Well.. I mean... when you're a doctor you get a lot of patients that come in with sports injuries. Sports injuries are fairly common so you tend to treat and learn a lot about these kinds of injuries. If you're a doctor that knows about achilles tears and how to operate on it, then you generally know a lot about it and chances are you learn it because you're also interested in sports behind it. Also. Anybody can enjoy sports. An accountant, construction worker, architect, doctors, and so on. Anybody can be interested in sports. I'm also pretty sure Professor said he knows the doctor, so I wouldn't be surprised if the doctor is into basketball or other sports.
Professor, you saved me from a major injury and surgery. I'm 50 and started having some minor ankle pain. Because I had seen your story, I went into the foot doctor long before I would have normally. She told me I had an ankle bone spur because of a tight Achilles, and that I would have needed surgery if I waited longer. Now I'm stretching the Achilles and icing it several times a day so I don't have to have surgery where they'd cut my Achilles in order to shave the bone spur. So thank you, and all love and respect to you!
Careful with that ice..... Tendons don't act well will the cold. They need heat/massages/taking it through a range of motion for high reps...anything that gets the blood into the tendon.

Tore my Achilles in November playing basketball too and now I’m 7 months out and walking hooping and jogging just stay positive and strong and everything comes slowly but surely brother
He broke so many ankles, he tore his Achilles'. Maybe it's just a double edge sword. Just hope that it maintains healthy with his psyche that he is doing 100% cause all it takes is another injury and the fear/trauma of it all happening again.
I know your struggles. I destroyed my knee: ACL, MCL, PCL, meniscus, and a few other minor ones. It is a long journey for sure and for me 3 years later I'm definitely not 100% and probably never will be. One thing you said really resonated with me, it's not a physical block that doesn't allow you to do something after an injury. It's definitely the mental block. Learn to get past the mental blocks of a bad injury and you can do anything you set your mind to.
Except if something really went wrong with the surgery and maybe left a disfunction. Even then do your best feel like you can do everything, find your power.
I like Professor’s personality , no matter what happened to him , i think he can still be able to chill and meanwhile , face to the obstacle strong-willed.
I had an ACL tear last July (2019) and the fact that you were really optimistic despite facing an achilles tear which in my opinion the two injuries are both devastating is making me change my attitude towards when I face times in my life when I am at the lowest point. My Knee was WAY more bruised than what you had but it was your energy that just kept me watching the entire video. I had surgery in January (2020) because of insurance and now 8 months post op and you just made me get back onto the grind even more for a healthier leg. (FYI: Yes, when people get leg injuries it is totally okay to either shower only once in 15 days because it is SCARY to even try in a cast or with the scar tissues exposed)
I just tore my Achilles two days ago. I’m nervous about how repair and recovery will work. I appreciate you documenting your recovery. It helps seeing your good spirits

As a Christian, I appreciate this so much. After having Covid, my lungs are still recovering. I’ve been really scared & uncertain about what to expect. But after watching this, I’m reminded of my faith, and this gives me courage to go through the grind to get my lungs healed so I can ball again. Thank you immensely for sharing.
This honestly is a real inspiration to see, you came back from an injury that a lot of people say you can come back from fully, and you proved that you can, and im more than happy to see that you are playing again at 100%. It really doesn't matter that you held the footage back or didint say everything at the beginning, because you recovered from it and came clean at the end, and I have huge respect for you doing that
I seriously thought this injury happened recently and was devastated that he might have to wait a year until he would be ready to play again. Glad to see you back on the court and fully recovered! I would be so scared after toring my Achilles. Thank god it hasn't happened yet and also after playing soccer 17 years long. But you showed that you don't need to be scared of any injury because when you have a very good recovery you still can play the same way before you got injured.
I refused those pain meds after the numbness wore off. That was the worse pain during my recovery. Rehabilitation was uncomfortable, but nothing like that post surgery pain without meds. Prayin for you, bruh.
To have had this injury back in April 2019 and keep it a secret from the public until after he fully recovered is quite remarkable.. Great to know that he made a full recovery :)
Just watched this video again, but seems like the first time. We are about the same age and I grew up watching and idolizing you and all your AND1 boys. I am 1 day post opp of a complete Achilles tear from the bone and partial tear of the soleus muscle ( the calf muscle the Achilles attaches too). I was a former ball player in my younger days but those days are past me now. This video gives me hope I can still recover and get close to what I use to be. I know it will be a long journey and I wanted to thank you for posting yours.

