Now, after seeing the strength and determination of Russian military forces in Ukraine, Western politicians will have a difficult task convincing their people to get into a straight fight with Russia.
Plausible deniability can only serve the Western countries for a limited number of times.
Saying that it's Ukraines decision, but insisting on reducing the conscription age to 18 years old, or pushing Ukraine into last year's offensive in the Zaporizhzhia region, costing 100,000 Ukrainian lives in that region alone.
The USA and the EU holding the purse strings on whether Ukraine can even function as a country.
The EU returning Ukrainian men to Ukraine who were fleeing the war zone is also evidence of EU complicity in the Russia / Ukraine conflict.
The EU doesn't force refugees from other war zones around the world to return home.
The EU's facade of morality is slipping.

I have to disagree. Russia was quite willing to be on a friendly mutually beneficial basis with the West. Even so with Putin. Divorce only in getting Western carpetbaggers to share some of their greedy profits helping Russia rebound as in paying taxes etc.

The West isn't headed to disaster - Ukraine is. When the US Army outlined it's plan for the proxy war in 2019, it acknowledged that the war would be "at the expense of the Ukrainian people." They said it "could produce disproportionately large Ukrainian casualties, territorial losses, and refuge flows." But that was acceptable in order to "increase the costs to Russia, in both blood and treasure."

You should take a look at the RAND corporation (US military think tank) reports dated well before the Russians got officially involved. 2016(?) It goes to great lengths to describe the future war in Ukraine and the chief target being the EU. It hardly says anything about Ukraine if I recall, whose destruction is a given. At first, this seems puzzling, but it is a simple rule of power politics which you can find in the mafia. If you're getting weaker, you still maintain the hierarchy in your sphere of influence. So the EU, your vassal state has to be weaker still.
Bottom line, no wars of any kind, including proxy wars. They use them to funnel tax money for all types of reasons and are destructive to vassal countries. Fear mongering is a great business for the military. Look at the Eastern countries arming against China, and the EU against Russia. Russia invading the EU is ludicrous. It would be a disaster economically, militarily for both sides and in addition politically on the international scene for Russia. The US are wyrying to provoke a war between the EU and Russia in order to capitalise on its weakened planetary co-habitants. This should sound familiar to Europeans. It happened on a major scale twice before: 1913-1917 (US entered 1917) and 1939-1945 (US entered 1941).
The US funded the Bolsheviks and the Notsees into power. There are a lot of parallels w Hitler and Zelensky, except that Hitler honestly thought he had possibilities to win. Zelensky knows Ukraine can't, and doesn't care.
The one trick pony, the only thing US is interested in is their master plan. To repeat their glorious WW2 success. This trick, this sneaky strategy is so simple. Foment war and sit it out to preserve strength and profit from war then at the last, jump in as the fresh fighter while all other parties are spent then take all the spoils of war. If they can repeat that trick a second time the next 10 centuries will be American centuries. prison planet.

Russia invaded with only 90,000 troops just to make a point and never intended to seize Ukraine. It was impossible anyway as Ukraine had 450,000 well trained troops with only with limited stockpiles for a protracted war with Russia, as Russia would not quit.

Completely agree but I think Ukraine and Russia will eventually (might take a long time) join hands as they are ultimately the same people. 20 years ago nobody believed that the Chechens and Russians can be friends, but here they are fighting side by side in Ukraine. The only big loser from this conflict in the long term is the EU, US and NATO

