So my friend told me about a potential villain for code geass season 3 Lelouch thinks he's been playing chess but the new villain is playing poker or blackjack. What do I mean. My friend and I suggested that the season 3 villain could be like the Joker from the Dark Knight, or if a code bearer, Pennywise from It or Kefka from Final Fantasy. A villain that rather than plays chess, instead flips the chess board and doesn't play by the rules, who loves only chaos and war. there's also a gundam villain who reminds of a similar character. What do you think?
it's not a military enemy, it's terrorists... they could be part of a larger organization but in all the explosions you can clearly see it was civilian locations
You missed something..... the placement of the bullet dents on the mask. There on the eye mechanism, meaning who ever was shooting knew that the person in the mask leluche and also possible has knowledge about geass. So I think that the events that are taking place, in r3 are to lure out the real zero.
I doubt I will dislike it, I mean, the characters are the strength of CG and the characters are the same. But still, it is impossible for it not to feel like a blatant cashgrab.
If it makes you feel better as far as i know from interviews R3 was planned from start. I'm pretty sure it's just coming out after all these years because Sunrise (company) didn't believe this series would succeed this much. I mean if it weren't for Sunrise we would have 50 episode R1 and 50 episode R2 without any time lapse.
I'm worried for R3. I just finished Code Geass and I think that it had the best ending in all of anime. I just think that continuing the story will ruin it for me
You have to remember both Suzaku and Lelouch are "officially dead" in that universe and so it is not weird that suzaku is Zero... BECAUSE HE IS ZERO after Lelouchs "death". Only a few people know theyre still alive. Also note that Lancelot Albion only had 6 Energy wings because Suzaku couldnt handle the 8 Wings of the Guren Seiten. That was why in the battle of tokyo he used the Lancelot with Fleija instead of the Saiyan Guren. But in the trailer it seems to be a Lancelot Albion with 8 Energy wings which could have either 4 meanings: 1) The pilot is Kallen 2) Suzaku can now handle it 3) Could be a Black Knights/Britannian Ace Pilot like Li Xinke if he hasnt died yet or 4) Theres an enemy Ace Pilot who can handle it
I have a problem with your interpretation of the scene with Lelouch and C2. First, hey are not using horses, but camels. This mean they are in a desert. You can also see the sand underneath them. I don't call that comfort. They wouldn't go in such a place without a good reason. I think they are looking for something. Second, I think it has something to do with the giant structure carved in stone behind them. I think they are searching the remains of an ancient civilisation. After all, you said yourself there is a link berween the Code and ancient temples. Also, seing Suzaku in his military uniform tells me he might not be the one wearing the Zero mask.
P.S. = why you will want to read this- THEORY FOR THE WHOLE TRAILER AND *WHY THE VILLAIN HAS A GEASS* it makes perfect sense to me though. The world is peaceful, but another, possibly a code geass user attacks- and since the world is in an era of peace, it isn't prepared for the incoming chaos- and goes on a rampage, which possibly explains all the explosions. The Chinese Federation had probably gotten a whiff of it, and thus sent some people dressed like civilians to gather intel. But, the elusive villain gets to know of their plans and eliminates them. Kaguya is hence informed of their deaths, from the tensed expression on her face. Suzaku then prepares for the battle, as he wears his zero outfit and launches his Lancelot. He is joined by others, like Kallen and others to the fight. As he is under the mask, no one knows he's actually Suzaku living on as Zero (this is even more probable as Lelouch handed the task of maintaining world peace to Suzaku, and he told him to live on as Zero, and surface whenever need arises and the world needs a saviour). On the rooftop, he is either running away from the enemy, or going over to encounter it (I have a strong feeling it's a girl). Then, he gets beaten, judging from the bullet marks, and escapes. The scene of jumping off from the train might be to indicate this. I can't understand why he's in a Knight of Rounds uniform, but that might be done by the writers to avoid a costume design process, or it maybe a flashback. Now, for the last part. C2 and Lelouch probably were living peacefully in the countryside, but when Lelouch gets to know about the new threat that even Suzaku lost to, and when he researched further, he probably got to know that the enemy was a lot more formidable than he thought- and a probable geass user (I will explain why I think so in a second). So, he was probably like- "My, my. Guess it's time for me to intervene.", and joins the party. On the other hand, Cornelia herself investigates the villain. It is this time that she probably encounters the ruins. My guess is that it was guarded by some people, whom she killed to get to the point where the actual research was going on. Now, the villain had probably gotten her geass from these people researching it. That is my reasoning for why she has the geass. Why they would be researching the Geass? Because, as was told, ruins in the world of Code Geass generally relate to the geass. What you said about C2 and Lelouch fits perfectly, as as I said before, Lelouch had also started to research the villain again, and in doing so, ended up here in this ruin where he probably figured that the villain has a geass. Or, it could be that Lelouch and C2 were living separated from the normal world in this ruin or some other place where no one else could enter or you needed a code to do so. When the threat arrived, they came back into the real world. This might be when Jeremiah senses Lelouch. Now, back to Cornelia. The villain somehow got to know that Cornelia was onto them- and the moment she saw the ruin, she erased all evidence by probably killing all of the scientists, as she didn't need them anymore anyways. Or, some experiment on the geass might have gone eerie. Nevertheless, it seemed like Cornelia was confronted by the villain and then had a battle with her, which cornelia most likely lost. Jeremiah could 've been so worked up because someone was attacking him somehow, because he might have been the loyal guard of Lelouch who guarded him even when he lived in the countryside by living close by in some orange farm. BTW, the scene of Suzku jumping from some kind of knight mare frame also had the background of the orange farm, the same one where Jeremiah and Anya were when R2 ended. (dunno what that means)
Quick correction, Suzaku wouldn't just don "the old" zero outfit, it's what he now adorns as a default. His life for as long as he lives is dedicated to enforcing Lelouch's hard fought peace as Zero. There is no more Suzaku, Suzaku is dead; only Zero lives on out of the two of them.
i was thinking about the villian being a clone of lelounch.Remember Julius The Fabulous Eyepatch.Well what if the Emperoror was afraid that Lelounch was going to regain his memories so he decided to gather data from the geassed Lelounch to create a new clone and get rid of the normal Lelounch.And after that failed and Julius was gone earlier than expected they weren t able to finish the project.And now the clone Julius wants revenge on Lelounch or wants to become Lelounch(This theory does have plot holes but hey,whatever they do it sure as hell was not planned so) XD
Crack theory! The threat that the world is fighting in R3 is Megumin! Why else would everything we see be exploding? Also, minor gripe, you said the things CC and Lelouch were riding were horses, but they're clearly camels. No horse looks like that.
RonnocFroop Lelouch isn't riding anything because he's fucking dead! How many times do you fans need to be told this?? Code theory has been REFUTED time and time again by u/GeassedByLelouch. REFUTED. The authors, as well as C.C. IN THE DIALOGUE TO THE DVD ENDING, CONFIRMED IT. *DEAD.* NOT immortal. He will be revived in R3 but right now he is most certainly dead. No doubt about it.
Couple of things you missed. 1) The Zero helmet has been melted, not shot. The helmet isn't bulletproof and one of the spikes off the rear has clearly been melted. 2) Cornelia appears to be on Kamine Island as the sword in the forest bares heavy resemblance to the sword Suzaku went to kill Charles with. 3) When Suzaku is in his military uniform he is on Jeremiahs orange farm and actually appears to be on some form of rocket sled (as seen by the track it comes off of) 4) I doubt that the wagon we see in the desert is the same one from the ending. In the ending we see trees, grass and more importantly, a donkey 5) The Knightmare from the water is likely Suzaku, Lelouch or C2 as they all had a tendency to fly like that in their knightmare, it also bears a heavy resemblance to the one Lelouch used to pilot.
I think you're mostly correct except for the part about Lelouch and C.C I think it's likely that they would try to erase geass from the world by destroying the "ruins" which might also explain the explosion in the shot with Cornelia.
I felt like the video's should have all come together to a common theme of the video.. but then i noticed just how many people were in it.. and was like.. Nope! Impossible. Now i see why everyone does something different.
Lelouch also promised to be the one to end CC's "accumulation of experience" with a smile on her face as opposed to how Charles was going to take it. Yet he didn't kill her even though he was able to after his Geass became powerful. I think C.C might die after all in the next season. Just saying.
Well I always saw it as he granted her original wish to be loved. The original ending implied to me that they would go off and spend eternity together and maybe step back into the world if it it got ffed up enough again to try to fix it. So you know they'd be like guardians of the world. However now that we are getting another season I think it's possible that C2 may die. Someone may steal her code. I don't know that she would ask Lelouch to kill her anymore now that she regained the will to live.
She took back that wish, realizing that she still had more to live for, and that Lelouch cared for her and that she cared for him. She no longer wishes to die. But it still is possible if someone were to steal her code, as someone already mentioned.
8:55 I see that you have great waifu taste. C.C. is top tier I'm hyped for R3 and hope it lives up. Doubt the ending of R3 will be as good as the ending of R2 but hey you never know, Code Geass is an anime full of suprises.