This makes sense now. Was anyone else confused when the profesor went to the er and no one was wearing masks cause of covid?
Yesssssss same
Bruh he said he got injured in 2019
AyeHyggie he’s saying it made sense that it happened in 2019 cause if it would have happened a week ago everyone would have been wearing mask
Plus they be shakin hands
Yeah
Tore my Achilles in November playing basketball too and now I’m 7 months out and walking hooping and jogging just stay positive and strong and everything comes slowly but surely brother
It seems suiting that the only person that could break his ankles was himself...
Factsss
🤣🤣
Underrated
Lmao
He broke so many ankles, he tore his Achilles'. Maybe it's just a double edge sword. Just hope that it maintains healthy with his psyche that he is doing 100% cause all it takes is another injury and the fear/trauma of it all happening again.
The professor will always be the streetball goat. Don't sleep on him.

I shattered my ankle and had to get two surgeries. It was never the same , though I continued to work on it and played throughout college.
You Shaun Livingston or something? That sucks man
Hey man, tore my meniscus too awhile back. Was wanting to know how did you attempt to recover from it and if you needed any surgery for it?
it's like shaun Livingston's jersey
I like Professor’s personality , no matter what happened to him , i think he can still be able to chill and meanwhile , face to the obstacle strong-willed.
Bruh how this happen April 2019 and nobody knew that just shows you that everyone doesn’t put their whole life on UA-cam but I understand
plus he stacking clips. i bet he still another years worth of footy
I mean it makes sense that ppl don’t put their whole life on UA-cam lol
Why would somebody put their lifes on youtube

How's it going with the recovery?
What your condition right now?
I was like "it's weird t-jass and other people he was close to never shouted him out"
now it makes sense
Why?
Wym?
I assume it was because all of this was filmed a year ago and got uploaded now and he had us thinking this was recent
You can tell this happened a long time ago cause no one's wearing masks
They can never be at his level..they lowkey hate them
Ya'll Kept talking about the hot nurse, but not the surgeon who f'ing heard a guy Achilles snap from 20feet away

Google global truth project and read "the Present" if you want to learn the truth about life/death in just a few pgs. Nothing is more important than checking it is true
This was so well done. Like a straight up professional documentary. Props my guy, and glad you recovered :)
I was surprised to see Professor standing at the beginning of the video.
I agree with you
ua-cam.com/video/SsdoCXMVduk/v-deo.html
Man i feel bad
The injury apparently happened months ago, unless I'm misinformed.
But when did proffesor injure his ankles?
TLDR: He injured his Achilles in April 2019, he has since 100% recovered and back to normal. Videos from last 2 days were basically just a Jebait
@akimbo5u The hero we don't deserve. Thanks!
You could be right because the doctors are not wearing masks
@@playdino4331 He is right, if you couldn't tell he was a whole year through and even more, it literally said day 385 on the screen.

Mad respect for the Professor and his crew, can't even imagine not a single leak of his injury coming out. So glad you're okay now 🙏
ZraeL I freaking heard some noise over a year ago. But seen him posting vids still, so I brushed it off as lies. Hahaha wow.
When did this happen?

