This looks so good! I am trying to absorb every word hoping I can remember everything. I love swimming but I am new to it. However, it’s still twenty minutes a day that I really enjoy. 😊😊

I subscribed to your vimeo course. It's excellent and very comprehensive. I found the various drills very useful and gave me a great feeling of buoyancy. One thing I struggled with is keeping my face looking down. A few years ago, I had radiotherapy treatment for tonsil cancer which left me with reduced mobility in my neck muscles. I can keep my neck and spine aligned which means although I can't keep facing the bottom of the pool and my head turns in line with my torso, I can maintain a straight neck which has the same effect of keeping my hips and feet from sinking. On the plus side, I find the OW technique much easier and relaxed and I am getting more speed for less effort. I also feel a tremendous difference in eliminated stress to my shoulder joints and associated muscles. Also, following your drills has helped me relax as previously, my whole body felt very tense.

Just came across this style & tried it first time today, omg! Post swim shoulders feel ok & not duffed up. First session gone from 22/24 s/l to 18s/l, reduced by 4!!! It's different, it's feels right, having to think hard, will ease into it, going slowly. Thank you OAW, will look for a class/training session.

My glide is currently on average 2m:15cm on 50 SPM which I suppose is quite good for someone only 5'6" tall. I cannot wait to try this technique as I have the same shoulder issue.

Subscribed to the Vimeo this month and it's changed my stroke completely. Nearly doubled the distance I'm able to swim to over 3km! Do you teach any of the other strokes Adam?

I’m a relatively new swimmer. I’ve been trying so hard to have a proper “pool stroke” as I am training for a triathlon. I was always tired, barely swimming anywhere honestly, and already had a sore shoulder within months. I discovered your channel and it has changed everything. I was at 24 strokes or more for only 22 meters, and today I was consistently between 16-18 strokes and felt like I could have gone all day. Love the channel and appreciate you putting this out. Oh, and no more shoulder soreness.

I'm from Brazil . I love swim alone in open sea , 3km . I see yours videos to improve my crawl style. 7 moths ago I injured my right shoulder while swiming . After fisiotherapy sessions I returned . I'm 45 . Could you make a video to show the submerse phase ( the arm / forearm/ elbow) position ?

Do you teach other strokes apart from the front crawl?

Yes looking down brings natural elevation in the hips, but getting air is that hard part when you're body is horizontal looking down. It saying I can't get the air but I end up twisting slightly for it. So hard so technical is swimming.

  • @pablojimenez5736

Do you lift your elbows the same distance?

Very impressed with the logic here. Geriatric IM here who had a disastrous swim in Kona this year and wants to improve by 2025 when I go up to the 80 to 84 year group. Questions. If I sign up for the monthly access to Vimeo - what is to stop me downloading ALL your "bon mots" of wisdom and then leaving? It seems a commercial no no from your point of view. What is the advantage of following the course sign up?