TBH, I'm apprehensive about the new season. The s2 wrapped up nicely, so having another season coming off like cashing in on its popularity, and I hope that's not the case.
I'd like to ask a question and point something out that you didn't say in your 2 theories. Did the creators of Code Geass officially name Season 3 as R3 or did the community do it? From what I know, season 3 is called "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection", without R3. Because there is something interesting about season 2 being named R2. It obviously doesn't come from Rebellion as season 1 is called "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion" without R1, so the "R" in R2 being Rebellion would be nonsense. But as your first theory was wide-known long before you posted that video, people noticed something else: the 2 owners of Code that we see in the anime are called CC and VV, read as C2 and V2. We can assume C and V come from the inital letter of their names. As L written in english is read R in Japanese (and we can hear that Lelouch's name is read with a kind of combination between R and L), it would make sense that season 2 is called R2 as he gets the Code and becomes RR, or R2 as it is read. But if season 3 is officially called R3, I don't know how to interpret that.
Great analyses on the trailer. I do hope that we get a better trailer in the future because this one was pretty vague. R3 plot wise is still a mystery but I have a feeling that Australia might be involved.
Mao did have a house there ("a white, immaculate, special house"), and in one of the credits sequences (can't remember which, maybe Mosaic Kakera?) there is a shot of C.C. on a cliffside looking over the sea at a white mansion. The kicker? She's wearing the clothes from the ending of R2.
I think you missed a couple of things about the Knightmares. From the shiloutte that launched during the shot of the ships, it looks like the Shinkiro and also the Shinkiro's projectile fired from it. Also Suzaku piloting that Purple Lancelot Albion wouldn't make any sense as it would give away the identity of the new Zero, during his fight with the Knights of The Round, Lancelot Albion's debut was broadcasted to the entire world. I suspect that someone else is piloting the reconstructed Albion. I think someone is trying use the identity of Zero to destabilze world peace.

