I went for the first time to Crystal Cove to bike Neptune and it was close for Conservation corps work. I did half of Rattlesnake and turned around. Glade I did I don't have the skills for the Rock Gardan and just had ACL surgery in April. I am gambling re injury.

I remember this...last time I was there I blew out the derailleur on my friends bike while mines was in the shop..🤔😐😐😐 good thing was we parked on the other side where it was all downhill and no need to pedal, Aaron Gwynne styled it back to the parking lot..lol ,😄😄🤘🤘 really fun place and trails...

I've done Rattlesnake numerous times, but never BVD. BVD looks challenging enough, but maybe a little less tech than Rattlesnake? I dunno, hard to tell 'cause as you say, the GoPro usually does not do justice to the difficulty level. Never did Car Wreck or Waterfall, either. Lizard is super fun, one of my favorites, but not as tough as the others. Another not so commonly acknowledged trail there is Camarillo which contains a few techy sections. I'll have to find where BVD is. Always good stuff, man!

I found BVD much easier myself. Rattlesnake has a few really chunky sections and BVD stays in the mellow chunky range....

Rattlesnake is much more difficult than BVD. BVD is located off of Moro Ridge. Go pass Missing link and BVD will be on the left. BVD doesn’t have a trail marker. BVD can be found on Trailforks as well. Have fun on the trail bro! 🤙🏻
