Future generations are growing up with UA-cam and content produced by normal everyday folks, and I think it is great. I am kind of sick of all these celebrities with their platforms and agendas and feeling like they need a stance on every topic.
Well, great minds think alike I suppose. It really just pissed me off this time. So many people will ignore it and just suck up the price, but $20 bucks a year for nothing extra just kind of rubs me the wrong way.
Cool vid wanna share something the fact they keep increasing the prices is insane!!!! And the fact they removed content like Hailey’s on it recently!!! Instead of adding shows like house of mouse with the price increase which is absolutely wrong!
Yeah, I am really bummed out by this. I remember House of Mouse from back in the day. I would have assumed it was on there. I'm fairly sure I have some House of Mouse DVD's, including the Christmas special lol.
Disney is doing what’s corps are doing, but people are unwilling to make a principled stand and say “enough.” They also just raised fast pass prices again at the parks.
Did they really? That was not even on my radar. How much did they go up? It is crazy to think that on 'premium' days, people have to drop over $25 bucks on something like that, and if they raised it even more, that is insane.
@@InLikeFlynns For SINGLE attractions... just one ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is $14, up from $11. Tron is $22 up from $20, Guardians of the Galaxy $19, up from $16, and Avatar, $18, up from $14. Star Wars remains at $25... for a single ride. Ridiculous
So in all seriousness, it would cost me $100 to take my family of 4 on Rise of the Resistance.....after paying $500-$600 for us to get in the park. Awesome.
As for as Disney movies go, my local public library has a lot of Disney movies along with many other movies (on DVD and Blu Ray) and the latest new releases to check out for free as long as they are returned by the due date (paid for with property taxes). Unlike streaming services, the public library also has video games as well. Saves tons of money for many. The public library often gets overlooked as a wonderful alternative to streaming services.
We definitely use our local library for the video games. They will actually get a bunch as soon as they are released which is great if you are on the fence about if you want to buy a game or not. We have done some DVD rentals from the library as well. Thanks for the recommendation, I bet a lot of people will find it helpful.
All I use it for is to watch the odd MCU movie or disney animated movie like Hercules. I'm just going to cancel and buy the blurays. Spend like $40 used on eBay for the ones I want.... in 2 months it'll pay for itself.
I'll say this. IF UFC decides not to stay with ESPN as their streaming provider & ppv's. I see more people dropping it. Bob Iger was even at UFC 306 probably trying to get UFC to renew once the current deal comes to an end soon
When does their deal end? People and bars are going to buy UFC PPV's no matter who is streaming them. ESPN+ has little to no value to me other than the UFC content to be totally honest. Every so often something else might pop on there, but that is it.
@InLikeFlynns It comes to an end towards end of 2025. I think Bob Iger is dealing more with Current TKO Holdings President-COO & Former ESPN Executive Mark Shapiro. TKO is the parent company that owns UFC & WWE. Exclusive negotiations will begin in Jan of 2025. I know a lot of people just have ESPN Plus because UFC does small Non-PPV Fight Night cards in there all the time.
A couple of thoughts: We lived through no streaming services. If you have kids, get it for a special treat, like for a birthday month, Christmas or the summer vacation months. Cancel when school is back in session and do other entertainment such as DVDs, free streaming services (Tubi/Pluto) board games, outdoor activities. Other thought, you have me questioning my choices. About a month ago, I spent around $800 for 2 tix to MVMCP and Jollywood. There is no way the hubby and I are getting that much entertainment. That is around 12 to 13 hours of park time. It wasn’t a good spend. That is half the cost of an Incredible Annual Pass. This is definitely our last year of special party tickets. It’s not worth it.
You make some valid points, and I’m sorry I have you questioning your life choices. I hope you all go and have the time of your lives. I hope the party is worth every cent. Let me know how it ends up. I genuinely like hearing feedback from people’s visits! :)
It’s to be expected. I’ve been a cable guy for 30yrs. With all the “cable cutting” the cable companies aren’t paying the providers per household though traditional means, coax box’s. Streaming has a cheaper price tag. All that will evolve over time as the market works out to like 3 players and they charge the high price again. 🤷🏻♂️
I don’t blame Mickey. He knows people will pay it. If people actually have a problem with the cost of Disney they would simply cut the cords. But will people actually do it? Mickey knows people have to have their Disney.
I had it for a while because I was enjoying the Mandolorian and Book of Boba fett I dumped Disney plus months ago. If I'm interested in any new content from them, outside of their 20th Century Horror films, I just pirate it. I'm not giving Disney any more money.
Imagine paying that much money, and you still have to watch annoying ads. I guess this has always been the way with cable tv, but dang is it annoying. Thats why people loved streaming when it first dropped. No ads.
If I did not have a 3 yr old I would 100% cancel Disney+ and only subscribe for a month when a new Movie or Series that is not garbage drops. The deeper Disney gets into leftist ideology the closer I get to changing my mind about canceling Disney+ regardless of having a 3 yr old. For the first time my wife and I have decided we will not be taking a WDW vacation in 2025 of which we normally spend $8,000+ on a WDW trip easily.
If I still had kids that age, that would be the one reason I keep it. The kids still enjoy the content and it keeps them engaged when you need a minute to relax. I completely understand believe me. And one day they will regret losing your business
Are you sick of all these streaming price hikes? Will you be canceling?
im more on youtube now and days than bundles and satellite. Like the content more and finding channels like this.

I cancelled many months ago..don't miss it
That’s the way I feel I’m going to end up being too. If there is a show or something I really want to watch, I’ll just order for a month and cancel
Someone should form an organization to make Disney magical again
Hmmmm...that is a tempting proposition. Maybe one of the bigger UA-camrs can start it. I'm still just a nobody lol
Yup!,...you and me are in the exact same place. Almost word for word.

That’s exactly what I am thinking too. 99% of the stuff on Disney+ and ESPN+ I’m not really watching
The M-She_U? No thank you. I'm not woke. SWM here.

Well, unfortunately we are dropping the bundle. I will have to start going to venue's to watch the fights since I won't get my discount on the events.

Eventually I think it’s going to reverse back to people paying for cable again because they can’t carry the subscription costs of 6-7 services
Some of this just reeks of desperation on their end.
It’s so clear they are trying to pad their bottom line for year end earnings
Not desperation. Entitlement. People keep paying, they keep jacking prices
Yup...simple economics. Ridiculous.

I'll be ditching it. Not sure about others.

Yeah the shows from a few years ago were decent and worth the price of admission. Shows these days are mostly garbage and not worth it.
If you try to cancel , disney will take you to arbitration /s
HAHAHHAA. You may be right. I don't want to get sued by the mouse lol
Last year it was $139.99 to $ 159.99 a year funk that! for no ads not only does become expensive but i uses data also!

Its boring now lol
I too find a lot of the content on their boring these days. They have killed Marvel and Star Wars with over saturation.