Everbody need to watch spin off Akito The Exiled. There are still a bunch of potential major villains left in EU campaign & yes including Geass related. So I wouldn't be surprised if there will be overlapping characters from main & spin off. This isn't including a major technology that could change the war strategy.
I know Marianne is gone, but I'm going to take a guess that because Anya is in that shot immediately before we see distressed Jerimiah, that something something has to do with Anya being a vessel for Marianne previously. Maybe Marianne used Anya to bring Jerimiah to C's World. But if Jerimiah's Geass' Cancelor completely neutralized any influence Marianne had over Anya... maybe it didn't? Who was responsible for constructing Jerimiah's Geass Cancelor in the first place? V.V.? Charles? Marianne herself? If Geass power is related to the collective unconscious itself, then maybe the Geass Cancelor has its own limits?
I don't think Suzaku re-donned the Zero Suit. 1. He faked his death, if he revealed he was alive, that's be more than a bit awkward. 2. Lelouch said being Zero was Suzaku's redemption and curse, he's forced to keep playing the part. 3. I wanna see how Suzaku plays the part of Zero, I hope we get to see it.
Here is my opinion: The new enemy is a fake zero with terrorist organization, or the new geass user, mimicking zero. They struck Suzaku beforehand (hence damaged helmet) to replace the original one and started their attack. Miss Kaguja would react strongly if someone will tell her, that zero suddenly turned to evil. Then the Zero, who is jumping on pipes maybe the fake one (Suzaku is not the only one with great abilities) The mech in night sky is a Shinkirou with crystal weapon. Is it a new one? Maybe. Geremiah still has a geass canceler, so he is the worst enemy to geass user. And that pound could be an illusion cast on him. Plus his and Anya's clothes are the same from the old times, so it adds, that it's an illusion (they would not wear them anymore, since Anya is not a knight of number and Jeremiah will not serve anyone except Lelouch) So Jeremiah may be fighting to cancel the illusion (hence electrical currents) Suzaku rushing on a jet train could be a moment, when he recovered from first attack and trying to get back. Since his zero outfit was destroyed he used his old knight's set. It's just Lelouch will not come back just because of some conflict. It needs to be something BIG, like seeing a fake Zero on screen talking about eradicating Nunnally as she was the child of Tyrant Emperor/sister of a tyrant brother.
I have a theory that ,maybe Leuloush have used his geass on everyone as his power now has grown so he can use then on anyone many times.People saw him die was just an illusion.He may have tricked the broadcast somehow as he has done it earlier many times.
This has all probably been brought up, but: 1. The robes they're wearing inplies middle eastern origin, there's a couple of people wearing headscarves and the architecture is very Arabian. It could be China, but that being said: 2. The Chinese Federation was broken up for the creation of the UFN. It would be the United States of China. 3. Suzaku was announced dead after the battle of the Damocles and he would be remember as the monster that helped Lelouch claim power. He *had* to be zero, because being out in public as himself would probably have caused a panic. The only people that would probably accept his existence are the royals and ex-leaders of the Black Knights who figured out the Zero Requirem. What's even more puzzling is to see him in his Britiannian uniform in that one shot we do see him. Would the public accept his existence? Could they blame everything he did on Lelouch too?
Hype/10. I need to find that trailer. I was always on the Lulu lived side. The ending was amazing with either outcome. He just never left anything unfinished. And he promised to make C2 smile and knew the only real way to do that.
i feel that if the lelouch having the code theory is correct, then suzaku must know. he was there with c.c. when lelouch came up with the plan for his "death". if suzaku does know that lelouch is immortal, than this is how i think the new season will go down: after being defeated by the new threat, suzaku knows that there is only one man who is capable of taking it on, so he goes out and tries to find lelouch and get him to become zero again. it will be like the anime version of the force awakens.

