I didn’t think a simple car could have such an impact on a persons life but man this car takes me back to my childhood and a car I must have fell in love with cause it’s the first thing I thought of when I saw that back end! A distant relations boyfriend who used to hang around before they got married used to come by in his souped up red 74 Roadrunner and as a kid it seemed so frikkin’ cool! The engine was all chrome and it had a black interior, bucket seats and a cool wood grained pistol grip hand shifter and it sounded AWESOME going through the gears. And of course in keeping with the culture at that time it had the big beefy back tires and small strip style skinnies on the front. And I remember how big of a deal was made over the custom painted scene of the roadrunner and Wylie Coyote scene on the trunk deck when he got it done by a local artist. One of my uncle’s also had a waaaaay cool yellow t-bucket and souped up, completely original and babied since he bought it new, split bumper Camaro with the original 350! You could literally lick the underside of the car and it would be clean! It was cherrry and looked and sounded like heaven to my ears! My love for cars started early and was heavily influenced. Chevy pickups were also big in my family. I spent my childhood at mud runs, stock car races and car shows. Cars and trucks were such a huge part of my family’s lives. One of my uncles even started one of the main cab services in our little town that still exists to this day! Lol! Shout out to all the Impala enthusiasts out there! Lol

Thank you for this video, I love the ‘74 roadrunners/ satellites and I really want to own one. Ram chargers have started to catch my eye now too. I’m working on an ‘83 D150 right now so I’ll have to put my dream on hold for a little while longer.

Hi! I asked Howard for to share the name… Sadly the company is no longer in business. His response:
I'd love to, but they closed years ago. Used to be same day paint on sunset ( where atomic motors is now )
