      5 hours to open the building. Managers want speed or you don't make the cut. Then if someone get's hurt they'll blame it on speed and lower it again.

    Michigan location. we only have extinguishers on two lifts. the other five are bare bones. including mine lol. extinguisher in the end messes with my view.

    what location was this at? Just curious. At our (Costco) warehouse, we don't have extinguishers on the lifts. I guess that in one of the MW buildings, an extinguisher fell off of the bracket and fell in such a way that the thing shot down an empty aisle towards a bulk wall.

    Can the lift equipment be operated during store hours? Is the safety procedures similar to that of The Home Depot where you must have a spotter and close the adjacent aisle you dropping down a pallet

    • @michaelorozco1379

      Yes , the forklifts can and are used during store hours . The procedures are the same as you described but normally we have 2 spotters . One leading and one trailing.

    Safety speed is 5.6 they need to reduce this lift speed from 12 miles to 5.6 Costco’s rules.

    Has there ever been an accident or fk up at that place? Like if someone were to damage inventory would they get fired on the spot? Lol, at one of my old jobs we fucked up a lot of inventory but we just stay quiet and it's all good unless it's major damage.

    it looks more like a Pacer more than a Fork lift? The only thing i drive is a Reach Truck at The Home Depot

    • @xis6969

      Home Depot is so sketchy. They have absolutely no forklift safety and have tried to cover serious accidents with their team of lawyers.

      Its safty. I had to do the same with a walk behind lift truck. Horn, if youre either going forward or backwards through a door, everything down low, forks back. Announce and stop at aisle ends.. its a pain, but its better than killing somebody....Hell, even lowes and home depot block aisles while the lift is there and require another person to help guide despite the beeping as noone pays attention.

      You obviously don't have a fork ticket

    • @TehJMastuh
      @TehJMastuh 4 роки тому +3

      OSHA Requires that you stop and honk at every intersection. And to slow down and honk for pedestrians. The continuous beeps you’re hearing is equipped on these type of forklifts because they are used on sales floor around customers and it alerts them that there’s a PIT coming through and operating.
      You will see at a lot of places, there is usually two spotters. One behind, and in front. And when the machine is in an aisle, it will be temporarily roped off for customer safety to prevent serious accidents or injuries. :)