it seemed to me that lelouch was researching the ancient ruins as well and that whatever new threat has come is something to do with geass but i'm not sure i doubt a there is a human faction that could compete with the allied nations so i can only assume that it must be a inter dimensional threat either that or Australia has decided to take its place as Ruler of the world
I always thought that a good antagonist for R3 would be some terrorist group seeking to revive Lelouch for God knows why. And then the main plot twist is that CC is the leader, who has gone mad in her desire to reunite with him.
I mean it just sucks how season 2 ended im glad they are making a season 3 because having the main character give up and accept death isn't a good ending.
Hey, I've got some questions which are spoilers for CLANNAD and CLANNAD: Afterstory *SPOILERS* The ending always made me feel a little uneasy. Why is Ushio sleeping there? Why did she look the town's embodiment for a second? Is Fuko still somewhat of a phantom, and that's why she saw Ushio as the other Ushio for a second? Did Fuko even see her as the town's embodiment? Why is she sleeping next to the tree used for all of the cards with the name of the episode? A lot of these questions go unanswered, and someone really needs to find out the answers. I think I'm over thinking. But that's why we should get a season three. Whatever, it's been like 50 years, so I'm not expecting a season three anytime soon, or ever.

When he is killing lelouche at the end of R2 lelouche obtains immortality and the full effect of his father/V2's Code meaning that he can give Geass powers out. He then says his peace to suzaku about how he will have to live and fight for justice and be zero blah blah blah and suzaku says this Geass I will accept. So maybe without suzaku realizing it in that moment he has accepted a geass power from lelouche

