Audeze Maxwell, problem after purchasing new headphones.

Having purchased new Audeze Maxwell headphones, I discovered a problem, when I turn on the transparency mode without a removable microphone, my headphones begin to make a very unpleasant sound, contacting Audeze, they told me that you just need to turn off the transparency mode. The main question is, is this normal or is it still a defective product? Why disable the transparency mode, probably that's why it exists, to use it?
