Thank you, thank you, thank you for putting this up. I haven't seen this since the 80's and have been absolutely dying to see it again. You've made an old lady very happy!
One of my favourite Kinks tunes! I bought this on 7" vinyl from Woolworths, Chapel Market, Islington, London in 1981. The Woolworths branches sadly longer longer exist and will be sadly missed across the UK...
The Kinks are awesome. IMO there is no bad Kinks song. Maybe there is a song I like than others. But no bad Kinks song, ever. :) Ray and Dave both have a wonderful sense of humor. Just look at Ray poke fun at himself here. Also love 'em because they let it all hang out and wore their hearts on their sleeves. That's the Kinks.
This is pretty clever, moving through the decades... I especially like Ray as the long-haired hippie, watching himself on TV in a show from the 60's, LOL.
Not sure about the portrait of the woman, though it looks 20th century. If I find out, I'll email you. That's Queen Elizabeth kissing Prince Charles during his investiture as Prince of Wales in 1969 (though technically he was Prince of Wales since 1958) - just grabbed that off of Wikipedia.
"It 's harder and harder the harder I try, Feels like a Good time to Die".
This to me is the Best Kinks song of All time.
Thanks for posting.

Years later in swinging London
No it was the director of the video who was the weatherman... Julien Temple.
.... Ain't it the truth ....
Is anybody able to see - does Ray play the part of the weatherman on TV?
haha!
Yawn. Typical Ray Davies awesomeness. :)
