan, back there they gave you ten cents a can
@@maryc4396 The only states that have a returnable bottle/can system are California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Oregon, and Vermont.
This is the motivation I needed to clean today, lol
Hi Aurikateriina! Yes, here in New York I return bottles for money! ( But only certain types of bottles like water bottles and certain cans...like beer cans or soda cans).
Thank you for inspiring me to clean more. I can always find something more to clean!
"I will do it tomorrow". I know very well what you mean. Depression is a terrible, invisible pain. I think it is very difficult to keep clean and tidy such a tiny space. Did you clean and vacuum the mattress before putting clean bed sheet? All the best for Ana's new start. And and great thank you to you, Auri ❤❤
I love your choice of words when describing what you are doing! Makes me happy listening to you :)
Would love to see the tenant get a small horizontal folding murphy bed. They make them so compact now. It can be hard to keep such a small space like this, clean. Especially when one piece of trash covers the entire apartment lol.
You did great as always Auri, love it!!
Hi Jessica I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. If you don’t mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless you….🌹🌹🌹🌹
Or a murphy table that folds up like they do in camper vans. That would save her a lot of room too.
Wow that’s a lot of trash. God bless you for what you do.
dear katarina, what's you're doing is just awesome...a hug from italy 💕
Amazing! Like you say- the dirtier the better!
What a blessing you are to these people!
In the US it depends upon which state- my state does not pay for plastics and we have to pay extra for recycle pick up. Otherwise you can haul to the dump yourself. Our bathrooms do not have an open floor drain, just one in the tub or shower. I like Finlands bathroom style better.
😊😊😊
Hi, I have always loved your videos! And a couple times you have inspired me to start cleaning my own house for my aunt while she's working. so thank you so much! I hope you have a nice day.😊
I live in the U.S. and it depends on what state you live in to get paid for cans/bottles. Usually we just leave them in the recycling cart for pickup or you can haul your cans to a scrap metal yard where they pay you by the pound.
I always clean my sinks before I wash dishes. Every time. Also, I just got some power paste for the first time and my sink and faucet looks amazing!😁😁
Doim sizni videolaringiz chiqishini intiqlik bn har yakshanba kuni kutaman .ishlarizga omad🇺🇿🇺🇿🇺🇿🇺🇿🇺🇿
And she recycles !! 😍👍 That's perfect
I always clean the sink first if it's dirty too. It's really satisfying to see a clean sink! And there's just something about having a clean sink to clean dishes in!
Such a sad story, but very sweet ending. You did an excellent job on this house! Thank you for sharing, and helping Hannah!❤❤
Love the Tiny Tidy Apartment Makeover.
In my state of Australia (New South Wales) we can return cans and bottles for 10c each. South Australia has done this for decades, but the other states are still catching up!
Auri i want to Thank you from the bottom of my heart me and my husband have adhd and anxiety/depression. And a really challenging jobs and our home gets sometimes so messy.