What you said about C2 and Lelouch fits perfectly, as as I said before, Lelouch had also started to research the villain again, and in doing so, ended up here in this ruin where he probably figured that the villain has a geass. Or, it could be that Lelouch and C2 were living separated from the normal world in this ruin or some other place where no one else could enter or you needed a code to do so. When the threat arrived, they came back into the real world. This might be when Jeremiah senses Lelouch. Now, back to Cornelia. The villain somehow got to know that Cornelia was onto them- and the moment she saw the ruin, she erased all evidence by probably killing all of the scientists, as she didn't need them anymore anyways. Or, some experiment on the geass might have gone eerie. Nevertheless, it seemed like Cornelia was confronted by the villain and then had a battle with her, which cornelia most likely lost. Jeremiah could 've been so worked up because someone was attacking him somehow, because he might have been the loyal guard of Lelouch who guarded him even when he lived in the countryside by living close by in some orange farm. BTW, the scene of Suzku jumping from some kind of knight mare frame also had the background of the orange farm, the same one where Jeremiah and Anya were when R2 ended. (dunno what that means)
Jeremiah might have been attacked to be able to take his Geass Canceller to free Schnizel from Lelouch’s geass.

Couple of things you missed.
1) The Zero helmet has been melted, not shot. The helmet isn't bulletproof and one of the spikes off the rear has clearly been melted.
2) Cornelia appears to be on Kamine Island as the sword in the forest bares heavy resemblance to the sword Suzaku went to kill Charles with.
3) When Suzaku is in his military uniform he is on Jeremiahs orange farm and actually appears to be on some form of rocket sled (as seen by the track it comes off of)
4) I doubt that the wagon we see in the desert is the same one from the ending. In the ending we see trees, grass and more importantly, a donkey
5) The Knightmare from the water is likely Suzaku, Lelouch or C2 as they all had a tendency to fly like that in their knightmare, it also bears a heavy resemblance to the one Lelouch used to pilot.
I think you're mostly correct except for the part about Lelouch and C.C I think it's likely that they would try to erase geass from the world by destroying the "ruins" which might also explain the explosion in the shot with Cornelia.

Lelouch also promised to be the one to end CC's "accumulation of experience" with a smile on her face as opposed to how Charles was going to take it. Yet he didn't kill her even though he was able to after his Geass became powerful. I think C.C might die after all in the next season. Just saying.

Well I always saw it as he granted her original wish to be loved. The original ending implied to me that they would go off and spend eternity together and maybe step back into the world if it it got ffed up enough again to try to fix it. So you know they'd be like guardians of the world. However now that we are getting another season I think it's possible that C2 may die. Someone may steal her code. I don't know that she would ask Lelouch to kill her anymore now that she regained the will to live.
She took back that wish, realizing that she still had more to live for, and that Lelouch cared for her and that she cared for him. She no longer wishes to die. But it still is possible if someone were to steal her code, as someone already mentioned.

I'd like to ask a question and point something out that you didn't say in your 2 theories. Did the creators of Code Geass officially name Season 3 as R3 or did the community do it? From what I know, season 3 is called "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection", without R3. Because there is something interesting about season 2 being named R2. It obviously doesn't come from Rebellion as season 1 is called "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion" without R1, so the "R" in R2 being Rebellion would be nonsense. But as your first theory was wide-known long before you posted that video, people noticed something else: the 2 owners of Code that we see in the anime are called CC and VV, read as C2 and V2. We can assume C and V come from the inital letter of their names. As L written in english is read R in Japanese (and we can hear that Lelouch's name is read with a kind of combination between R and L), it would make sense that season 2 is called R2 as he gets the Code and becomes RR, or R2 as it is read. But if season 3 is officially called R3, I don't know how to interpret that.

I think you missed a couple of things about the Knightmares. From the shiloutte that launched during the shot of the ships, it looks like the Shinkiro and also the Shinkiro's projectile fired from it. Also Suzaku piloting that Purple Lancelot Albion wouldn't make any sense as it would give away the identity of the new Zero, during his fight with the Knights of The Round, Lancelot Albion's debut was broadcasted to the entire world. I suspect that someone else is piloting the reconstructed Albion. I think someone is trying use the identity of Zero to destabilze world peace.