Знаете, что самое смешное в этой ситуации, что Россия ничего из этого не планировала и не собиралась делать, она всего лишь отвечала на вызовы, перед которыми ее ставил условный Запад. Но мне всегда было непонятно, почему западные страны каждый раз наступают на одни и те же грабли - недооценивать Россию. Скорее всего, дело не в недооценке России, а в переоценке собственного величия. Просто финальной стадией этой мании каждый раз становилась вера, что вот теперь они могут победить Россию, и раз за разом проигрывают, утрачивая весь этот пафос. Россию негласно даже называют «Убийцей империй», потому что на протяжении тысячелетней истории об нее сломали зубы много подобных империй, тут и Османская империя, и Шведская с Карлом Великим, и Польская, и Французская с Наполеоном, и Немецкая с Гитлером, видимо, пришло время очередной империи)) Знаете, что русские умеют лучше всего? Дружить и воевать, но не они не делают выбор за вас.
Что же касается всей этой чуши про то, что Россия хочет захватить Украину, кстати, историю про «Захват Киева за 5 дней» придумали сами украинцы, чтобы, когда пройдет 5 дней, можно было преподнести это как победу. Но все же, верить в подобное могут только не очень критически мыслящие люди, так как банальная логика разбивает эти мифы за раз. Он прав, что захватить самую большую страну Европы, с 5-й по силе армией Европы, с 40-миллионным населением, и которых США готовили к вооруженному конфликту с Россией 8 лет, с армией в 190 тысяч солдат просто невозможно. Но на самом деле, и без этого было понятно, что цель России совершенно в другом. Посмотрите на карту и размер России, и поймите, что России вообще не нужны дополнительные территории. Почитайте, что говорил Путин на протяжении последних 20 лет, про безопасность, про НАТО, про нейтральный статус не только Украины, но еще Грузии и других бывших республик, и вы поймете, что главным было именно обеспокоенность России, что НАТО, вопреки уговорам, вопреки обеспокоенности, неуклонно приближалась к границам России. Вот в чем основная проблема конфликта России и Запада, в угрозе безопасности России.
Некоторые скажут, что НАТО не угрожает России и это в качестве обороны стран НАТО. Ну, значит, вы плохо знаете историю. НАТО был организован как оборонительный альянс против СССР, и таковым и являлся до 1991 года, что подтверждается тем фактом, что за все годы холодной войны, примерно 50 лет, НАТО не участвовало ни в одной военной операции. Но в 1991 году распался СССР, и надобность в НАТО по сути отпала, но вот в чем проблема, за следующие 30 лет НАТО участвовало в десятках военных операций, превратив его из оборонительного союза в пролонгацию силы на другие страны. И когда вы смотрите на происходящее, когда США, как лидер НАТО, устроил кучу военных конфликтов в Ираке, Сирии, Ливии, Афганистане, бомбил Белград, и все это под выдуманным предлогом, то расширение этого альянса к вашим границам просто не может не беспокоить. Более того, это США планомерно выходила из всех договоров по коллективной безопасности, по противовоздушной обороне, по размещению ракет малой и средней дальности, по свободному небу и так далее. Еще раз, не Россия выходила, а США. Не говоря уже о том, что американских политиков много раз ловили на лжи, начиная от обещаний Горбачеву не расширять НАТО или причиной военной операции в Ираке с мнимым оружием массового поражения, и заканчивая последними, как Минские договоренности, которые служили лишь ширмой для вооружения Украины и срывом Стамбульских переговоров. И надо быть слепым, глухим или идиотом, чтобы продолжать верить в чушь из той статьи, которую прочитал автор этого канала.

In the 1990s there was a military training for ex-Warsaw Pact/would-be NATO members coming from Eastern Europe - including Hungary. The training took place in USA. My mum was there as a language teacher who had to learn the US military technical terms (and forget the Russian ones) as soon as possible. They also received kind of "ideological" preparation. The highlight of which was the analysis of "The Hunt for Red October", a Hollywood action movie (on the NATO military basis!!!). In this movie the whole Russian navy was depicted as a bunch of man-eating lunatics and the American army officers expected the Eastern European military personnel to believe that the Russians are actually like they are shown in the movie. The East Europeans denied it in unison. Some of them even broke out laughing in unison. They all had first-hand experience with the Soviet Army, unlike the NATO officers.
But for the Americans this was the desirable belief because since the Soviet Union ceased to exist, the US have prepared to attack the Russian heartland. (George Soros rushed to propose that this attack should be carried out by East European manpower because the body bags stuffed with Western soldiers would be too shocking for the Western countries.) And so the ideological brainwashing had to begin for the Eastern Europeans. It did not go well, plus, the military actions against Russia were postponed for many years anyway.
Now, when it is topical again, the only question remaining is how the hell it is possible that a former USSR member state, Ukraine did not know about the Russians what the rest of the Eastern Europeans knew and said all along that the Russians are not psychopats and not cannibals but reasonable and serious strategists? How come that the Ukrainian political elite (Zelensky and Co.) fell for the US narrative? That is fatal irresponsibility and the betrayal of their own people!
