A couple of comments said that engine in the fld sounded bad on the cold start that is normal for the 60 series in the 90's ,they would run on 3 or 4 cylinders and then bring on all 6.I had a ddec4 in cold starts it would start on all 6 but I think it changed the timing for about a minute then would go to normal mode. That engine was ahead of it's time one of the best diesel truck engines ever.
Its so funny how them southern boys can't deal with the winter elements.
That’s more the reason why they should be on time for work because times are rough

The lad had the sense to extinguish the fire hands up to brax
I just ordered an oil pan adhesive heat pad. Gonna plug in with the block heater so it's always heating oil with the block heater. That's all on a switch and split with a battery tender that runs any time it's plugged in. Truck sits a lot so want batteries always charged but motor doesn't need heating till 2 hrs before leaving. Also have a FASS with coolant lines connected with an inline valve to shut off during summer. Along with the probe heaters...heat is good in the cold

We mix no.1 with with no.2 blended when it gets cold Never have problems
Another good show if u get time to watch recovery and some crazy towing is highway to hell..I think is in Canada or up there in the cold..these guys been doing it for years and I watch them when I get time..great training on a recovery company...

On the rollback make sure you have twin lift cylinders one is not enough

Umm, I don't know if this helps but Heavy D, and his team, uses Propane Jet Heaters. I don't know the costs, maybe it's worth it maybe nott. I just thought it was worth a shot.
What you think about that guy that built the a hybrid is a diesel motor in there that turns on to just charge the batteries up when the battery is getting low but it's a the 1st of his kind

When it got cold I always put an anti jel additive in the fuel, never had a truck jel up.
You gotta get tht kid of urs going to do stuff he is antisocial I'm not saying it in a bad way but the kid o ly knows 1 thing and thts sitting with his dad all day he needs to have friends and money is not no friend iv seen ppl in tht. And I forgot to say my dad drive for 30 some years but he did Owen a truck up one time and it was a Peterbilt 379 with a four hundred cat in and fifteen speed in it
THATS WHY THESE BIG RIGS HAVE GLOW PLUGS IN THE ENGINE. OF IT GETS REEL COLD NEED TO PLUG THE GLOW PLUGS IN.

Those waste oil furnaces are broke more then they work when I worked for dodge we had one it was broke all the time the owner tore it out and replaced it with a hanging ceiling gas furnace..I don’t like used those furnaces. Damned near set our shop on fire
I sure hope you covered up your Donkeys with some blankets. It is cruel to make them stay out in the cold without any blankets. You should have put them in the house with you.
