Adam Walker - Tsugaru Strait, Japan

Adam Walker, the British Oceans7 challenger from Nottinghamshire completed his 5th channel swim on 12th August 2013 with a 15.5 hour battle against the strong current and waves in the Tsugaru Strait. Swimming from Aomori to Hokkaido, Adam has to power through the current to keep himself on track. This is Adams toughest channel swim to date. Having had an operation on his left shoulder in Jan 13, he was concerned that it may affect his performance. For everyone on the boat it was an emotional finish, having watched Adam relentlessly fight the ocean to reach his goal. The Cook Strait in New Zealand and The Irish Sea are the 2 swims left on Adams list to complete!
