Gotta strike while the iron is hot, can't blame you for taking one last crack at it. You are just one dedicated prep away from greatness bro.
Dude's hit greatness a long time ago ;)
@@sheboman19 no doubt, but a 505 would make history
dude started with greatness lol@@sheboman19
It takes gear I mean years
@@yaslerfujIt wouldn’t be recognised as the record unless it was conventional. Especially in the strongman community.
It's actually absurd how easy it moves off floor at this point. It's half a ton ffs.
half a kiloton
@@PowerliftingAndPhysics 500 tons?
@@abdouaboud7490 Sure bud
a kiloton is 1000tons@@PowerliftingAndPhysics , its half a ton
@@PowerliftingAndPhysicsacting smart and got that name yet you’re still wrong lmao. Kilo means 1000. It’s half a ton
Not only is Jamal getting stronger, but he's also getting so much more comfortable on camera. Love it 🔥
No one can complain on that sumo. Its almost still a full normal deadlift range. It just suits your body better
Still more range of motion that some people's conventional
Key word being almost. I'm not saying it's not impressive, it's just not the same as a normal deadlift and shouldn't be counted as such.
In terms of it being an impressive sumo yeah, in terms of it being the same as conventional no. Range of motion isn't even the big issue which is still an issue, but you use different parts of your legs when you do sumo, so yeah it's a different lift from putting more emphasis on slightly different areas. Like a bicep curl compared to a hammer curl, still curls, but still different
@@bulletproof1581the same way as the squat when you do it with your feet close together or wide open, or the bench press, when you do it with your hands close together or farther apart. Muscles will be activated differently but that is not the point of the lift. The point is lifting the weight from a certain point up to a certain point and back. And that is specially true if we're letting people use straps or even hook grip, that dont demand superhuman forearm muscles.
@@Tomm5997 bro some people have less rom on conventional deadlift than jamal on sumo
Good to see JamalVault back in action
I’ll never be disappointed at watching your DL vids. Like even if you fail it’s still so astounding to me that you can move this weight so easily
Appreciate all the hard work you put in for these massive deadlifts ❤
You'll get it! It's right there. I'm excited for you champ!
Really proud of you Jamal. Been watching you since December of last year. It’s amazing of how much you have improved.😎😊💚
Didn’t look like a good day, even 420 wasn’t going that smooth from spectators view.
I would definitely say it’s possible if you hit a good day.
Incredible how strong you are 🙏
We love raw training footage and hearin u walk us thru ur workouts
Your strength is insane! RESPECT 💪💪
Everybody know you can do it!
building it little by little,
lets go man! 💪🏼
Inspiring stuff brother. I look forward until you come full circle. Enjoy your vacation.
A wise person once said to me if your goals don't scare you, then they are not big enough goals. Jamal, the weights you want to lift scare the sh@t out of me. Stay healthy while achieving your goals, and keep on inspiring.
Waiting for JamalVault to upload to I can rewatch this.
You're doing awesome homie
That was amazing. Way stronger than anyone right now. You will get it!
THanks for the video!
That’s so fun ! I missed 280kg yesterday and can’t imagine how brutal 505 must feel !
Nice effort
You are going to get this!
Editing was CRAZY in this vid!!
Close AF! The speed off the ground is amazing!
love you jamal❤
WOOOOO explosive speed off the ground!!!
This is what everyone who works out live for, that PR! No matter what age or weight it’s a great feeling
You blasted it off the floor. Thats crazy enough. I think you got it soon!!
Just a Ton of ❤️ you got this.
jamal vault***
What's the Jamal Vault?
Your speed off the ground is no problem, the issue is when your quads are out of the lift and your back takes over. Your back is weak relative to your leg drive. I think if you did lots of elevated deadlifts 13”/15”/18” and focused on back strengthening without leg drive that will help get 1000lb+ conventional and 500kg+ sumo.
I just did this exact same thing and my deadlift is blowing up.
