    Jay Leno could easily have a second channel with millions of subscribers if he just put up web cams showing the craftsmen working on these pieces of automotive art.

    • @grizzlygrizzle
      @grizzlygrizzle 5 років тому +12

      To be fair, a lot of craftsmen don't like having others looking over their shoulders while they work (everyone's a critic). And few have Mustie1's ability to interact amiably with a camera audience while they work.
      -- It occurs to me that Mustie1 lives only about 15 miles from Jay's hometown. Jay should look him up next time he's back east.

      Yes,I agree! When I see his videos I wonder what will happen to his beautiful collection of cars when he passes? There once was the Briggs Cunningham Auto Museum,that I was fortunate to visit in 1977,beautiful place. Now it’s gone after Briggs passed. There once was the Harrah Car Museum in Vegas. All gone. I think Jay has more cars than both had combined. Jay should live to at least 100!

Mr. Leno's ability to identify, attract and maintain the thoughtful and talented people that work with him is in my view as impressive as the cars, motorcycles and for goodness stationary steam engines built before standard nuts and bolts he shares with us. People may think this idea is dumb, but i love the idea of a car of such magnitude that is so great that it must be serviced by a personal professional technician. For example; cars like a McLaren F1, Pagani, or an Aston Martin Vulcan. The quintessential car of each time, no restrictions, no limitations, and no rationale or reason. Pure perfection in the embodiment of the soul or essence in what an idea turned creation. ❤️

    Muffler-sans F1 brought me back to LeMans '95. But the intake noise of the F1 is even more unique. I recognize it every time.

    Thank you for making these videos, they have inspired me to get into cars. I had some bad experiences in the past because of my abusive mechanic father, and avoided the idea of fixing up and owning nice-ish cars. The videos uploaded on your website/channel have inspired me to get into it. I have now bought my first car in April, i am 19 years of age and the car i bought is a 1962 Buick LeSabre. Thank You Mr.Leno.

      I had a 1954 Hudson Super Jet that I wanted to restore, but it was too far gone. It was parked in 1985 and had not been driven since. The engine and transmission were fine, in fact the engine ran so smooth and quiet i would bet it had been rebuilt not long before it was parked, but the rest of the car was in need of EVERYTHING. I love old American cars, but I keep winding up with old European stuff. An old car is a great car when everything works right, but a nightmare when they don't. Best of luck with your LeSabre, Let me know how it's going.

    With all the equipment and obviously talented people Jay has working there ...they have a small factory. Jay needs to design and build his own car and tell us what for and why on all the different details he would include! Great video...more of these!

    I wish the restoration blogs were a regular thing like the old days. I wish the oldest ones were still posted. I love the pre-40's stuff - horseless carriages, steam stuff, etc.
