I was lucky to be able to watch James and Dan film this review and also the vlog on Lykia Links. I have to say they are lovely lads, extremely generous with their time, and very encouraging of all the guys who went on the Turkey trip. They each gave me some PXG balls to try out at a couple of courses we subsequently played and I have to say, the balls were superb. Sadly, a few of the balls are now at the bottom of some very pretty water features! Operator error I’m afraid.
I love this style of video. Would be good to see all ball and club reviews done this way and maybe some vlogs with you and someone else playing and walking and talking. Would love to see some videos with you and Jordan out on course together chatting away.
I have played Lykia Links several time it really is a hidden gem of a course. Great video Dan don't know where all the negativity for the PXG ball came from or why it happened. I will give the PXG ball a try I use PXG irons, Titleist woods, Cleveland wedges and Odyssey putter so why not.
Great vlog as always. I play PXG clubs and love them. Was a bit dubious about the balls as heard a few reviews about cutting up quickly and poor feel whilst putting. Got a dozen and have to say I was very impressed just as you both were. Only played two rounds so far but with the same ball and no different to my usual Prov V1 in terms of wear n tear. And if anything, goes a little bit further. Great feel on the green too. Found it stopped on the green well too. With a price tag at £45/dozen whats not to like. Everyone is different but will be playing these for the season.
Durability tests need to be realistic - hitting trees, hitting people on the next tee, hitting cars, hitting tee markers out the hosel etc. Let's get it scientific!!!
Really interesting Dan, you need to try and get James on your channel as much as possible. Did you mention the recommended price for a dozen, be interesting to compare it to Pro Vs?
I've had pretty much the same performance from the premium line of balls from most companies off the tee. For me it comes down to feel and spin around the green. But I only get current line balls when Dick's sporting goods sends out 10-15 dollar coupons. Or I get last year's balls on clearance and save usually get them once down to 30 dollars a dozen. I'll have to find one out on the course to try or wait till they mark them down next year 👍
The review of this ball from PXG is so good. I reckon with the amount of Titleist hats, clubs and normally the balls as well most would think the review would be heavily biased, the PXG ball is good but not as good as a Prov 1 or whatever but no totally unbiased which is a welcoming change from other reviewers of kit. James what a player, shots to order. I can do that 50 yard thin, 1 yard top 😃. With James with his ability i reckon he could use anything really, not a Top Flite of course but any premium ball. Dan the fourth shot after the quick lesson segment was funny. When the reach my pro shop might give em a go. £45.00 for a dozen they gonna have to be good for that amount of money.
Hmmm, PXG offers this ball only, then why get fitted? There is no other PXG brand to move to, and I am not going to change clubs to match the ball. But a nice look at its performance.
Is it me or is it coincidence that PXG release a golf ball in the same month USGA & RA call for a roll back of the ball ? Now I’m not saying the ball is slow but I see USGA and RA needing to demonstrate a “conforming” ball
Given the price point in the UK, do you think people will give it a go, over say the titleist or chrome soft? Personally i use the Stripe ball, mainly for putting reasons, but wld consider PXG if it was in the same bracket as it.
Interesting, Rick Shiels put out a video saying they are overhyped, disappointing and underperformed against other premium balls - never know if there's any bias there so I'm inclined to trust your view. You missed out one major point, what is the price of these? That is a big factor for many people
Dan, Joe here. Was wondering why you are not playing the AD UB shaft that you were fitted for in your previous videos. The results were quite impressive vs the AV White Tensei that you are playing in this video. Will you please comment? Thanks.
Hi Joe, yeah moved back quite quickly to be honest, struggled on the course with the shaft, it was coming out very low and right. As I pulled down on the club it felt as though the head was being left behind me and struggled to square it all up.
@@DanHendriksenGolf I had the AV white stiff in my TA3. I have your AB UB 6 in my TSR3. I was hitting it lower as well. Raised it to a 9.75 and the results were like like my AV White but with a bit more distance with control. Now you have me thinking...I will purchase the AV white and test it on my TSR3 just to see. Thanks for the response and keep the videos coming!
Use a golf ball maybe a couple of rounds 😂 think most of us use them until we loose them Seen these in other reviews and it’s just another experience premium ball and not much difference to the other premium balls

