Hey there, great review! Personally I use HomeFi, and it has worked really well for me! I was considering Avtex, but was deterred by some negative reviews and their price point. HomeFi has been the better alternative for me and it has been great.
iv got one of these in my van as well as i do a mobile clinic but everytime i unplug the shore power i have to go onto the 194....... and reset it but in this van i only have it connected to the shore power do you have to do that as well? im currently watching you via it. my one leaks alot when you have a monsoon of rain so just keep an eye on that.
@@GamingandExploringwithRobJ The Avtex is only connected to the 12v, not the shore power. We never really plug into shore as we are totally off grid with the solar and 600ah of lithium
They claim it can support speeds of upto 150Mbps over 4G. It is also compatible with 5G sim cards. It is worth noting that 3G is being phased out also. 😊
It’s called a spigot, the cable length is too short for you as it’s designed for a motorhome. It’s rebadged Telonika routers which are some of the best. I like the Avtex tv’s but they are leveraging brand through satnav (Garmin) internet as above as caravaners and motorhomers have bottomless pockets if you look at the adds in the club magazines. Smarty sim here £20 a month unlimited data.
Struggling to see how this is any better than say a Huawei lte router and an external antenna. Which can be put together for a fraction of the price. The Avtex kit is basically made up of Chinese parts anyway with a large margin added on
As I said, im not saying its the best system out there, or the cheapest, but we decided to give it a go and found it to work very well, and we wanted to share that with those who are considering the system.
@@Two_in_transit Good video. I fitted the same Avtex System to my Caravan and it works fantastically. I was a little concerned when I had to drill a hole in the roof, but there are plenty of good videos like yours on UA-cam to show you. 👍
You couldn’t have made that sealant look any worse if you tried. 😂. Good video though
😂 Hate the stuff, its the one thing i really dont like doing

If our Avtex goes wrong then HomeFi will be one to consider, but it works fine for us at the moment. 👌
In the UK ?

Ah yesss, a spigot 👍. We managed to get 1m extensions for the cables and it just reaches where we wanted the router. 😊
Cowboy Joe from Mexico. Would not let you put a fuse in a holder