Commented before watching, watched the full video and glad to see you’re already recovered and healed brother. Praise God man! Inspirational for me because I didn’t fully recover but it’s never too late to grind and get back.
Antonino Neria Good luck on recovery!!
Antonino Neria take care dude
Amen !
Praying for ya brother!!
It's like I went though a time portal and wow am I happy he recoverd 100% I would say he's even better than he was before the injury. Keep it up man we all support and love what you do!
You’re looking at a man who doesn’t make compromises when it comes to his game. If anyone can come back 100% from an Achilles rupture, it’s the professor.
Cuz he’s THE professor. THE man.
KOBE 9 story: He had Achilles injury and after that he watched Pacquiao training. He’s friends with Manny and he thought that Kobe 9 shpuld be like a boxing shoes like just what Pacquiao was wearing

Right? He pulled a fast one over on us 😆
Yea. I was like wtf
how is this that fast?!
He played us like a game of basketball. How ironic.
Hahaha Really tho
I’m smack in the middle of an Achilles rupture recovery myself. Just got an injection of inspiration and I could not be more ready to attack rehab even harder. Thanks for the motivation!
Welcome to the club Professor - your in good company and will be Ball’n in no time.
- thanks for sharing the journey! Where the Achilles rupture club at?
When you told the physical therapist your goals, and she said "how about walking?"... My eyes teared up. I work in the rehabilitation field, and it's an important thing that you can show also the mental challenges of the process. I wish you achieve your goals, and readjust to the new reality. 🙏
Wait that's so crazy, he hid all of this from the entire internet for over a year? That's actually insane.
saaayin bro!
Its smart tbh
What's insane is he just started making content again. He's had a years worth of content stored. Imagine how much he has in the vault
Finally he’s got the fresh cut after the state of his hair during the surgery

Does this mean he had many videos recorded before this damn
“I learned a lot” is the most true statement from anyone that had a serious injury. I’m glad you’re back full swing. You did everything the right way 👍
At 5'7" with a 42" jump, I was a competitive league player in Orlando. After 14 yrs of playing I ruptured my left Achilles. I recovered, then ruptured my right Achilles 3 yrs later. I def empathize and truly feel what you went through, especially since this is your livelihood. Glad to see your journey. I don't underestimate the value of simply walking and blessed for that everyday. Thanks for your story ... you're a good dude! #blessUp
After the injury yu grew alot taller don t ya?
Just had surgery last week… exact same thing happened to me on the court. I have followed you since and1 and this video really uplifted my spirits today. Long road ahead but I’m ready. Thank for sharing this with us. And man, what an awesome team of people you have around you.

injuries are incredibly humbling man, esp. for athletes. they can make us wonder if it's all worth it, and make us thankful to be walking. crazy to see you using a motorized cart, shit.
great video, glad to see ur up and moving brother. i feel like after an injury like this it makes us so hesitant to drive as hard as we used to, and in the back of ur mind while ur playing, there's always going to be that lingering thought: is this the time it's going to happena gain? truly messes w/ ur game.
keep at it sir, always love ur content.
Professor is such an OG in this game. He is more of a celebrity than people realize. I grew up watching And1. Going to And1 games. Just to watch The Professor break people's ankles and throw some nasty oops. I'm glad to see his recovery. Dude is so underrated.
lol, no. Professor IS overrated. I watched And1 growing up as well. Got all their mixtapes. Everything he knows, he literally stole from other prominent streetballers, especially HotSauce. he wouldn't stand a chance in a 1v1 against any of the OGs.

So basically he tore his Achilles a year ago and no one knew
That’s really shocked me
I was confused about that as well
Why is this not top comment 😤
I was confused too
I'm confused as hell. So the video he posted a few days ago about the ACL was a year ago?
When you have some kind of a bad leg injury you realize how important is to be able just to walk for yourself again. I tore my ACL last year and rehab took 7 months. Good luck man for everything
LJ Room what is acl?
Vxipe anterior collateral ligament it’s the ligament that’s on the inside of your knee. Towards the back. Just look it up it’s a horrible injury. I tore my MCL that’s the one on the inward side of your knee that sucked but acl is worse
Big wave Dave in proud I’m 100% not breaking tearing or fracturing anything. But they say you shit a lot when you break a bone
Took me a good 1.5 esp the inflammation...so yeah take your time
Any injury makes us realize how we take our healthy working body for granted
Honestly kinda scared watching him do the physical therapy......didn't want to see him re injur himself
Boi how u injure urself in physical therapy
LeGoat JaGoat you can go into physical therapy to early and can cause the injury to be worst