With the quality of content you're putting out it's one of life's mysteries how the channel ONLY have 44k subscribers! Keep it coming please!
Thank you so much for all your support with the channel, we just keep going 🚀

Quality.
Using James added a real depth to the review. Easily the best review of the PXG ball I've seen .👍
Love the discussions between Dan and James. And Dan, if you ever get rid of that old 5 wood, just quit the game. Lol
Refreshing to see the PXG ball being tested out on the course and by a player of James's standard.
Nice to see some positivity about the ball, seen a few reviews being overly critical of what looks like a great product and a good price point
Great review & a treat to re-live the great time we spent in Türkiye - it is an interesting approach from PXG to only launch one option!

Good unbias review 😎
Tried this ball when it first come out and was very impressed.

Interesting good to see you got James trying it out
Wonderful review of the PXG golf ball. Nice hitting the various shot shapes that Dan aske for. Cheers.

😂
Some good points here
Oh, let’s add cart paths, fences, rocks, and of course the underside of irons.
Really interesting Dan, you need to try and get James on your channel as much as possible.

Nice review. James does have some game that’s for sure.
Very impressive, I also play Wilson Staff but I would imagine a very different one to James.
Be really interesting to see you get James hit a range of balls going from cheap through to top end and see data
Great golf lesson on that par 3!!!!

I'll watch this on the way back from my lesson 😁👌👌
Great review dan and James. Honest and unbiased. Good to see you play a variety of shots. If only we could have takes 2's and 3's on the course 😅
Great review/test of the ball Dan. Looks to be a great ball.
Hey Dan how about that quick lesson off James at 8.05 , what a difference.

Looks and feels great love to test this ball👍
top notch, Dan. James is some player.
He's good that James!! The ball seems to be very good, must try it myself.
UA-cam is hilarious. You say they remove subscribers but I get recommendation of you and Lester reviewing pancakes 😂
🤣
Keep up the nice work Dan 🙂
What James told you before about tee it high and let it fly looks good.
The PXG ball is made in the Vietnam golf ball factory, other brands made in Vietnam are Spalding lol
Get Up Dan...thanks Dan for an excellent ball review...James Ruth is a machine 😏
Funny, Rick Shiels did a similar test and panned the ball. I think this test was more accurate.
Quality content Dan.
Good review.
Can I have a lesson with James please 😂😂😂...also lovely tan James

Did you guys find that it scuffed more? I noticed that on mine but not sure if it's because I was looking for it
It was absolutely fine for us Derek 👍
@@DanHendriksenGolf rad! Can’t think of a reason not to switch balls 🤘

Too expensive for me in the UK. It needs to be a similar price to Seed or Snell or Vice and the likes.

The problem is John, price changes so much from country to country, I could reference it but it’s different online than in store also.
A fair comment Dan, thanks
Did you cancel at St Mellion today Dan?
Unfortunately we did, weather was terrible this morning at St Mellion, not good for cameras, looking for March 31st now 👍
That would account for why I didn't see you there then 😂
If only you two could putt. Just kidding great review

I just have this aversion to PXG. The feeling might be irrational but I just can't get past the company seeming a bit full of themselves.

how comes u dont upload as many matches as u used too
Cost
@@DanHendriksenGolf fair enough, its shame u haven't got a lot bigger u should be well over 200k subs by now
Durability? About 3 per round of golf…tick 😂
I heard it was a bit clicky
😂
Funny, isn't the same ball the everybody else sais it's crap ??
Can only give you feedback on what we find 👍
TXG tested this ball against the ProV1x and they were very impressed... the numbers were virtually identical.
This new ball will be perfect as long as it’s 10-15 yds short 😂
well played sir
