This is great info. You give it in a small bytes, easy to understand. You do a great job explaining charging rate and consumption equals battery bank size. The thing we can control is our consumption. Great informative video.
This is such a fun discussion! Lithium is great, but with… video coming soon. This video is just to show how to make Pb properly sized and to last, a good option for many boaters
Most people I know have replaced their AGM with the same ah in lithium. If i have 1000ah of storage and use ~ 250/day of AGM why couldn't I only put in 350ah of lithium and have the same effective battery storage? This would seem to make lithium much more affordable but I don't see this in most peoples calculation of benefits over lead.
I love that wooden marlin spike on the bulkhead behind you. Great for teasing apart a knot and for staking a vampire!
Denny, who built the boat, worked on tugs in the Army - he said he used to use one that size!
Thank you for the time & effort to make these informative videos!
Glad you like them! Every year the new group of students will be watching them as well!
Really good info! I can see where paying attention to an ammeter for a while could be very useful before replacing/upgrading a battery bank.
Absolutely!

I appreciate that!
Great information thanks Mike!
You bet!

I'll discuss the costs when I do the next video. Lithium is getting more affordable, reliable, and safer. I see lots of boats going that direction!
Why does the Norwegian navy have bar codes on the side of their ships?
So that when the ships come back into port they can Scandinavian!
That's funny lol. Fellow student Laura will love this
