My Made-in-Germany Singer 726G had this problem; but with this super-easy Video, I'll get it working again. I was really worried I'd have to disassemble the entire machine, but thanks to your video, I know just how to get it working again. THANK YOU SO MUCH !
“Not able to remove bobbin case”: SOLUTION - On the off chance that anyone is still reading these comments, I am working on a 600e machine right now and was having the same problem of not being able to remove the bobbin case. Also having an issue with the needle thread hanging up and not forming the stitch properly, even though with the case out, everything was apparently moving as it should with timing and such. I FINALLY figured out that the issue because I have the machine out of the cabinet so it is easier for me to work on (HA!) AND it does NOT have the bumper feet on the bottom, so the actual machine case is sitting flat on the table when it is upright. The whole problem was caused because there is a linkage of some kind at the front left of the machine that was being pushed upwards by the table - but it was ALSO pushing the entire bobbin area upwards so that there was not room for the bobbin case to be removed OR put in. It was basically locked into position. I could not get the bobbin case out for the life of me without flipping the machine on its back (whereupon it fell right out), and I literally spent several hours trying to put it back in once I DID get it out. It is a very small change in position but it is enough that it basically locks the case either in or out depending. The only reason I noticed it myself was because the sewing gods finally took pity on me when I noticed the bobbin race moving up as I ser the machine back upright. 🤣🤣🤣 I finally tried propping the machine on a pair of pliers just to test my theory and lo and behold, the bobbin case went right in as it SHOULD and the machine sews properly. Anyway, Randy, thank you for all your help in my being able to get this lovely machine up and running - your videos have been enormously helpful!
Easy answer. 600-E or 603. Any of the first issued touch and sews will work for you. The later models like the 628 etc have the composite gears. Same almost identical machines, just with non metallic gears. FAIL! If your looking at a touch n sew and you’re not sure about it, look at the gears and stick a magnet on them if you want to be sure. Metal gears are awesome. Non metal gears are not.
@@randyyoursewingmachineman9954 That part has already been done. Once the black bobbin holder is removed, then I move the bobbin case lever and move to the right. The case still is stuck. Is there something holding the case that just won't release?

In your opinion which singer touch ad see is the best?

Singer 600 bobbin case refuses to release. All parts are oiled and moves easily but bobbin case will not come out as videos describe.
Be sure that your bobbin winder apparatus is released. The button that engages it, needs to be pushed to the disengaged mode.

@@doriswolff9507 is your bobbin winder in the “wind” mode?
Or is it in the “sew” mode?
Is your button on the front, far right of the machine? On the bed plate on the leading edge.
@@randyyoursewingmachineman9954 The button is on the front edge to the right and in the sew mode.
Thank you!!
