i like the 2008 one, however i do think that this one is better due to the lesser amount of effects added to the song. it can be hard to tell what i’m hearing at certain parts in the 2008 version IMO
like, i get the song, but the middle part makes no sense. if the song is about time being the ruler of everything and no matter what we do to boost our egos it will all fall on time. but what does the slobbering over clovers and bird circling in for the kill mean in context to the rest of the song

Actually hidden in the sand was a hidden track in the 2005 release. That’s why theres a really long pause between the end of the song and the waves.