You'll do it, man, we all believe in you, just give it some time
The man who is gonna be the man
U will get it dude, u will
The Avancus Jamal 1s look fire
Que impresionante Jamal sos toda una inspiración a mejorar, espero poder llegar a la mitad de lo que estás levantando saludos de Argentina 🇦🇷
Going by that speed you WILL get it next time. Just keep at it
Jo Jamal, you are already that strong, but showing your misses makes you even stronger. Trying, failing and succes is life. Enjoy your vacation!
Please do a deadlift only equipped meet you could finally bring the deadlift record back to powerlifting for the first time in like 30 years
It would still be a sumo pull though. The deadlift record must be a conventional pull but I don't make the rules.
@vvoof2601 if its a equipped powerlifting meet, which is what i meant, it would be allowed, and you could apply the same logic and say strongman records arent legit bcuz they use figure 8 straps which are banned in powerlifting
@@derrickisgolden4337which powerlifting meet allows straps?
@@allylilith5605 an equipped meet, but figure 8 straps arent allowed either way
fk love u bro
Well done! Would dry a weight suit? Just for training ❤?
Jamal looks like Gyro Zepelli when he smiles lol
much love
dude 505 is so close... after this vacation, a lot of good food and sleep, I think you'll be able to crush it!
Keep the conventional going. Also try the stiff bar. It would be awesome to see what you could do that way💪🏼
I had some red oasics wrestling shoes
A few years ago I gotta get some again soon
I feel you I felt unstoppable
Would prefer more of a vlog style video instead of the music video type. Seeing the warm ups would be cool
You deserve that vacation bro. Do some colabs and shit!
I’m 8 weeks post Achilles rupture and this had me inspired today! Squatted 295lbs and maxed out the leg extensions machine!!🦵🏽
Im excited because i know its gonna happen 100% but will it officially beat Thors WR ? Or do you have to have conventional stance ?
💪🏻💪🏻
Lets go 🏋♂️
Be patient, you can do it
damn bro thats crazy
You can do it bro.
Now imagine if he wear a deadlift suit 🔥🔥
One last attempt for the 505Kg Deadlift after your vacation ... You are almost there so just get it done man❗💯
go for the world record
5:06 Jamal has the same reaction as me to failing a deadlift pr
we'll all be here when you get the 505, its inevitable. keep at it jamal and have a great vacation!
Jamal is just insanely strong
Insanely full of gear also. He is strong, but come on
@@tuty4amxxyou really think hopping on gear will get you to this level? Lmao
I have a feeling that if he tries on the Kabuki instead of the texas 510 can move easy
Yo I believe you can get the wr. Although I'd suggest you take Eddie Hall's advice. I've seen a video of him saying that he trained for the world record by doing a lot of recovery and resting like 10 days between deadlifting really heavy. And that he reduced this necessary rest time by doing active recovery like ice and hot stuff. I recommend watching that video if you haven't already done so or implemented the advice.
38 baby for the 505, what a legend
Still Solid bro!
That shit flies off the ground.
Time to grind out some rack pulls and get that lockout to 505+
You will get there man.
Try it with the suit!!!!
When are you going to try Strongman?
yes
Hitted my 170kg PR today, can’t imagine this power 🔥
Good job bro. My PR is 188kg
Good job bro. My PR is 188kg
@@THECREW781 that’s insane, what is your bodyweight?
Have no doubt you will pull 505 Jamal. Your Commerce crew pulling for you!
