Worx wg329e 9 Jawsaw `safety` chainsaw review

Chainsaws - scary things with fast speed chains and razor sharp teeth just waiting to do scary damage to whatever gets in their way! however that is not the case with this one, its relatively safe approach with a enclosed sheathed blade and a unique patented swinging cam mechanism requires little to no effort to cut either in the air or on the ground, simply push the handle into the body whilst pulling the trigger to give you a simple yet effective and safe cut on any wood up to 5 inches in diameter and 5 inches deep, the small 8 inch bar simply swipes across and cuts even the toughest wood in seconds! runs on 1x 20v powershare battery ands can make up to 40 cuts on 1 single charge (based on cutting hard 18 month seasoned oak with 25% moisture content typical girth - 3- 4 inches)
I really like this and it is a valued tool to add to your arsenal of Worx tools, especially good for those with a log burner wanting to slice and dice some fire wood.

Was quite tempted by this when it was heavily discounted in Worx's ebay store, but it reminded me too much of a laryngeal jaw (eg the movie Alien, or an eel which has this too). So I hid behind the sofa instead. Will make do with their reciprocating saw!

Hahaha! I believe it is currently too :-) such a fascinating concept, inspired slightly by the black and decker aligator I think with that immense 'WORX' touch! Haha it does remind me of alien too :-D

Hello, have you seen the 8ah batterys from worx? If you use 4 of the 8ah batterys in the worx 80v lawn mower you get an insane 32ah.

Haha yes I have and rest assured when they land on UK shores I will find the ship they enter the country on and follow that container to the distribution centre where my order will be picked :-D rest assured my goal is to obtain 4 of these and test them on the wg761 for ultimate of ultimate endurance tests! Though the 80v means you still only get 8ah otherwise it would be 20v 32ah because of parallel currents instead of series voltages.

If you are a first time chainsaw user it is a near foolproof design with very little risk associated with it, this alone must be a plus for it no?
