    The price of victory is so high. The price of freedom is righteous diligence. Thank you Audie Murphy for paying such a high price so that we could have freedom in America. May those of us who have Freedom be diligent to keep it. Thanks for posting Brad.

    Thanks for doing one on Audie Murphy! Him and Alvin York were two Americans I revered. I even wrote a paper on Audie in college. There used to be a memorial to him at Clothing and Sales at Ft. Hood. I wish people like the two I mentioned were taught about in grammar schools nowadays instead of the garbage they teach. Thanks Brad

    I had the pleausre of meeting Audie Murphy a long long time ago at a VFW event in Dallas Texas. My uncle Who had been a POW from Wake Island introduced me to Audie Told me Audie was a hero but then Audie told my uncle he was a much better hero than he had ever been I haven't forgot that as long as I have lived If I remember I was around 10 or 11 at that time Audie asked me if I was going to join the Military and to answer that question I said Yes I was and I was going to be a Medic and thats what happened for 21 years I went into the Army when I was 18 years and 7 days in 1967 Yes I suffer from Combat related PTSD I have most of the things Paul Harvey was talking about I also went through PTSD treatment 3 times the demons are and will always be there in my mind But I have learned how to calam them down to the most part .The headaches are the worst Gonna go for now

    Yeah, you caught it... Greeneville TN hosts the tributes to Andrew Johnson, Davy Crockett, and Nathan Greene (Revolutionary War Hero.) I'll bet you can find some examples in AJ and NG that demonstrate how war damages people. It's interesting that in the Biblical Greek & Hebrew, many of the root words translated as "sin" have root meanings of "broken, damaged, scarred, marred, rotted, harmed, disturbed, imperfect, defaced"...you understand...

    • @BradDison
      @BradDison  Рік тому +1

      I mistakenly said Greenville, Tennessee rather than Greenville, Texas. I noted the mistake in the description as well. :)

    No mention of his Hollywood time but that does pale in comparison of his real life❤ All soldiers are taught and conditioned to kill but no deconditioning for home life😢

    • @BradDison

      Oh yeah. He was in some great films. I probably should have covered his time in Hollywood. It's very sad that soldiers were not "deconditioned," as you said, for home life. Certain members of my family who were in Vietnam would certainly agree with you. :)