I think Jamal maybe have a record for lifting 1000lbs more than anyone else he may lift a 1000lbs atleast 5 times and to do that shit is ridiculous
Of COURSE he tried it again haha
Try for a massive power clean ❤
Piece of advice Jamal and it's something that almost no lifters no about, but your sticking point, so that exact range of your motion where it feels crappy, that needs to be trained, so where your lift starts to feel difficult is where you should start a block pull deadlift from, and where it stops feeling difficult is where you should finish a block pull deadlift. This is to be done half the time along side your full range of motion deadlifts. The best training that's most effective in the same kinda way, is not using a leg press that you can put a shit tonne of plates on, but deliberately using a leg press that feels heavier with way less weight, something about being able to apply more force to your legs in this way actually makes you stronger, and it's the same with targeting sticking points specifically, yes it will feel crappy and it will be extra effort, but that's the point just like a somehow heavier leg press. I'm an elite level lifter for anyone who is wondering, I'm just an unknown in the lifting world. Hope this helps who ever reads this :)
with a block pull you dont truly get in the same position as your sticking point. ivan Makarov is probably the best example of a deadlift sticking point and his is trying since 4years to fix it with block pulls without visible progress. if anything he got even faster off the floor but still gets stuck despite block pulling 550kg through his sticking point
@@allylilith5605 Yes but he's not doing them correctly that's why :') you don't just pick a block pull of any height, so for instance if you've never had any issues locking out your deadlift, then doing really high block pulls and working on your lockout is a pointless choice of block pull, because you don't have an issue there that needs fixing. Ivan Makarov's sticking point specifically starts half way up his shin, and ends just above his knee, so he needs to do really low height block pulls, so he literally starts with the deadlift half way up his shin already, he pulls from there, and when the bar gets just above his knee he drops the bar. Block pulls have to be super super specific to the sticking point you have or they won't work much :P
Hey brother please try to conventional deadleft.
Just a little bit better day and it’s there. 👍🏻 505 is already inside you.
Two attempts in less than a week bet your cns can’t wait for the holiday!
Rest up big dog
This is so gonna fall if you are fully peaked🔥
whats the name of the song: 1:50
510 kg this year 🏅 i believe u
wow, 505kg leaves the floor before the blink but stucks at knees before lockout! Jamal Do you think "hips" are the culprit here? ❤
🌶️
try 540 off bocks every few weeks ,will make the 505 feel lighter
I do conventional and have done sumo for shits and giggles twice. But mad respect you can get 950lbs conventional. Might be 960lbs now though just a guess
I'm a huge follower of strongman and what u are already pulling is insane. The 1000 lb club is pretty exclusive in itself
My recommendation is to not try in less than 2 weeks break. That much is needed for recovery from these kind of pulls unless u do a scientific regimen of cryotherapy and nutrition and extended sleep etc.
Ago for 502. Yes just 3 kgs less than 505 but 1 above Thor's world record and 2 above Eddie hall
Are you going to try it conventional?
You absolutely have 505. I mean not in this video on this day, but that's bc you tried 510 a few days before. You got this man, go straight for 505 next time you yolo
I think its a psychological thing. Im sure that physically you CAN get it, but something in you mind is uncertain about that, so if you were to work on that i am dead sure that its possible. We all believe in you!
I think that training conventional definitely made you stronger.
lmao welcome to lifting vault
DAMN! I thought he had it. One thing though, Jamal probably does the hardest type of Sumo out of the top Sumo guys. He doesn’t put his feet anywhere near the plates which makes him have to pull the weight about a good 12-14 inches off the ground and makes it harder. Some of those other top guys will literally have there toes about half an inch from the plates which makes them only have to pull the weight about 2-3 feet inches off the ground and also makes it considerably easier.
Everybody has different leverages. That's probably where he feels strongest.
Song?
Nbhd Nick - Oh Em Gee
Pushing to the limit tada ta da
Just get to 275 and it's yours king
Wtf dude you’re so close 😮
you managed to lift those 505 above ground higher than anyone on this Earth! Next time you will be the 1st to lock it there!
Pound for pound you have to be the worlds strongest deadlift
Funny, i dont see a deadlift
@@Klepzeiker1984 must be looking at your own uploads
@@RafaelDeLaTorre_ are you really that stupid, sumo is not a deadlift and it never will be
Give it a couple of weeks in between max dead lifts Eddie hall discovered your body needs 9-11 days when you do a max deadlift.
In my mind, you have 3 goals in DL,conventional 1000lbs(with strap),sumo 510kg(with strap)and 470 kg (without strap).Besides,I actually want to see you big progress in Bp.😀
505 is in the books. You just haven't done Sumo in a while. You'll get it this year 100%.
We wanna see the “Road to a 600 kg deadlift” Series.
In Jamal Browner we BELEAVE!
Might wanna check that spelling, big dawg.
