In the original early rough drafts Hunter was actually supposed to blush a little after Luz looked at him for getting excited over wild magic. Obviously it was removed, maybe as to not cause confusion giving off the impression he liked her but to me it more struck me as an “Oh I sound nerdy” embarrassment blush then a crush blush. We’ve seen those kinds of blushes in the show before, and then of course blushes meant to show actual romantic interest.
I have to ask, just because it's been cut out in every episode this batch - you ARE seeing the cold opens, right? Young Eda finding the portal door in episode 4, Gus explaining how he injured Willow in episode 5, and Belos turning into a violent swamp looking monster in this episode? Just want to make sure they're not getting skipped by accident, because they're pretty crucial. Totally understand if it's being cut out of the final video for copyright reasons, just wanna make sure tech issues aren't hindering your viewing experience.
