I agree but at the same time I get the same narcisistic vibe i got from Jim in man on the moon.
      Though, also a good movie.

Though Hanks will be amazing in the movie, I just cant get over thinking Edward Norton would have been a good choice. Physically they look similar, sound similar, and Norton is one hell of an actor.

Things I know Fred Rogers enjoyed (besides loving everyone he met😊):
-Tom Hanks in BIG and FORREST GUMP
-DR. QUINN MEDICINE WOMAN (he guest starred once)
      -Pretzels
-Chocolate (he always gave it out on Halloween). Just over 15 years since his passing, and Fred Rogers continues to get cooler even now😎

It's an amazing performance given how different the two men look and sound. The thing Tom nails that makes the performance a success is that he understands the core of who Mr. Rogers is. He understands that the most interesting person in the world to Fred Rogers is the one he's talking to. The fact that he immediately empathizes with the interviewer and makes the one person in this clip who's completely invisible feel special, that's the Mr. Rogers magic right there. That's why the performance is so perfect, even if the physical resemblance isn't spot on.

The last movie that made me cry was a movie I haven't even seen yet and it was actually just a movie trailer. That movie trailer was, 'A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood'. I just found out about this movie last night and I immediately bursted into uncontrollable tears of joy and happiness. That was truly a weird feeling because I'm not the crying type, AT ALL. It did feel good to release or express some type of emotion, which is something that I apparently needed to do, I guess.

Definitely cry more often. It's a natural thing our bodies do to release pain. I can only imagine how much you've held in all these years. Don't care one ounce about what others think of you. In the end, it's just an opinion. How you view yourself means WAY more. Be kind to yourself.

I saw the trailer for the first time in a restaurant and I almost cried too. I was confused at first, because the first part of the trailer I saw was Tom Hanks singing "Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" as he was walking in, and my seat was far away from the tv, so I couldn't see clearly, yet I still knew it sounded different than Mr Rogers. How I could remember that after all these years, I'm not sure. He made an impression in so many people's hearts, that's for sure. He was nice to everyone, he never had anything bad to say about anyone.

But as soon as it was announced that Tom Hanks was cast as Mr. Rogers, everyone in Pittsburgh that I talked to about it said that he was the perfect choice.

It's crazy how it turns out they are related, they share a 6th great grandfather who was born in 1732, and Fred Roger's favourite actor was Tom Hanks and he goes on to play him in a movie... I find that all so fascinating. Perfect choice is right!

Mr Rogers had a very Kermit quality though. If I was playing him I would search for that core as well. Rogers had a thin physicality like Kermit and also had a slight bit of a Kermity register in his voice. Interesting how Henson and Rogers gained popularity along similar lines. I think this movie could be great as Tom has a goodness we all recognize but it might be a different shade.
