They had no winter gear, no winter clothing. The tanks got stuck in the deep snow due to their narrow tracks, fuel was freezing, and the soldiers didn't have adequate clothing. Russia on the other hand could bring in fresh troops from Siberia after they had found out that Japan had no plans of attacking them in Asia. These were equipped with the brand new T-34 tanks with wide tracks, allowing them to travel even through deep snow, and they had good winter clothing. Germany simply got stuck in the mud and snow of an early, rainy fall followed by an extremely harsh winter. And the Russian army and valor? The US provided the ATACM's to Ukraine along with an operator. A US military officer who controls the weapon platform and fires it. The reason for this is that the ATACM requires third party targeting systems which Ukraine does not have. So the US operator reaches out to the US military and requests targeting data for whatever they want to hit, then the US provides that data from satellites and drones. The US operator then programs in the target using that data and launches the attack.

I think it was supposed to Heading towards a base of some sort but the argument is why do it during the day when they knew people would be around and if anything went wrong there may be injury to civilians. If they where trying to hit the base then it should have been done oat night. So there is the dilemma was it an accident?
Rockets are designed to kill people. They were sent during the day in order to hit as many people as possible.
At night, missiles are typically used to hit buildings or military installations because missiles are more difficult to detect. A drone over the Black Sea was just directing a missile.

The purpose of the attack was to try to force Putin into a revenge attack, so that Zelensky could then say "look, I'm fighting a monster, we need more help".
Sadly I don't think the US will pay for this event. The fact is, no matter how ppl shit talk about NATO, it is still a very formidable military alliance and Russian will try to avoid fighting them directly, at least for now. Ukrainia is just enough trouble for Russia.

A military installation 5km away was hit. One of the Ukrainian missiles was intercepted by russian air defense. Civilians on vocation in military conflict zone when you are the aggressor, that what I call human shield.
