My favorite playthrough was Byzantine Empire in MedII. Was taking rebel forts and slowly building up my forces to attack the Turks. All of the sudden one of my islands is attacked by Venice. They are in a large alliance which eventually has us at war with Milan, The Papal States, and HRE all at once. For the vast majority of the playthrough I had to conquer Europe. Eventually rebuilding the Roman Empire. Gained an alliance with a very strong England and helped Spain retake everything as well. Then I set my sights finally on the muslim world. By the time I did, the Mongols had taken control of basically everything. After them came the Timiruds who were even harder to defeat. Then, as expected eventually, England betrayed me. As of right now it's basically a stalemate, but I'm hoping to kick them off of mainland Europe and free France from their control.
Hello friend. good game, and good battles too. just a few small suggestions if I may: first: about the crusade: if you want: you can easily take the city of Cairo: just forget about the other coastal cities, do not join the crusade right now, then make your army follow the Nile river, then disembark near Cairo, and attack Cairo in the same moment you join the crusade, and that's it: one turn to consruct siege equipments (battering rams or ladders or siege towers), and next turn: you assault and capture Cairo. after Cairo: you can continue the second phase of the crusade: the AI will give you 20 additional turns to capture the city of Jerusalem, and of course you don't need to keep Cairo: you can simply dismantle every building in Cairo to level 0 and profit from the money from the dismantling, and then you can abandon Cairo to be a desolate city or just leave it for the rebels that will emerge, and of course after you capture Cairo: you can immediately go for Jerusalem: you don't need to capture any other cities, consolidate Jerusalem, and wait for the Ayyubids to be weaken by rebels and prepare for another round with them later. second: about your allies: Antioch: I think the better approach is to give them no city and let them expand on their own for many reasons of course: you are expanding in muslim territory: converting their cities to your culture and religion will be a challenge to you let alone to Antioch, and you already noticed in your Teutonic campaign that whenever you offer a muslim city to the Byzantines: they lose it immediately, so the better choice is to let Antioch expand slowly on their own, and take let them their time consolidating their gains: it will be interesting to see how far they can go on their own, and of course you keep every city that you capture so you can increase your imperium and increase how many armies that you can recruit, and to gain more money and land and resources. and finally, good luck.
Great Video! But did you notice that the "Release Buffer State" button is gone? The button used to be in the neighborhood of the current location of the "zoom in" button when pulling up a city's construction interface. (Its logo was a eagle with stretched wings). Now the button is gone. I originally thought it must be a glitch in my files. However, in your video it seems the button is also nowhere to be seen. What's your take on that? On 1212 mod's steam page, the "buffer state" feature remains in the mod's official description. There is never the mention of its being suspended or removed. Are you able to release buffer states by other means?
Recruit troops is not necessary when u play as Jerusalem because when the crusades starts you only have to send the army on the crusade and you will be abble to recruit any kind of units you want for free
Very hard campaign, or at least for me, the only campaign i played in total war, was wessex in ToB, attila or 1212 seems harder Got Jerusalem and donated it to Papal States, maybe they know what to do with it more than i
Could you try to challenge yourself to not build the exact same things in each city? Even potentially to have some imbalances like squalor to have some "greedy" areas?
gonna watch this kingdom of Jérusalem lets play but when are you going to play a lets play as France in a medieval game , there's none on your channel lol edit : ok you do have a hotseat medieval 2 France lets play but it was cancelled and from 8 years ago 😅
Rise up my Crusader brethren!
and don't forget the algorithm demands sacrifices if you're enjoying the campaign!
*Deus Vulture intesifies as armed pilgrims and knights arrive in force*
Would be cool to one day see a Mongol campaign where the goal is to burn the entire map as a horde 😅

Might be cool if you did a campaign as the Ghurid Sultanate once this one is done. They have a good cavalry and elephant units.
Oh I would love me some elephant units!

How to send an army to a crusade, i didnt find when i was playing
I knew something good would happen today 🤫
This is my favorite mod
I ADORE that to get a spy you build a Catholic church
Deus Vult! lets go!
Can you have bigger unit sizes on this mod?
I'm not sure exactly. I myself haven't found one that works.
I just realized that you need burgher for the dismounted templar knights. does this count for the mounted too?
I think the mounted versions take nobles as well?
bro asmost all the time horns rebels so if you can wait
I was just watching the first campaign of this now I gotta double down on both
Are you using any AI submods, or judgement day script?
Nope, just pure medieval kingdoms 1212ad
Very hard campaign, or at least for me, the only campaign i played in total war, was wessex in ToB, attila or 1212 seems harder

What is the first thing you say in the beginning of all your videos? "Welcome to the empire everybody this is Rampand"? Is that it?
Ye
Could you try to challenge yourself to not build the exact same things in each city? Even potentially to have some imbalances like squalor to have some "greedy" areas?
I kind of did that in my teutonic campaign but the build system of Attila doesn't really mesh with that playstyle as much.
@@Rampaned fair enough I haven't been on for a while so missed that series 😊

Oh I'll eventually okay a French campaign! The closest thing I have atm is my Bretonnia campaign for WH3 xD
Greatest crusade?
Question, is this a mod?
Yup, the medieval kingdoms 1212 mod for Attila total war.