Everbody need to watch spin off Akito The Exiled. There are still a bunch of potential major villains left in EU campaign & yes including Geass related. So I wouldn't be surprised if there will be overlapping characters from main & spin off. This isn't including a major technology that could change the war strategy.
I know Marianne is gone, but I'm going to take a guess that because Anya is in that shot immediately before we see distressed Jerimiah, that something something has to do with Anya being a vessel for Marianne previously. Maybe Marianne used Anya to bring Jerimiah to C's World. But if Jerimiah's Geass' Cancelor completely neutralized any influence Marianne had over Anya... maybe it didn't? Who was responsible for constructing Jerimiah's Geass Cancelor in the first place? V.V.? Charles? Marianne herself? If Geass power is related to the collective unconscious itself, then maybe the Geass Cancelor has its own limits?
I don't think Suzaku re-donned the Zero Suit. 1. He faked his death, if he revealed he was alive, that's be more than a bit awkward. 2. Lelouch said being Zero was Suzaku's redemption and curse, he's forced to keep playing the part. 3. I wanna see how Suzaku plays the part of Zero, I hope we get to see it.

The new enemy is a fake zero with terrorist organization, or the new geass user, mimicking zero. They struck Suzaku beforehand (hence damaged helmet) to replace the original one and started their attack. Miss Kaguja would react strongly if someone will tell her, that zero suddenly turned to evil.
Then the Zero, who is jumping on pipes maybe the fake one (Suzaku is not the only one with great abilities)
The mech in night sky is a Shinkirou with crystal weapon. Is it a new one? Maybe.
Geremiah still has a geass canceler, so he is the worst enemy to geass user. And that pound could be an illusion cast on him. Plus his and Anya's clothes are the same from the old times, so it adds, that it's an illusion (they would not wear them anymore, since Anya is not a knight of number and Jeremiah will not serve anyone except Lelouch) So Jeremiah may be fighting to cancel the illusion (hence electrical currents)
Suzaku rushing on a jet train could be a moment, when he recovered from first attack and trying to get back. Since his zero outfit was destroyed he used his old knight's set.
It's just Lelouch will not come back just because of some conflict. It needs to be something BIG, like seeing a fake Zero on screen talking about eradicating Nunnally as she was the child of Tyrant Emperor/sister of a tyrant brother.
I have a theory that ,maybe Leuloush have used his geass on everyone as his power now has grown so he can use then on anyone many times.People saw him die was just an illusion.He may have tricked the broadcast somehow as he has done it earlier many times.

The only people that would probably accept his existence are the royals and ex-leaders of the Black Knights who figured out the Zero Requirem. What's even more puzzling is to see him in his Britiannian uniform in that one shot we do see him. Would the public accept his existence? Could they blame everything he did on Lelouch too?

I was always on the Lulu lived side. The ending was amazing with either outcome. He just never left anything unfinished. And he promised to make C2 smile and knew the only real way to do that.

i feel that if the lelouch having the code theory is correct, then suzaku must know. he was there with c.c. when lelouch came up with the plan for his "death". if suzaku does know that lelouch is immortal, than this is how i think the new season will go down: after being defeated by the new threat, suzaku knows that there is only one man who is capable of taking it on, so he goes out and tries to find lelouch and get him to become zero again. it will be like the anime version of the force awakens.

I always thought that a good antagonist for R3 would be some terrorist group seeking to revive Lelouch for God knows why. And then the main plot twist is that CC is the leader, who has gone mad in her desire to reunite with him.

The ending always made me feel a little uneasy.
Why is Ushio sleeping there? Why did she look the town's embodiment for a second? Is Fuko still somewhat of a phantom, and that's why she saw Ushio as the other Ushio for a second? Did Fuko even see her as the town's embodiment? Why is she sleeping next to the tree used for all of the cards with the name of the episode? A lot of these questions go unanswered, and someone really needs to find out the answers. I think I'm over thinking. But that's why we should get a season three. Whatever, it's been like 50 years, so I'm not expecting a season three anytime soon, or ever.
The main question is how Lulu's get alive? Is he already planned

I just want to add that C.C and possibly Lelouch are at those ruins looking for more information about the old civilization, Code, and Geass. I also heard from another video reviewing the trailer that it could be some abandoned science facility that was researching Geass and Code. If the theory does turn out to be true (I rather not), it would make sense that the two of them are trying to find out more about Code Geass.

So I think that in R3 suzaku should have a Geass power. When he is killing lelouche at the end of R2 lelouche obtains immortality and the full effect of his father/V2's Code meaning that he can give Geass powers out. He then says his peace to suzaku about how he will have to live and fight for justice and be zero blah blah blah and suzaku says this Geass I will accept. So maybe without suzaku realizing it in that moment he has accepted a geass power from lelouche
