I bought a 576XP for £400 ($600?) here in England, I've had small electric chainsaws in the past as I only use it for firewood that I find.
As i'm not too experienced in chainsaw use, I found this saw at the beginning a little scary! The more I use it, the more my confidence grows, but it's definitely a monster to be respected! Way more of a saw than I actually need, I think i'm going to get an 18 inch bar on it in the future as it came with a 24 inch. I really probably should have got a smaller saw, but the price of it - I couldn't resist!
Each time I use it i'm learning and getting better, thanks for the videos!!

Tim, I just got my 572xp today and I must admit, you were not lying about this things performance. In just a few quick cuts out of the box, it runs noticeably better than my 576xp did. I'm running Oregon jgx chain and by the video, it performs similar to the c85. I've got some trees to cut tomorrow and hope to break this saw in.
Very surprised that the pit smokers aren't lined up for your hickory cut offs. Very powerful demo of the saw and accessories. Cheers and Happy New Year!

I asked the dealer what they recommend for my new 562XPW with a 24” Sugi Hara bar they said the C85 X Cut, bought 4 cant wait to get it all together.

My son just bought a new X-Cut C85 chain (18", 3/8, .058") for his Jonsered CS 2258. Seems to work really good so far.

That chain sure dose a good job of cutting out of the box. I like the 572xp saw but that 1000.00 cost is too much for me . Have great New Year Tim and keep the videos coming. LATER
I bought one. It was painful. 1119 with the big bar. I cut 10 cord and enough logs to build a log cabin this summer. Did a bunch of the notches for the cabin with it. Couldn't put it down. I hope you get one.
You won't get a 572 xp today for 1,000 .00 , 1200.00 now, you could have saved 200.00

Most paper mills do not want a lot of Hickory because of the bark and the way it debarks. I 'd use the hickory to smoke meat with.

I have this saw and sometimes use these chains. They are noticably better. They also cost more, so some will be able to justify it, and some won't.
Needless to say, the 572 is a pretty amazing saw.

With this line of 572 vids ur going to sell a lot of them for Husqvarna. I kno I’ll be getting one when available. Husqvarna is smart to utilize good UA-cam channels to test and evaluate.
I think the “X” cut chain would shine on a 390, 395 power head maybe even an auto tune 576xp. Just seems to aggressive for the smaller saws to power through. Great video keep up the great work and research.

the C85 chain looks very similar to Stihl's 33RS chain.
That is such a torque,ee saw! I would imagine you could put a butter knife on it and it would chew through the hickory! I would like to see the saw run a skip tooth chain. Do you run winter grade oil in your saws at low temperatures?
Husqavarna should be happy with you testing their stuff you really put it through hell and it did a great job

Have a great New Year Tim, I have watched you running song as long as I've been watching you and I've had a lot of chips throwing at me through the camera over the years. And the size of the chips from the saw today what's the difference between a snowstorm and a blizzard in that the size of the chips were much larger today looks like one hell of a chain one hell of a saw. Looks like Husqvarna it's going to wipe the mat versus the Stil,

My 572 came with an x cut. I've never timed it I can't tell much difference in that chain and the ones I have hanging on the 28 nail. I'm ok with both. Was wondering on the price difference. I have 10 or so chains sharpened up I rotate. When they are sharp, all are sharp.
I like the 28 for firewood. I can stand up.

Hi Tim, Which saw would you recommend for ripping (as you did time stamp 8:40 in this video), the 390xp or this 572xp? I do ripping just like that in large hard maple logs. Appreciate your input! This new 572xp is impressive but its not available here locally until later in the spring. Thanks, Rene

@@cotontop3 Hi Tim, took your advice and got a 395xp. Been running it for a few weeks and its the best decision I ever made. I'm noodling with a 24" bar and a cut which used to take me 20 sec plus to do now taking 4 or 5 sec with the 395! This thing is going to pay for itself in a few months just in time saved! Thanks Tim!!

Tried the X-Cut today on my Husqvarna 440 and WOW, I saw the difference and was very happy / impressed with it!!! I will buy again and even get one for my Echo 16in!!
X cut is just at a different level of saw chains. U can also go a long time between sharpening it also.

estimatisfree lots of stuff can dull a chain fast- dirty wood, hitting the ground with the chain, hitting metal, an old fence. There’s just endless stuff that can mess ur chain up.
