Aretha’s oldest son loved Diana Ross and had her posters all over his room. She would take them to see her movies back in the day. Aretha also could do an awesome impersonation of Diana as well!!!

"I personally heard Sharon Osbourne say some really unpleasant things about Ms. Ross. It was hurtful to hear her insult Diana Ross's humanity like that. I have a different perspective on Ms. Ross. I've seen her wonderful spirit firsthand, and her daughters have always been warm and kind to me. It's disheartening to witness someone like Sharon Osbourne behaving in such a disrespectful way. When Oprah Winfrey was sitting right next to her, I could tell that she got emotional because she knew what Sharon had said about her friend/hero Diana Ross. It just makes me feel the same way Oprah did. Diana Ross deserves so much respect and admiration for her incredible talent and the positive impact she's had on countless people."

I notice Sharon Osbourne looking down when Oprah is giving praise to Diana Ross, and so she should it wasn’t so long ago on UK tv when she said unkind things about Ms Ross on two separate occasions x she wouldn’t dare berate Miss Ross in front of Oprah.

@Rachel S on one occasion she called her an awful woman with out saying why she felt that?
Then another on the UK xfactor she said she wasn’t a very good singer?
Clearly jealous of Diana for always being classy and courteous! For an awful woman who can’t sing she has adoring fans the world over and can still fill concert hall and arenas no problem! She has raised five children impeccably who adore her unconditionally! Sour grapes I think Sharon! X x

Not true. Oprah has acknowledged other Supremes, and has even mentioned “having trouble accepting Cindy” when she replaced Flo in the group. Y’all have got to stop acting like the other Supremes were not influential to people.

Oprah was influenced by Diana Ross as well as many others. Myself included. May Mary Wilson RIP . She along with others made money off of Diana Rosses name . They sold books told stories or whatever. If it wasn’t for Berry Gordy and Diana Ross were would the Supremes be ? Thank you for Diana Ross

One thing that is never spoken about is how Dionne Warwick felt about Diana Ross. Dionne had many more hit songs than Diana so you know there had to be some jealousy.

    • @francorossville7359
      @francorossville7359  8 місяців тому +6

LOL...Jealousy for what !? I think you don't follow the record charts! Dionne Warwick is one of my favorite singers but the last album of hers that I bought dates back to 1986 and since around the early 90s Ms Warwick hasn't had a hit in the charts!
Regarding Ms Ross, two things above all:
1- In 1976, Ross was named the "Female Entertainer of the XX Century" by Billboard magazine.
      2. In October 1993, in London,Diana Ross was inducted in the GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS, as " THE MOST SUCCESSFUL FEMALE MUSIC ARTIST OF ALL TIME " in history, due to her success in the United States and United Kingdom for having more hits than any female artist in the charts with a career total of 150 hits , singles and albums
In the U.S..A singles charts , Diana Ross has had 18 number one hits !
Also, Diana Ross is the only FEMALE SINGER to have received 3 PLATINUM records for singles : “ Someday will be together “, 1969 ( but certified by RIIA in August 1997 ) - “ I’m gonna make you love me “ , 1969 ( but certified by RIIA in August 1997 ) , and “ Endless Love” ( certified by RIIA in October 1981) . At the time, in USA, singles were certified platinum records for sales over 2 million copies ).
Diana Ross had a record In the UK TOP 10 in every one of the last six decades ( tha last TOP 10 was “ Thank You “ album who reached the UK charts at position number 7 on November 18, 2021) and had a top 75 hit single at least once every year from 1964 to 1996 in the UK, a period of 33 consecutive years: an absolute record for any performer .
Also in UK, Diana Ross had 29 singles in the TOP 10 , 62 singles in the TOP 40 and, in total, 86 singles in the charts and 28 ALBUMS reached the TOP 40, 13 of those the TOP 10, and 5 albums reached the number ONE position .
In UK, BPI certified to Diana Ross 12 PLATINUM records ( for 6 albums, 4 multiple platinum-“One Woman” ( 1993) album, 2 singles), 19 GOLD records ( for 15 albums and 4 singles ) and 25 SILVER records ( for 16 albums and 9 singles) .

"Hey, it seems like you're making up a lie that's just not true. Why would you do that Let's be real here, Dionne Warwick and Diana Ross are both incredibly talented and respected in the music industry. Only The Beatles have been the number one more than Diana Ross if you factor in her work with the Supremes she is arguably one of the most successful women in the music rock era. There's no jealousy between them, in fact, they've been friendly and have even celebrated each other's achievements. So let's focus on the positive and appreciate their incredible careers!"

First of all Dionne Warwick did not have many more hits than Diana Ross
Diana Ross has a total of 18 number #1 hits when she was with the Supremes she had 12 # 1 hits .some of you people have challenged IQs Diana Ross is THE number #1 black female superstar of all time . She like all stars has had ups and downs . But she is and always will be the most famous superstar of all time. She’s still here. Raised a good family.
